Bundles and other beasts
DeAnna Knippling of Wonderland Press interviewed me about Bundle Up!
In addition to being my interviewer, DeAnna edited Bundle Up, so she knew exactly what to ask about.

Dawn of the Monsters!!!
The first issue of Amazing Monster Tales is out!!!
Amazing Monster Tales is a series I’m putting together with my friend DeAnna Knippling. I went back and looked for our initial email exchange, which was in April 2017—so we’ve been working on this for quite a while.

Happy December!
National Novel Writing Month has come to an end, and so has the NaNoWriMo Writing Tools bundle…which means my book Bundle Up: Creating and Promoting Story and Book Collections is now available for sale on its own!
It hadn’t been published before the bundle, since of course I was writing it until the day before the deadline to get it submitted.

A new anthology! And a few monsters on the way…
I’ve published a new anthology! Doorway into Faerie is the third volume in the anthology series A Procession of Faeries. The theme is faery paths, portals and passageways. This collection contains my new short story “And Then There Are Cats,” which includes a naughty cat, and was very fun to write.
Volume #4, Water Faeries, will be out in a few months. I’ve received all of the stories, and will get back to editing them in another few weeks, once I wrap up my current projects. I haven’t put o...

Donating books for dog safety
I’m very, very happy to report that I’ve finished editing stories for two new anthologies! Hooray!
There are a few more steps before each one will get out the door, and everything is temporarily on hold while I wrap up a short story that’s due this week. But still!!!
I’ve been a bit slow on the writing front, partly because I seem to have allergies or something. I think maybe to dust, since I’m pretty sure I feel like this at the same time every year, and now that it’s colder we’re keeping th...

Bustling, not bustles
I’ve been doing a lot of editing and organizing, but finally got to a point where I was able to start a new short story! This was extremely convenient, since this story is due in a little over a week.

Rosie is allergic to me!
My short story “The Truth About Goblins” is in a the Halloween Night bundle!
This story was originally published last year in the On Hallow’s Eve bundle, and I’m super excited to have it included in a second collection. I had such a great time writing it, and had completely forgotten that I’d wanted to write at least one more story with the same characters. I won’t get that done by this Halloween, but I’ve put it on my to-do list for next year.
Here’s the description of the story:
Bean hated...

My life is a blur
There’s so much going on that it’s hard to keep track of everything!
Actually that’s not true. I have lists, and spreadsheets, and lists of spreadsheets, and spreadsheets of lists—all very colorful, of course! The hard part right now is that I’m doing a lot of organizing at work and while wearing my writing/publishing hats. I’m on top of everything—even when I’m behind, I’ll have a list of what I’m behind on.

The revenge of the tomatillos!
The final garden harvest was Saturday. I picked a gazillion tomatillos, the remaining peppers, and a tiny bit of basil. Over the past two weeks I’d picked most of the basil (which now lives in my freezer) and the more ripe peppers. As you can see, tomatillos were the bulk of the harvest.
The long peppers are Big Jims, and the smaller ones are baby Big Jims, Mosco Pueblo chili peppers, and there’s even one teeny tiny poblano. I left the little peppers on the plants as long as I could, but the...
