The Whispering Skull is here!
Today’s a big day! The Whispering Skull - Lockwood & Co’s second spine-tingling adventure - is out now in the USA! Events get a little out of control for Lucy and her friends as they dig up something nasty in a cemetery… Meanwhile, the sinister skull in the jar is stirring…
I had a lot of fun writing this. Part of the pleasure of doing a series is that you can slowly, steadily uncover the world that surrounds your heroes. In The Screaming Staircase I kept the focus quite tightly on Lockwood, Lucy and George. With this second book I’ve been able to widen the perspective: we visit strange locations across London, see the highest and lowest members of society, and meet a host of new characters. And of course there are several gruesome new ghosts as well…
With publication in the UK and Germany not far off, I can’t wait to find out what you think of Lockwood book 2, and to celebrate I’m launching a little giveaway on twitter and Facebook today.
