Crazy One, Rebels & Misfits

TODAY’S PROPHETIC NUMBER

Ruth 1:16 – But Ruth said: “Entreat me not to leave you, or to turn back from following after you; For wherever you go, I will go; And wherever you lodge, I will lodge; Your people shall be my people, and your God, my God.

You may have been an outcast in your family, but you belong in the family of God. Like Jesus, the Church is a friend that sticks closer than a brother. Follow Jesus and let His people be your people.

Declaration: I know my shepherd’s voice. I follow only Him and am happy to be a sheep in the flock of the Good Shepherd. Goodness and mercy will follow me as I follow Him!

CRAZY ONES, REBELS AND MISFITS

I love the troublemakers, the square pegs religion tries to force into round holes. I love them because they see things differently. They are not fond of rules and have no respect of the status quo. These rebels are crazy enough to think they can change the world, and they do!

Larry Norman was one of the crazy ones. Born in Texas, his family moved to the Haight-Ashbury District of San Francisco. Yes, he was destined to be a hippy! As a teenager, he joined a band called “People,” an outwardly Christian band under contract to Capitol Records.

Larry and People would open for secular giants of the era including The Doors, The Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin and The Byrds. This is where Larry made a huge difference in the world. It’s also where the controversy was.

You see, he was under constant criticism from non-Christians wanting him to drop his faith in Jesus, and terrible protest by the conservative church wanting him to drop his music, cut his hair and become respectable. So what did Larry do? Kept churning out songs and strumming his guitar.

Larry took Christianity into non-Christian cultures around the world. He was a missionary in the truest sense of the word. He was just so far outside the box of traditional church, most church leaders didn’t know what to think about him.

Enter the Brewer! In 1989, his album “Stranded in Babylon” was hailed as one of the best albums of the decade by European critics. Though barely noticed in the USA, it caught my attention. I was thrilled when my band was chosen to open for him when Larry’s tour came to Dallas.

While we were not close friends, I did stay up all night jamming with him. We shared the same stage and sat in the same booth at IHOP – some of my favorite memories.

Larry is regarded as the “father of Christian rock” and was inducted into the Gospel Music Association’s Hall of Fame. Billboard Magazine called him “the most important songwriter  since Paul Simon.” Before he died, Larry wrote a letter in which he said something deeply prophetic: “I feel like a prize in a box of Cracker Jacks with God’s hand reaching down to pick me up.”

Yes, Larry, you were God’s surprise to a world deeply in need of a rebel to bring music and ministry out of the religious realm of the Frozen Chosen. You were truly a prize the Father could use to glorify the Kingdom.

So hats off to the rebels who use their gifts to serve God and save sinners. I don’t know if you realize this, but the rebels, misfits and strays are my tribe – and if you’re reading this, it means you! Like Larry, dare to be different to make a difference!

But when God, who had set me apart even from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace, was pleased to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles… – Galatians 1:15-16

It’s Your Destiny Too!

TODAY’S PROPHETIC NUMBER – 1/15/2023

Mark 1:15 – and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.”

The time is short. Go behind enemy lines to drag the Prisoners of War to the freedom of Jesus Christ. They will listen when you tell them to repent and believe in Jesus.

Declaration: I am in alignment for my assignment to bring the lost and broken into the Kingdom. I am a Holy Ghost sniper and will defeat the enemy today.

It’s Your Destiny Too!

If there is anyone in the Bible who could have twisted off and not fulfilled God’s big plan for his life, it’s Paul.

Paul was the elite of the Jewish people. Good family, top notch religious education – his pedigree was beyond compare. He left it all to follow the Jewish carpenter whose death he helped call for. He gave it all up to become one of the men he tried so hard to stamp out.

Paul traded earthly comfort and notoriety for Roman beatings, imprisonment, shipwrecks, exiles, hunger, thirst and even stoning – yes, the brother was stoned by an angry mob and lived to tell about it!

Did Paul hate his captors? Did he revile the Roman soldiers who whipped him or pray against those hurling rocks and calling for his death? There is no record that Paul did anything but love and try to bring the Gospel of Jesus to those who spitefully persecuted him. Why? Because that was his destiny. Guess what? That’s your destiny too!

Your purpose on this earth is not to make a lot of money, have a nice house, go on vacations with your kids and show up at church on Sundays. Your purpose is to bring people with you into the Kingdom of Heaven.

At the end of your life, do you want a big finish, or do you want to go out in a whimper of regret? Paul went out with a bang and he didn’t go alone!

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day – and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.” – 2 Timothy 4:7-8

Paul wasn’t only concerned about his big finish, he was also concerned about yours. You see, it wasn’t all about him and he knew it. For Paul, just as it was for Jesus, it was about you and me.

Can you say that about your walk with Jesus? Is it just about you, or is it about making an impact for the Kingdom by sharing the Gospel?

For me, it’s about impact. I’m determined not to show up in Heaven alone. I’m determined to snatch as many people as I can out of Satan’s grip on my way to glory. Join me!

23: Dealing with the 23 in Me

Pastor Troy Brewer, OpenDoor Church, Burleson, TX

Sunday, Jan. 15, 2023

As previously discussed, numbers, measures and weights are parts of the language of heaven and many times are specific sermons or prophetic indicators of spiritual themes.

Literally everything God designs is embedded with a brilliant mathematical code – music, flowers, space – bible numeric appears to be God’s watermark of authenticity. It prevents counterfeiting.

So, if God speaks through numbers in nature, of course he speaks through numbers in his word. One of the greatest books ever written on the subject is “number in scripture” by E.W. Bullinger. In his introduction, Bullinger writes:

“There can neither be works nor words without number. We can understand how man can act and speak without design or significance, but we cannot imagine that the great and infinite creator and redeemer could either work or speak without both his words and his works being absolutely perfect in every particular.”

The theme of 23 throughout scripture, history and science and the heavens is plainly stated: the subject of DEATH.

Do you know the date Patrick Henry said, “Give me liberty or give me death?”  March 23, 1775.

Our 23rd President, Benjamin Harrison, suffered the death of his wife during his presidency.

Hitler rose to power and became a dictator March 23, 1933.

The Hiroshima bomb was dropped at 8:15 a.m. (8+15= 23).

Charles Darwin’s Origin of Species was published in 1859 (1+8+5+9 = 23).

Julius Caesar was stabbed 23 times.

The Knights Templar had 23 Grand Masters.

Bill Wiese, evangelist and author of  “23 Minutes in Hell,” says his visit to hell lasted exactly 23 minutes.

In ancient Israel, every city had a local Sanhedrin counsel consisting of 23 judges.

In Islam, Muslims believe the Qur’an was revealed in a total of 23 years to Mohammed.

In the Bible, we have Psalms 23

Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of Death, I will fear no evil for you are with me…

Words      Killeth 23 times

                 Leaven 23 times

                 Hell 23 times

Luke 16:23 – And in hell he lift up his eyes.

Jude 23 – And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire.

Proverbs 11:23 – The expectation of the wicked is wrath.

Matthew 11:23 – He shalt be brought down to hell.

“FEAR HIM” AND “FEAR THE LORD” are in the Bible 23 times

“Part of man’s curse is toil and labour,” occurring 23 times in the book of Genesis.

Jezebel is mentioned 23 times – represents evil.

2 Kings 23:31, Jehoahaz was twenty and three years old when he began to reign…and did evil.

John 8:23 – Ye are from beneath.

Matthew 17:23 – And they shall kill him.

  Death is 138 times (6 x 23)

ROMANS 6:23

THE WAGES OF SIN ARE DEATH BUT THE GIFT OF GOD IS ETERNAL LIFE THROUGH OUR LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST

The certainty of Death

The enemy of Death

The penalty of Death

The only ONE who can conquer death is the Lord Jesus Christ.

DEATH CANNOT BE AVOIDED.

DEATH MUST BE CONQUERED AND OVERCOME.

Revelation 1:18

I am He that lives, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

The Bible’s description of how Jesus conquered sin, death and hell is described the way a king with His mighty army conquers another king and his army. Jesus conquered death and hell with an army of ONE.

Now Jesus has given us license to carry out His heart and his command to overcome death and Hell in every way and every place it claims to have dominion.

DEATH IS AN ENEMY!

1 Corinthians 15:26

The last enemy that will be destroyed is death.

Playing with death is a lot like handling rattlesnakes. You should deal with death the way you deal with rattlesnakes.

When it comes to strike you, you stand in the resurrection power of King Jesus and cut its head off.

When James Dean introduced himself to actor Alec Guinness (think Obi Wan Kenobi from the first Star Wars movie) outside a restaurant in Los Angeles in 1955, he asked Guinness to take a look at the souped-up Porsche 550 Spyder he had named “Little Bastard.”

Guinness thought the car appeared “sinister” somehow and told Dean, “If you get in that car you will be found dead in it by this time next week.” The date was Sept. 23, 1955

Seven days later, James Dean died in a head-on collision with a 23-year-old Cal Poly student named Donald Turnupseed. Turnupseed crossed into Dean’s lane without seeing him. James Dean fans know the amazing actor with the tragic ending only starred in three movies before he died.

What most people don’t realize is that all three titles speak of rebellion and God’s enemies.

East of Eden

Genesis 3:24

So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

Genesis 4:16

And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.

Rebel without a Cause

Ezra 4:15

….and know that this city is a rebellious city, and hurtful unto kings and provinces, and that they have moved sedition within the same of old time: for which cause was this city destroyed.

Giant

It is interesting to me that in 1 Samuel 17, when the giant Goliath defied the armies of Israel, David’s response to the giant’s blasphemy was:

1 Samuel 17:29

… Is there not a cause?

Unlike David 3,000 years before him, this self-proclaimed “illegitimate” rebel was without a cause. That’s not a good testimony. I don’t know if it’s a word about him or a word about that generation, but God was speaking if you had an ear to hear in the mid-1950s.

James dean was pronounced dead at 6:20 pm some papers say 6:21. I don’t know why there are two death certificates one saying he died at 6:20 and the other at 6:21 but let me read to you what Romans 6:20 and 6:21 say

Romans 6:20-21

For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness. 21 What fruit did you have then in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.

Clyde Barrow and Bonnie Parker

My dad is a big Texas History fan and it has spilled over to me. He has always been fascinated with the famous gangsters of the 1930s, Bonnie and Clyde, partly because they share a date on the calendar.

For my dad’s 60th birthday, I took him out to Gibsland, Louisiana for the historical 70th anniversary of their assassination by famed Texas Ranger, Frank Hammer. We got to hang out with actual family members, attend the historical meeting of published authors and hear first-hand accounts from surviving eyewitnesses.

At the end of the day they had a dramatic recreation of the ambush at the actual site using the car from the movie “Bonnie and Clyde.”

If you have never heard several fully automatic B.A.R.s go off at one time, I tell you, it’s really something to experience. More like an explosion than gunfire. That’s what one of the shooters said, too:

“You couldn’t hear any one shot. It was just a roar, a continuous roar, and it kept up for several minutes. We emptied our guns, reloaded, and kept shooting. No chances with Clyde and Bonnie.”

On April 13, 1933, newspapers all across the country published Bonnie’s prophetic poem. All America learned to quote it. Lengthy, it ended like this:

They don’t think they’re tough or desperate

They know the law always wins

They’ve been shot at before, but they do not ignore

That death is the wages of sin.

Some day they’ll go down together

And they’ll bury them side by side

To few it’ll be grief, to the law a relief

But it’s death for Bonnie and Clyde.

On May 23, 1934, Bonnie and Clyde were shot to pieces in an ambush. According to newspapers, 23 people were arrested that day for harboring the fugitives. Bonnie was 23-years-old.

The bullet-riddled car of Bonnie and Clyde:

IT’S KNOWN AS THE DEATH CAR.

1934 Ford V8 it was stolen from the Warren family right out of their driveway in Topeka Kansas and when it was was returned to them IT HAS 167 BULLET HOLES IN IT.

Bonnie had 53 bullets in her and Clyde had 51

Death has to be dealt with the way Frank Hammer dealt with Bonnie and Clyde.

Romans chapter 1 lists the things within every human being that must not be tolerated because they all lead to death.

There’s 23 of them.

Romans 1:28-32

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

31 Without understanding,  covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them

Implacable: used to describe (someone who has) strong opinions or feelings that are impossible to change: an implacable enemy; implacable hostility.

They will never repent. They will never change. There is no place in them for you to meet with them without hostility

Kyle Reese from the terminator. It can’t be reasoned with. It doesn’t feel pity, remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead!”

Lord I’m unteachable.

Lord you can mold me and shape me.

Jesus you can change and transform me.

Faithful, Available and Teachable (F.A.T. in 2023)

Implacable also falls into the category of never ever being satisfied or finished. Proverbs says there are four things that are never satisfied:

Proverbs 30:16

The grave; and the barren womb; the earth that is not filled with water; and the fire that saith not, It is enough.”

How do I deal with the 23 in me?

Be filled with the Holy Spirit!

Ephesians 5:18

1. Jesus gives The Holy Spirit as your Helper.

John 16:7

Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you,”

When you are feeling powerless or tired or like your failing at life, you can have confidence as a believer that you’re not alone. You can start each day knowing the Holy Spirit is there to help you. He is the power that sustains, energizes, and keeps you on a holy path. Do not hesitate to invite Him in.

2. The Holy Spirit sanctifies you.

1 Corinthians 6:11

But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God,”

“Sanctified” means to be set apart as sacred. Essentially, it’s the purification of sin and spiritually maturing to become more Christlike. This is an important process for a believer–leaving behind the old and becoming a new person. But it’s a daily process, and it takes time.

The Holy Spirit wants to help you in this process of sanctification: to die to your old self and be all that God created you to be; to be free from the entanglement of sin and live victoriously.

3. He makes you more like Christ.

2 Corinthians 3:18

And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit,”

Moses experienced God’s glory on the mountaintop but we have communion with Him every day! Theologian Warren Wiersbe writes,

“Moses reflected the glory of God, but you and I may radiate the glory of God. When we meditate on God’s Word and in it see God’s Son, then the Spirit transforms us! We become more like the Lord Jesus Christ as we grow ‘from glory to glory.”

Our goal is Christlikeness and this takes place through the power of the Holy Spirit. While we focused on sanctification and the diminishment of sin in the previous point, this is rather a transformation into the image of Christ.

4. The Holy Spirit gives hope.

Romans 15:13

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope,”

Hope as God hopes. This is only possible in abundance through the power of the Holy Spirit. And it’s hope that carries people through all trials and tribulations. Hope is fuel for the soul. Tap into this by His power and experience peace among your surroundings.

5. He imparts love.

Romans 5:5

…because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

We find love in our suffering. As we endure trials, God’s love is poured out into us through the Spirit and it’s this empowerment that carries you and I through the hard seasons. When you are doubting this love in your difficulty, remember that the Spirit pours it into your heart.

Colossians 1:27

Christ in you is the Hope of Glory

Jesus Christ living in you through the power of the Holy Spirit is your answer to the 23 in me.

2023 Declaration

I declare in Jesus’ name that I am alive in Christ and dead to the world in 2023. The life of Christ will be on me. His resurrection power will flow through me, and goodness and mercy will follow me. The gates of hell will not prevail over my family or me, and I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. In Jesus’ name!

Master Mind

TODAY’S PROPHETIC NUMBER – 1/14/2023

John 1:14 – And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

Before He put on skin and became the son, Jesus’ name in heaven was “The Word.” He spoke the universe into existence, then redeemed His creation as only He could. Know this truth and let it set you free from futile thinking.

Declaration: I am redeemed by the blood of the Lamb and the word of my testimony. I have seen the glory of the Lord in my life and will walk worthy of Him today.

MASTER MIND

Let me give you some spiritual beef jerky when it comes to your thinking. Having a Godly worldview and controlling your thought patterns are key to getting your upgrade and becoming a mature Christian. This is great stuff to chew on, so read on!

1) Until you let God change the thinking in your mind, He can never completely change your life.

2) God knows your thoughts just as He knows your actions.

“This says the Lord…For I know the things that come into your mind, every one of them.” – Ezekiel 11:5

3) God judges your mental actions just as He judges your physical actions.

4) God gives you the right and ability to stop a thought before it progresses into something else, like an action. Thoughts progress into feelings and then into behavior. Ouch!

5) The Bible says thoughts on the Word of God will progress into success. Thoughts separate from God will progress into certain judgment. Again, ouch!

6) One of the ways you and I forsake God is mentally.

“As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever.” – 1 Chronicles 28:9

7) God asks His people to return to Him, especially in their thoughts.

Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts;

Let him return to the Lord, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God,

For He will abundantly pardon. “For My thoughts are not your thoughts,

Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. – Isaiah 55:7-8

8) It is possible to be aware of something without letting your mind go into carnal imaginations.

If you grasp this simple list and practice mastering your thoughts, you can change your life for the better and serve God in a way that brings glory, and souls, to the Kingdom!

Episode 146 – The Prophetic Life Episode 292

Hello, my friend. In today’s episode, we go back to The Prophetic Life from this past Tuesday, and I talk a bit about my word for the year to come. I also talk about the signs in the heavens that are revealing themselves this year.

The Price of Victory

TODAY’S PROPHETIC NUMBER – 1/13/2023

1 Peter 1:13 – Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ…

Did you know your mind is a reproductive organ? What it thinks on, it reproduces. Thoughts of anger, bitterness and curses become words and actions. Gird up the loins of your mind. Repent and live!

Declaration: I have the mind of Christ. I will think on what is true, honest, just pure, lovely and good so the God of peace will be with me.

The Price of Victory

Spiritual envy has become a cancer in the American church. When we replace the command to “love God and love people” with “love God, be righteous” we get ourselves into a whole mess of trouble.

Do not lose your mind trying to compare yourself and your Christian walk to others! You will never be satisfied and your envy will rip you, them and the church apart! Righteousness is a cruel and destructive measuring stick the devil tricks us into using.

The next time you start comparing your victories, gifts, blessings, talents, relationship and ministries against someone else, stop! Ask yourself this question: “I know their glory, but do I know their story?”

Nobody gets great victory, faith or great blessings without going through their share of hell. Understand this: If you want what they have, you have to pass through the same fires they did!

I once heard a world-famous preacher tell of a young man who followed him around. The young man watched everything he did and listened to every word he said. Finally, the preacher asked him why. The answer astounded him. “I want your anointing,” the young man said. So the pastor put his hand on the boy’s shoulder and began to pray.

“Lord, I pray this young man would be beat up and ostracized as a child, and would have to go to bed with a butcher knife for fear of this father. I pray that he would live in terrible poverty. I pray his family would think he was crazy and all his good friends would leave him because of the ministry. Lord, let him be constantly criticized and scrutinized by his congregation, and even his own wife, for what he does and how he does it. May he have church splits and backstabbing among his leadership team…”

Although the preacher had more to say, the young man stopped him and asked, “Why would you pray such terrible things on me?”

The pastor answered, “Because you cannot have the anointing I have without going through the things I’ve been through.”

“For they shall be ashamed of the oaks they have desired, and confounded by the gardens they have chosen” – Romans 12:15

Don’t wish for someone else’s anointing. It will bring you shame and confusion because, get this – it’s not yours! You have your own anointing if you just seek it out.

The Currency of Heaven

TODAY’S PROPHETIC NUMBER 1/12/2023

Genesis 1:12 – And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

The third day is doubly good because God pronounced it so. It is a prophetic foreshadow of Jesus rising on the third day. While the third day of the week of Tuesday, consider today your double blessing – a day of resurrection power for relationships, dreams and faith.

Declaration: The double portion blessing is mine. God will look at my life today and see the fruit of the Spirit. He will say, “It is good – really good!”

The Currency of Heaven

It’s the start of the New Year and I always go after the Lord in a big way in January. I want a word from the Lord and His direction for the year to come. With that said, I’ve done some radical things to hear His voice this time of year, but this one was next level:

It was prophetic that the place I was camping was called Big Bend National Park. It’s the place where I first got a revelation of God’s still, small voice and what John the Baptist meant when he said, “He must increase, but I must decrease.” Anything I had known of this spiritual truth flew out my tent as God downloaded a brand new revelation into my life.

It was the first time I had fasted for 30 days and I wanted to spend the last part in a tent in the middle of nowhere. I had never sought the Lord in such a radical way, and consequently, He showed up in a more radical way than He ever had before.

While reading the Word by my flashlight, the Lord began to whisper something in my spirit that would change my life forever: “The smaller you get, Troy, the more I will use you.” It was the first time I realized humility and service are like currency in heaven.

Jesus confirmed this word by showing me the nine small things He used to do great things in the book of Judges. Remember, nine represents judgment.

1) In chapter 3, God uses the weak, left hand of a man from the smallest tribe of Israel to kill the most powerful king who had ever ruled over Israel. He did it all under the guise of a simple present.

2) In Judges 3:31, God uses a simple ox goad in the hand of a guy named Shamgar to slay 600 Philistines. Now, that’s a killer cattle prod!

3) In chapter 4, He uses a little lady by the name of Deborah to encourage and lead the people into war against a cavalry of 900 chariots.

4) In verses 15-17, they win big, but the Philistine captain escapes. He runs into the tent of a woman named Jael. One bad mama, Jael gives this exhausted man a whole bottle of fresh milk, which spikes his blood sugar and causes him to fall asleep so she can drive a tent spike right through his head.

5) In Chapter 6, we have the account of another little person with a big destiny – Gideon. Trembling and afraid, Gideon leads an army of 300 against thousands where God shows up big and smites the enemy.

6 and 7) In Judges 9:22-49, wicked Abimelech rules certain cities with an iron fist. He kills his own people, burns down towers and lays waste to strongholds. While he is trying to bring down another tower, a tiny woman leans over the edge and drops a small piece of millstone on his head. He turns to his fellow rapists and pillagers begging, “Please kill me before I die, so that it won’t be said that I died at the hand of a woman!”

8) In chapter 11, God used Jephthah, the son of a harlot who had been rejected by the king and thrown out of the palace, to deliver and defeat God’s enemies in 20 cities. He rescued Israel and took back the Promised Land despite being a man of no real promise himself.

9) In Chapter 15, God uses the jawbone of a donkey in the hand of Samson to slay 1,000 enemies.

Why would God use these small items and insignificant people to deliver Israel? Because God was looking for optimum Glory!

This is what He is looking for in all of us and He is not asking too much. We must be willing to get small to be used by God in a great way. He does’t want to share the credit or the glory with anyone because He shouldn’t have to. You may be small, but you are a rescuer. Are you willing to get still and be humble to hear God’s will for 2023?

But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; 28 and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, 29 that no flesh should glory in His presence. – 1 Corinthians 1:27-29

Thinking Kingdom

TODAY’S PROPHETIC NUMBER – 1/11/2023

Ephesians 1:11 – In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will…

God knows the end from the beginning. He knows who chooses to follow him. These He gives a great bit purpose and destiny. Do not fear! He is working all things for your good because you love Him!

Declaration: Because I choose to love Jesus, I am chosen. God has promised a thousand generations to those who love Him. My children and grandchildren have a place in God’s family.

Thinking Kingdom

Whether you know it or not, there is a battle going on for your mind. Whatever controls your mind, controls your words and your actions. Disney? Porn? Netflix? Gossip? Anger and bitterness? Financial fear? I’m sure some of these will hit home for you as they do for me.

While the devil would love to control your thoughts, and tries to take your attention off the things of God, the Holy Spirit puts up a fight by reminding you who you are to God and how you fit into His kingdom.

You see, a kingdom mentality is one that says, “You are a valuable and privileged part of something much bigger than yourself.”

And He said, “To you it has been given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God…” – Luke 8:10

A kingdom mentality is one that says, “You are a part of something special that will never end.”

…and of His kingdom there shall be no end. – Luke 1:33

A kingdom mentality is also one that says, “You are in and you can never go back to what God has brought you out of.”

…And Jesus said unto him, “No man, having put his hands to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” – Luke 9:62

Do you have a kingdom mentality? Do you see yourself as a child of God, part of the family and a joint-heir with Jesus bringing heaven to earth? If not, get your head out of the lap of “Media Delilah” and listen to the word of the Lord.

Get rid of your worldly, me-centered mentality and see what God’s plan for your life is. His way is always the best way!

Indescribably Jesus

TODAY’S PROPHETIC NUMBER – 1/10/2023

Job 1:10 – Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.

The devil roams around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. He wants to sift those God brags on – those who have proven themselves faithful. Stand firm in the shaking and you will be increased in every way as a reward.

Declaration: My house is built upon the rock of Jesus’ name. I will stand against all storms and demonic attack. The Shield of Faith protects me from Satan’s fiery darts.

INDESCRIBABLY JESUS

Do you want to discover a part of God’s heart that no one else has before? I do. I want to see God in new and different ways because He likes to show up like that – in new and different ways. He is ultimately personal with us. He knows just how to get my attention, and yours.

This is the reason Paul calls the gift of God – Jesus – indescribable.

Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift! – 2 Corinthians 9:12

The gift of Jesus is not indescribable because there are no words. He is indescribable because there are not enough words to describe the endless ways He is moving and speaking.

The voice of the Lord is on the waters, the voice of the Lord is on the many waters. – Psalms 29:3

He speaks to us in endless ways. Nature, friends, circumstances, His Word, the headlines, numbers, the stars… I could go on and on. So, what does He speak to you?

Do you think the Lord is calling you to something better – an upgrade? School, adopting a baby, starting a business, getting into a ministry or believing Him for a miracle?

Don’t discount it because you’re not familiar with this territory. The only things you need to be familiar with are His voice and His heart. They are the premier catalyst for finding road signs and highways that spring up in uninhabited places.

That highway is meant to lead you through the Lord’s plan for your life.

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up. Do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. – Isaiah 43:19

Dogged Determination

TODAY’S PROPHETIC NUMBER – 1/9/2023

Jude 1:9 – Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, “The Lord rebuke you!”

According to Ephesians 6:12, your true battle is with powers and principalities; rulers of darkness and spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places. You have been given authority over these demonic entities. Battle with the Sword of the Spirit – the Word of God and they will fall every time.

Declaration: I do not wrestle against flesh and blood. I am a joint heir with Jesus. I have authority over the demonic and will use it to set people free.

DOGGED DETERMINATION

The Apostle Paul knew his finish was good before he died. He even wrote that he “fought the good fight, finished the course and kept the faith.” This attitude is especially important this year during the prophetic “year of death” and the number 23.

Not everyone can say they know how they are going to finish. Do you know why?

It’s because not everyone is intentional about finding their destiny in Christ. Churches are full of good people who have no idea how to map out a strategy to fulfill their life’s purpose. Heck, most of us don’t know what our purpose is!

Let me tell you this: Your purpose is not your job or your paycheck. Your purpose is not your family or your comfortable home. Your purpose is not to teach Sunday School or show up in church every Sunday with a smile. Those things are the tools you use to reach your purpose.

So what’s your purpose? To snatch, drag, tackle or lead lost people out of darkness and into light! People are dying out there, and many of us are more concerned about our tools. We need to get our eyes on the prize and be intentional.

Thirteen years before his big finish, Paul put it this way:

I am serious about finish well in my Christian ministry. I discipline myself for fear that after challenging others uno the Christian life, I myself might become a casualty.” – 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 PTV (Pastor Troy Version)

Paul was like, “Look. I’m not going to be a world changer then collapse at the end of this thing.”

Paul actually disciplined himself toward his big finish. He predestined it through his dogged determination to follow Jesus no matter what!

Paul wasn’t just living life to get to heaven. He was fighting to bring heaven to earth for generations of people, Jew and Gentile. That’s you and me! The least we can do, heck the best that we can do, is follow his example!

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize. – 1 Corinthians 9:24-27

Put some things to death this year. Comfort, complacency, selfishness, and lack of vision are just a few. When you do, it will bring life to many!
