Let’s turn to the 23rd chapter of the 23rd book of the Bible

Psalms 23

If you know anything in the Bible you probably know Psalms 23.

Its only 6 verses

Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.

3 He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name s sake.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.

*  Resting, peace and power in the midst of adversity, hardship and enemies

The Good S hepherd   The Great Shepherd   The C hief S hepherd

   John 10 :11             Hebrews 13:20             1 Peter 5:4

When we say “the Lord is my shepherd,” we are saying that we are His flock or we are His tribe, because if there is anything we have learned from the Lord being our shepherd and the experience of living in Psalm 23 life, is that we are completely dependent upon Him.

The land of the shepherd is hard and harsh. It has the Valley of the Shadow of Death and there’s no way around. We have to go through it. So we had better have God with us

DEATH CANNOT BE AVOIDED.

DEATH MUST BE CONQUERED AND OVERCOME.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

I will fear no evil;

For You are with me;

Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

The Land of the shepherd is hard and harsh.

Worry is dealing with tomorrow’s problems on today’s pasture.

Words mentioned 23 times in Scripture include:

killeth

baptism

leaven

H ell (all in the New Testament)

The word “Death” is in the Bible 138 times

or 6 x 23

Romans 6:23For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

What we see in the 23rd verse of the 6th chapter of the 6th verse is exactly what the number 23 means prophetically.

Everyone has to face Death and everyone is offered life through Jesus Christ .

John 5:24“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.”

John 8:51“Most assuredly, I say to you, if anyone keeps My word he shall never see death.”

John 8:52 ‘If anyone keeps My word he shall never taste death.’

Romans 6:8-10Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, 9 knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. 10 For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God.

1 Corinthians 15:20-27But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21 For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. 23 But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming. 24 Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. 25 For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. 26 The last enemy that will be destroyed is death. 27 For “He has put all things under His feet.”

2 Corinthians 1:9 – Yes, we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead,

2 Corinthians 1:10 – who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver us; in whom we trust that He will still deliver us

“Fear the Lord” is in the Old Testament 23 times

The fear of the Lord is…

When you love what God loves and hate what God hates

The fear of the Lord is…

When you choose and live the life of Christ over the the natural life you would have with him.

The fear of the Lord is… when you are loyal to the King and His Kingdom and rebel against the Global assault against the promises of God.

The fear of the Lord is who you live according to God’s heart and not according to the whims of your flesh.

Fear Not Little Children

TODAY’S PROPHETIC NUMBER – 12/31/2022

Luke 12:31 – But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you.

What are you chasing after? God blesses your pursuits, but His desire is for you to know His heart and who you are in Him. Ironically, God promises His goodness and mercy will follow us when we are pursuing Him and His Kingdom.

Declaration: I will seek and learn God’s ways, His heart, and know my identity in Him. I am a God chaser and He promises that when I seek, I will find!

FEAR NOT LITTLE CHILDREN

I want to encourage you to go through Psalms 8. It’s all about the majestic side of God and, my friends, His indescribable majesty is something all of us need to tap into.

“O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!” – Psalms 8:9

You know what? Each of us has this giant hole in our life only God can fill. We have to recognize that and embrace His willingness to fill it.

It’s His joy, His willingness to be that for you! It’s His willingness to give you the Kingdom. Jesus says, “Fear not little children. It is the Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” It doesn’t wear Him out to be your Daddy. It makes Him happy.

Do you know Him as your Daddy? Do everything you can to learn how to approach God in a relationship as His son or daughter, and not just a servant. Servants don’t know what the master is doing. They have no rights and no inheritance. In short, a servant is an orphan.

Jesus’ blood paid for you to be a joint heir – to share in His inheritance, eat at His table and have access to all the power and authority that He has. Are you a member of the family or a servant? Are you a beloved child or an orphan? It’s your choice.

Today, let the majesty of Jesus overwhelm you. Let Him fill that empty space in your heart. Surrender those strongholds in your life and let your inheritance take root. It’s indescribable.

Exceeding Greatness

TODAY’S PROPHETIC NUMBER

Matthew 12:30 – He, who is not with Me, is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters abroad.

The passionate heart of our King is not satisfied with mediocre. You can’t sit on the fence when you are a follower of King Jesus. The fence belongs to the enemy. The Lord has called you to radically follow Him. If you accept this call and submit to the image of His plan, you will gather as He does.

Declaration: I accept the Lord’s call on my life. I submit and conform my life to His plan daily.

EXCEEDING GREATNESS

In Ephesians 1:19, Paul uses two very strange Greek words that aren’t found anywhere else in the Word – “exceeding greatness.”

…the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power – Ephesians 1:18-19

What he’s doing is reaching for words because Jesus is so indescribable. Paul also knew it is so important that we know what cannot be known.

I want you guys to look at the words, “I pray that you would know…”

How can you know something that can’t be known? Because we’re talking about two different things. You know by experience what you cannot know by understanding.

There are some things God doesn’t want you to figure out, but He still wants you to experience them. He wants you to know what is exceedingly great. This kind of knowing is not the kind of knowing that you know in your mind.

It’s the kind of knowing where the Bible says, “O taste and see that the Lord is good.” Okay, it doesn’t say understand and know that the Lord is good. It says taste

Taste means personal experience. All of your senses have to do with a supernatural understanding. Your eyes have to do with prophetic vision. Your nose has to do with prophetic discernment and tasting has to do with prophetic or supernatural experience.

There are some things you experience in God and people want an answer. You have no answer. All you can say is that God is awesome. That’s okay because it’s for you, not for them. They need to go after their own walk.

Do you know what cannot be known? Go after His greatness through experiencing Him. You’ll never be the same.

Describing the Indescribable

TODAY’S PROPHETIC NUMBER

Mark 12:29 – Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.’”

Want more revelation in your life? It’s starts by living with your head on the chest of the Lord, keeping in rhythm with the heart of God like John did. Revelations are not given to add another wrinkle to our brain. They are an invitation to step closer to Lord and walk in oneness with Him.

Declaration: The Lord is in Me and I’m in Him. I will personally experience the way He is revealing Himself to me.

DESCRIBING THE INDESCRIBABLE

The Apostle Paul was not a great speaker. People who heard him preach were generally underwhelmed and disappointed. But his letters? They are something else!

Paul is a writer and untold millions are still reading his words over 2,000 years after his glorious death. So, you don’t have to take my word for it that Paul was very descriptive, had a command of words and knew how to talk. Yet, when it came to him trying to explain Jesus, he just says, “Indescribable.”

“Praise be to God for His indescribable gift.” – 2 Corinthians 9:15

It’s not that there are too many words that describe Jesus so Paul decided to make it brief, it’s that there aren’t enough words to describe Him. Indescribable.

Is that how you know Him? Is your walk with Him so intimate and personal that you just don’t have the vocabulary to put it into words? If it’s not, it should be and that’s up to you.

Let me just encourage you to live an indescribable life with the Lord Jesus Christ. You should have miracles happening in your life that you can’t explain. You should see mind-blowing revelation and the blossoming of the Fruit and the Gifts of the Spirit in your daily life.

There needs to be a place in your walk with the Lord Jesus Christ that you just can’t explain. And know this: you don’t have to explain it to anyone. That’s called intimacy. It’s when you belong to Jesus and He belongs to you, and you’ve got this conversation going between you that only means something to the two of you.

How do you tell someone else about it? You don’t. Like Mary, you “hide it away in your heart” and consider it day and night until it all comes to fruition. You can try to write it down, and I encourage you to journal those things but don’t be surprised if there are not enough words to describe the indescribable one.

The Last Word for 2022

Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2022

Pastor Troy Brewer, OpenDoor Church, Burleson, TX

Unforgiveness

Mark 11:25-26 (NKJV)And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. 26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Matthew 6:14-15 (NKJV) – “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”

Luke 6:37 (NKJV) – “Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven”.

Matthew 18-21 (NKJV) – Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?”

22 Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven. 23 Therefore the kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. 24 And when he had begun to settle accounts, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents. 25 But as he was not able to pay, his master commanded that he be sold, with his wife and children and all that he had, and that payment be made. 26 The servant therefore fell down before him, saying, ‘Master, have patience with me, and I will pay you all.’ 27 Then the master of that servant was moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt.

28 “But that servant went out and found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii; and he laid hands on him and took him by the throat, saying, ‘Pay me what you owe!’ 29 So his fellow servant fell down at his feet and begged him, saying, ‘Have patience with me, and I will pay you all.’ 30 And he would not, but went and threw him into prison till he should pay the debt. 31 So when his fellow servants saw what had been done, they were very grieved, and came and told their master all that had been done. 32 Then his master, after he had called him, said to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you begged me. 33 Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you?’ 34 And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him.

35 “So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses.”

Finishing Well

2 Timothy 4:7I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

Acts 20:24 (NKJV) – But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.

Hebrews 12:1 (NKJV) – Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us

Philippians 3:14 (NKJV) – I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

2 John 8 (NKJV) – Look to yourselves, that we do not lose those things we worked for, but that we may receive a full reward.

Throwing Off Weights

Hebrews 12:1 (NKJV)Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us

Matthew 11:28-30 (NKJV) – Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am [a]gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Die To Self

Galatians 2:20I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Philippians 1:21For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

Romans 6:3-4 (NKJV)
Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? 4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Remembering

Isaiah 46:9 (NKJV)Remember the former things of old, For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me

John 14:26 (NKJV) – But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

THERE IS A KINGDOM PRINCIPLE OF REMEMBERING

Remember certain things causes certain things to happen

THE KINGDOM PRINCIPLE OF REMEMBERING:

The promises God has given you

(This list will keep you in times of trouble)

Galatians 4:28

In Galatians 4:28, you and I are called “Children of promise.”

Psalms 27:13 – I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.

Start off by doing a Google search on scriptures on God’s promises. Then begin to seek the Lord and ask Him to help you know His specific Promises for you personally.

Jeremiah 29:11 – For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

IF YOU ARE GOING TO LIVE WITH HOPE YOU ARE GOING TO LIVE WITH THE CONSTANT MEMORY OF THE PROMISES GOD HAS GIVEN YOU

THE KINGDOM PRINCIPLE OF REMEMBERING

The miracles God has done in your life

(This list will keep you trusting God)

God Almighty warned the people of Israel, “Do not forget the miracles that I did for you. Don’t forget how I brought you out of Egypt. Don’t forget. You have good reason to trust me.

I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. Psalms 77:11

For thy testimonies are my meditation.                                                                                                                           Psalms 119:99

IF YOU ARE GOING TO LIVE YOUR LIFE TRUSTING GOD, YOU ARE GOING TO REMEMBER HOW GOD HAS DELIVERED YOU OVER AND OVER AGAIN

THE KINGDOM PRINCIPLE OF REMEMBERING

The privileges and things you love about your life

(This list will keep you thankful)

John 1:16, NLT From his abundance we have all received one gracious blessing after another.

IF YOU DON’T HAVE A LONG LIST OF WHAT YOU ARE THANKFUL FOR, YOU HAVE A LONG LIST OF WHAT YOU GRIPE ABOUT .

Remembering how blessed you are will cause you to be thankful.

THE KINGDOM PRINCIPLE OF REMEMBERING

The prayers God has answered in your life

(This list will keep you praying)

The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.

Psalm 145:18

THE KINGDOM PRINCIPLE OF REMEMBERING

Remember the people God has placed in your life

(This list will keep you relational)

Rick Warren writes in The Purpose Driven Life, “I have been at the bedside of many people in their final moments, when they stand on the edge of eternity, and I have never heard anyone say, ‘Bring me my diplomas! I want to look at them one more time. Show me my awards, my medals, that gold watch I was given.’ When life on earth is ending, people don’t surround themselves with objects. What we want around us is people – people we love and have relationships with. In our final moments we all realize that relationships are what life is all about.”

Philippians 1:3-4,  I thank God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy.

THE KINGDOM PRINCIPLE OF REMEMBERING

Galatians 2:10

Remember the poor

(This list will keep you humble and effective in the Kingdom)

 THE KINGDOM PRINCIPLE OF REMEMBERING

2 Timothy 2:8Remember that Jesus Christ is raised from the dead

REMEMBER THAT life has slapped death in the face.

Remember that that  JESUS called The Shot and prophesied that on the third day, He would rise again. Remember that for those of us who are in Christ, death has no sting and the grave has no victory.

Remember that  Jesus didn’t just raise from the dead for Him. He is risen for all of us believers for all time.

This is what I remember when I am facing my own mortality.

This is what I think of when I begin to feel overwhelmed.

I will remember that Jesus Christ is risen from the dead.

And when I remember that Jesus is raised from the dead, I remember that nothing is impossible.

REMEMBERING AND BEING WATCHFUL QUALIFY US FOR ESCAPING TERRIBLE THINGS AND ENTERING INTO WONDERFUL THINGS.

ORIGINS OF IDENTITY

Sunday, Jan. 1, 2023

Pastor Jerry Sellers, OpenDoor Church, Burleson, TX

vs 6: And God said,

Genesis 1:3 – It begins with 3 words …And God said

vs 9: And God said,

vs11: and God said,

vs 14: and God said,

vs 20: and God said,

vs 24: and God said,

vs26: and God said,

Eight times in the first 26 verses of the very first chapter in the very first book of the Bible, we see that everything God created, He created by saying it–by speaking it into existence. By declaring it.

God speaks things into existence by the power in His word

When God speaks, He creates. Because God is consistent to His character, the same thing happens  when He created man. When God created anything or when He called things into order, He used the power of His Word.

I want you to get an understanding in how God created:

When God wanted something done, He first decided what He wanted and why He wanted it. Then He spoke to what He wanted it made of, and whatever God said to what He spoke to, came out exactly as He said.

Let me say this again so you can get a clear understanding of this principle found here in how God creates by using the power of His word: When God wanted to create something, He first decided why He wanted it and then He decided what material He wanted it made of. Then whatever He wanted it made of, He spoke to what He wanted it made of and whatever God said to what He was speaking to became exactly what He said.

If you can wrap your head around this principle then you will find this creative process all through out These Scriptures here in Chp 1.

Look at vs 11

Genesis 1:11Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth”; and it was so.

When God wanted trees and vegetation, He spoke to the earth to bring forth vegetation. So God wanted plants to come from dirt so He spoke to dirt so whatever He spoke was brought forth as He said. God said, “Let there be herbs and grass.” He spoke it to the dirt and the dirt brought forth herbs and grass. Therefore, whatever God speaks to, brings forth what He said.

Just like and arrow released from a bow is strategically aimed at it’s target so God does He aims His speech, His word, He speaks His word at what He wants things to be made of.

So every plant, tree, herb, grass, and vegetation is made out of dirt because that is what He spoke to. When plants die, they go back to the earth–back to dirt–because that is what they are made of. Truthfully, when you eat an apple, banana, tomato, or a pepper, you’re eating dirt. It’s all dirt because it was made out of dirt.

Hang with me cause I’m going somewhere with all of this.

Vs 14: when God wanted the Sun, He spoke to the firmament. The firmament is full of gases so when God said, “Let there be light in the heavens,” that brought forth the sun. The Sun is nothing but gasses.

Vs 20: When God wanted fish

Genesis 1:20Then God said, “Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures…”

God said to the what? Waters! Therefore, fish are made from water and dirt. That means the dirt under the water brought forth the fish, so fish are made up of watery dirt.

Vs 24: When God wanted animals, living creatures, cows and horses it says

Genesis 1:24Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to its kind”; and it was so.

Once again God spoke to the what? Earth! He said to the earth bring forth what? Living creatures. Therefore, out the earth came what? Whatever living creature God said.

So, every plant and animal you see is 100% dirt. That’s why whenever an animal dies, it deteriorates back to dirt. When you eat animals, you’re eating dirt. It’s all dirt. Because that’s what God spoke to.

So, whatever God wants, He decides what He wants it made out of then He speaks to what He wants it made out of, and whatever God says to what He speaks to comes out to exactly what He said. This is a very important principle in creation.

Now, alongside of this is another principle that is very important to understand. Whatever God brought something from, it has to remain attached to wherever it came from in order to live, function, and thrive.

This is a very important principle. So when you study creation everything that came from somewhere it has to feed on where it came from in order for it to live.

Plants came from where? The earth so they have to remain attached to the earth in order for them to live. Animals came from earth–the dirt–so they have to keep feeding on the dirt through vegetation, or one another, in order to live. Fish came from water so they have to remain attached to water in order for them to live. That’s a principle.

Genesis 1:26 – Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

Genesis 1:26Then God said, “Let Us make man

When God wanted fish, He spoke to the waters.

When He wanted star,s He spoke to the firmament.

When He wanted plants, He spoke to the earth.

When He wanted animals, He spoke to the earth/dirt.

When God wanted Man–that’s you and me–He spoke to Himself.

I want you to wrap your understanding around this: that God is a Spirit. Animals 100% dirt: plants and trees 100% dirt; Stars 100% gases; fish 100% water/dirt; Man 100% God.

That’s why you are a spirit. You don’t have a spirit–you are a spirit–because that’s what God spoke to.

You came out of God, therefore God said to Himself, “Man come forth.” Out of God came forth a beautiful spirit and He named it man.

Now spirits have no gender. Nowhere in the Bible will you ever see male spirit or a female spirit. Spirits have no gender so the word man is a plural word in scripture. All of the species called man are spirit beings. They came out of a spirit because God spoke to Himself and He is a spirit.

Whatever is in water is in fish. Whatever is in earth/dirt is in animals and plants. Whatever is in the firmament is in the stars. Whatever is in God is in man. That’s why God cares about you. That’s why He unconditionally loves you. That’s why His mercies are new every morning. That’s why He so longs to be in relationship with you.

Psalm 8:4-6 (AMP)What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of [earthborn] man that You care for him? 5 Yet You have made him a little lower than God, And You have crowned him with glory and honor. 6 You made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet,

God loves you so much because you are not only like Him, you are of Him.

That’s why plants can’t fellowship with God. They are 100% dirt. Animals can’t. 100% dirt. Fish 100% dirt. Water, stars 100% firmament. That’s why only you can fellowship and worship God – you’re 100% spirit. They who worship God must worship him in w? Spirit and in Truth.

Man is a Spirit. God said to this man who is a spirit

Genesis 1:26 “Let us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

Now, there seems to be a problem because the earth is physical and man is a spirit. God now has to do something to make it work for this spirit being to be able to actually function in a visible state. He says, “I have created you, man, to have dominion–or rulership–to govern over the earth. You are to be a leader, a manager–the actual term is “a king” over the earth, but you are a spirit and the earth is physical.

So God now has to take the man who is spirit and put him in a earth suit so the man can rule the earth. So, in chp 2:7, God says “I have to make this earth suit for the man to wear.”

Genesis 2:7 (AMP)then the Lord God formed [that is, created the body of] man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and the man became a living being [an individual complete in body and spirit].

God had to take the dirt, form a shell–a house–and blew the spirit He created into this dirt body for the man to be able to rule and have dominion. God’s desire in all of this was for man to rule the earth for Him. The man is like Him, therefore the man who is spirit can relate to God who is spirit. God is invisible. The man is invisible but the body is visible. So, God living in the unseen–who also is living in the spirit of man, which is unseen–now can be living in the seen and “on the scene.”

God’s desire is for His will to be communicated from the unseen to the man, who is unseen, who is living in the seen on the scene. So when God wants something done, all He does is communicate it from the unseen to the unseen living in the seen on the scene and then the seen does it so that the unseen can make the seen know what the unseen wants. It’s called, “Kingdom” or “King’s Dominion.”

The King of Heaven dominating earth through His own children.

So, the kingdom of God is God who is King of glory, King of Heaven, dominating the earth through His spirit children through their physical/seen/visible bodies so that the unseen can manifest in the seen.

So that the will of God in Heaven could be done on earth through the seen by the unseen living in the unseen which is in the seen on the scene.

Therefore, what’s happening in heaven can now happen on the earth without heaven having to leave and relocate.

This is the Kingdom of God. Before I say anything else, I believe 2023 is the appointed time for the church, for His children to understand The Kingdom and advance the Kingdom!

The message of the Bible–our manual–our warranty from the manufacturer, is The Kingdom.

The disciples asked Jesus what shall we pray for? He said, “Pray”– that means “desire” for God has always wanted.

“Our Father who is in Heaven (the unseen) Hallowed (holy) be Your name.”

That means you have integrity. You will get what you want. Jesus said, “Our Father who is not on earth, You are full of integrity. You’re holy. You will get what You desire…Your Kingdom, Kings-dominion come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Let what You want in the unseen be seen on the scene.

The Kingdom of God shall be within you.

Who are you? You contain the spirit the likeness of God. You contain the unseen Kingdom within your dirt body. You are a leader, a manager, a ruler, a steward, a king.

After the King of heaven’s death, burial and resurrection, He had them gather in a Upper Room and once again breathed into them another spirit–the Holy Spirit. The kingdom of God is love, joy and peace in the Holy Spirit. (Romans 14:17) When you receive the Holy Spirit, you are being reconnected to Heaven so God’s will can once again be done through a dirt suit.

In vs 26 God said… let them have dominion. (everybody say let them). God did not say, “Let us have dominion,” He said, “Let them.” Let who? Them! That means the only creatures that have legal authority on this earth are man, mankind, humans. I have shared this in the past but let me say it again.

What is a human? The word/term human is a combination of two words: Humus and Man.

The word Humas means “dirt” and the word Man means “spirit being.” When you put the two words together, you get human.  A spirit inside a dirt body. According to God, the only creatures with legal authority on earth to function here legally is humans.

That means a spirit in a body. If you don’t have a spirit, you can’t function here legally and you have to leave. That’s why when you die, you leave because you are no longer legal.

That is why satan is illegal. That is why demons are running to and fro trying to find a body. They want to borrow your body because they need to be legal to do their wickedness here. Demon possession is an attempt for spirits who are illegal to become legal. Demons cannot function without a body here on earth.

That’s why satan came in the form of a serpent when he came to tempt Eve in the garden. That’s why the legions asked Jesus to cast them into pigs when He drove them out of the demoniac of Gadara. That’s why you can walk up and down the street and they never bother you, but when they get into a person, they become destructive cause now they have a body to legally work through. That’s why you have to be cautious with your body. Your body is important to this earth.

When God said, “Let them have dominion,” He was also taking Himself out of the picture because God is Spirit and He doesn’t have a body. When God said, “Let them,” He became illegal. God is faithful to His word and He won’t violate His own Word. His word is above His own name. God Himself cannot come on planet earth without a body.

Have you ever thought why God did not stop Adam and Eve from eating the fruit? They were sinning. God could not stop them–not because He was weak, not because He wasn’t powerful enough, not because He was not mighty, not because He is not sovereign–but because He is faithful to His own word. He couldn’t come in as a spirit and stop them because He would have broken His word and that would have made Him unfaithful and a liar. That would have made God untrustworthy.

If God would have stepped in and broken His word, we could never trust that He would keep His promises. But because He kept and upheld His word, we can trust that He will keep all of His promises He has made to us.

The bottom line in all of this is our Origin: that we are made from His spirit from Himself. We can see our identity determines our value and our worth. We are children of a sovereign King–a majestic deity. We are not a mistake in His grand scheme. He created us so we could rule, reign, lead, steward, manage–so we would function in dominating creation – that we have a purpose.

Say with me I have a purpose!

Proverbs 19:21 (NIV)Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails

God prevailed by creating you to dominate. To become royalty. To discover the truth about who you really are. To bring the invisible Kingdom of heaven and make it visible on your earth. When you unpack the great truth that you have a purpose, you can now unlock the door to another Kingdom principle: Potential.

If you are still breathing the air of the Father on this side of heaven, you still have unlocked potential.

Did you hear what I said? You have Potential. Say that with me: I have potential. That makes you loaded! Tell your neighbor…YOU ARE LOADED!

Proverbs 25:2 (NKJV)It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.

If you can understand this and discover your identity, purpose, potential that makes you a bad motor scooter.

Let me end with this thought.

Matthew 16:18 (AMP)And I say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades (death) will not overpower it

Matthew 16:18 (NKJV)And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.

Cure for a Powerless Life

TODAY’S PROPHETIC NUMBER

Ezekiel 12:28 – Therefore say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “None of My words will be postponed any more, but the word which I speak will be done,” says the Lord God.'”

We are so close to the return of Jesus! As birth pangs increase, the heat is turned up. You can be sure every word of God will come to pass. His will is being done. This is the day to lock and load your spiritual weapons of warfare.

Declaration: I’m a warrior. I will stand firm and will not bail. I love good and hate evil.

CURE FOR A POWERLESS LIFE

When all hell is breaking loose in my life and I’m feeling like I’m losing it, I turn to my secret weapon. I break out the book of Ephesians.

Ephesians is the encouragement book. It’s got great themes like spiritual warfare. It’s got the whole armor of God. When Paul wrote this book to the church at Ephesus, he was encouraging them not to live a powerless life.

There have been plenty of times in my life where I felt powerless. I didn’t have the answers. I didn’t have a way to fix things and Jesus has shown me something incredible in that place: Just because you feel it doesn’t mean you are it.

One of the great lies of this generation is “if I feel it, then I am it.” That’s 10 pounds of baloney. Man, you’re going to feel all kinds of things that you need to stand up against. You need to tell your flesh, “Oh no, no, no. That’s not what we do.”

The Bible says, “Whosoever will,” not “Whosoever feels.” Your feelings are liars. They are poor substitutes for the truth. Amen. I feel crazy stuff especially when I deal with the darkness surrounding sexual slavery. I feel like being the machine gun preacher sometimes.

Just because I feel it, does not make it true. God’s not called me to be the machine gun preacher. He’s called me to rescue girls and boys from the darkness of slavery and to put the jokers who prey on them in prison for a very long time. I’m called to tell them about Jesus and win them as trophies of grace no matter how bad my flesh wants them to rot in the pit of hell.

That is the power of God. Doing what God tells you and seeing people the way He does despite your feelings. He will call you to love the unlovely and help those who hurt others. Why? Because He cannot stand them living a powerless life either!

Feeling powerless? You’re not! Now, turn to the book of Ephesians…

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. – Matthew 16:25

A Glimpse of the Glory

TODAY’S PROPHETIC NUMBER

John 12:27 – “Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save Me from this hour’? But for this purpose I came to this hour.’”

When the hell of this world comes into your lane and demands you and your family live with it, push back.  Say, “No in the name of Jesus! I will not back down or shut down because I know the truth. This is my hour to shine for King Jesus!” This is your time.

Declaration: I’m a bad motor scooter. I’m displacing the giants of this world with the goodness of God. I will not fear the giants because I fear the Lord.

A GLIMPSE OF THE GLORY

I’m going out on a limb today because I’m just blown away with the majesty of God. The book of Ephesians says best what I want you to understand.

“I pray that you would know what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe…” – Ephesians 1:19

“I pray that you would know…” Know what? That you know through experience what you don’t know through wise words.

There’s something else the Bible talks about that is absolutely indescribable and it’s the majesty of God. Any time you look at the majesty of God, it’s how He rules and reigns, and He rules and reigns way different than anybody else.

He rules and reigns, not by being the toughest because it’s obvious He already is the toughest – not through being the most powerful because He already is the most powerful. He rules and reigns through peace.

Crazy! Absolutely crazy! While the Bible says our enemy, the devil, is the prince of the power of the air – he likes to stir up hell in the atmosphere – Jesus is just the opposite. He’s the Prince of Peace. Where He has dominion, there’s no drama!

Is there drama in your life? Are there places where it’s more like hell than heaven? You need to let Jesus rule and reign in that place. Tell Him, “King Jesus, I believe. I pray that I would know the exceeding greatness of your power.” He’ll show up, I promise you, He will give you a glimpse of the glory.

Jesus is the Real Deal

TODAY’S PROPHETIC NUMBER

1 Corinthians 12:26 – And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.

Do not guard your heart. Let yourself get wrecked with the pain of others. Lack of empathy is the essence of all evil. Let goodness lead you into the messy places and walk with those you find there. When the Lord brings them out, their victory becomes your victory.

Declaration: I’m the goodness of Jesus through selfless acts of service and demonstration of heaven’s values. I will go behind enemy lines and rescue POWs I find there today.

JESUS IS THE REAL DEAL

Just in case it slipped by you, the Old Testament is the part of the Bible written before Jesus was born. Actually, its writings were completed 450 years before Jesus was born. Some of the books were written well over a thousand years before Jesus was born.

“Why are you telling me that, Pastor Troy?” Because, Jesus fulfilled so many Old Testament prophecies.

Hundreds of years after they were penned, Jesus walked them out. He talked them out. He brought those words to life and let everyone know God’s Word is true. It can be trusted and it’s real.

Did you know there’s a big argument over how many Old Testament prophecies Jesus actually fulfilled? That’s because many of the prophecies are actually cryptic – that means they are mysterious, obscure, or hidden.

The good news is, there are at least 300 prophecies that are just outright, in-your-face words pointing to Jesus as the Messiah.

So, let me ask you this: What are the chances of one person fulfilling eight prophecies? The answer is one in 100,000,000,000,0000,000. I don’t even know if there is a word for that many zeroes!

With that in mind, what are the chances of one person fulfilling 48 prophecies? That would be one in 10 to the 157th power. And if that’s not enough, what are the chances of one person fulfilling 300 prophecies? I’ll tell you what that is. It’s indescribable, and guys, that’s what Jesus did.

“Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.”  – Matthew 5:17

Could a mere man purposefully do this throughout his lifetime? No, because mortal man has no control over his circumstances. Remember, many of those prophesies were about Jesus’ birth and childhood – things He would have no control over.

So, here’s what’s real: Jesus is the real deal. He just is. Case closed.
