Good write a story where the hero fixes the mess. What scares you? Blow it up make it larger than life and then make your lead character deal with it. Inspiration is everywhere. I wrote a short story once inspired by the fact at preying mantis females eat their mates after sex. That one may have been inspired because my wife and I had a fight but I’m sticking with the preying mantis story, it’s safer. :-)(less)

Long lost friends, what would their return bring to your life? Why did they vanish? Health issues, why are they there, have I been experimented on by government/aliens. Given that the US government tested germ warfare agents in the Toronto subway system with the approval of the Canadian government this isn’t as far-fetched as it seems.
Where are my blooming bolt cutters, did a stalker break in a ‘borrow’ them. I have some heavy gauge steel to cut and I can’t find them. It’s life.
Life is resplendent with plotlines you just have to look at things a little sideways. Being a little paranoid helps, but also believing that the universe is far more vast and involved than we will ever comprehend opens things up for plotting quite a bit.
The key is to have the gem of reality that the more extreme ideas anchor too.

Balance in all things

Balance in all things. In writing Horn of the Kraken I realised that I might wrongly vilify some people. The truth is politicks and privilege corrupt and to be honest a modern Pagan would probably find they had more in common with a Christian from the first or second century CE than with many of the Pagans of the time. Most Christians I have known have been descent people just trying to get by. Fo Read more of this blog post »

“I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.”

Stephen Pearl Good to have you aboard Loreile.

Lorelei Orion Hi, Stephen. Thanks for the friendship!

Stephen Pearl That's cool are you in Hamilton? We may actually cross paths sometime. I don't know if my message went through about the interview but I'd love to do one at your convenience. Keep smiling.
