Author of Safe, Blood Matters and a few more.
I am many things; a writer, a mother, a wife, a dachshund lover, a sister, a daughter, a friend, an author. There isn’t anything on this list I could say I love more or that gives me more joy than the rest. I will fight to the death for my family, as I would fight to the end to give my books their best chance, as I will do everything in my power to provide my dogs the best care, as I have dropped everything to comfort a friend or help out my sister, mother or children (and I'd do it again).
Just as I write rich and engaging stories full of dynamic characters and fascinating ideas and places, I am as equally diverse: filled with a life of amazing and strange adventures.

Actually the very best thing about being an author is when someone reads one of my books (or all of them) and loves it almost as much as I do :D(less)

Usually if I can’t write something it’s because there is something wrong with it. Something I need to work out. My mind — and I’m not always conscious of this part — is good at working through the problem to a fix if I just give it the time it needs.
I find if I back off and give the problem space to breath. My mind will do what it is so good at doing and suddenly it’s like “light bulb” of course X has to happen and then Y and of course after that Z…
Meanwhile, as I let the process work itself out I’m catching up on a show or the housework or reading I desperately needed to get done, or spending time with my family (or not and getting together with a friend) and sometimes I just let it go and pick up a different project.(less)

Write About What You Know

Arguably that is one of the hardest concepts for me to understand. Probably because I wasn't thinking about it the right way. You see, being a fiction writer, I wasn't sure how I could write about ghosts, super powers, other worlds and especially about vampires. I haven't had a lot of experience with any of those things. I haven't done a lot of research either. My knowledge of these things is l... Read more of this blog post »

Aviva Bel'Harold Ok, so here it is ~ the bottom line truth about me: I ma dyslexic... Yup I ma a dyslexic author :( So, reading was always a challenge for me. If the story isn't good RIGHT AWAY I won't continue, it feels like a waste of my time.
I am also ADHD. I call it my super power, but sometimes it is my worst enemy too.
That is it - the long and short of it.
