White picket fences can be dangerous to vampires. Sometimes a woman’s gotta choose…

But the few guys on the trip leave much to be desired—unlike the two men Pia sees in a small Icelandic town. Handsome, mysterious, and very dangerous… Just the sight of them puts her in a dither. How about some historical menage erotica (psst, it also has werewolves) from Victoria Janssen:

It is the eve of the Great War, and English chemist Lucilla Osbourne finds herself trapped on hostile German soil. Panicked and alone, she turns to a young Frenchman for shelter. Together they spend a night of intense passion, but their dangerous circumstances won’t allow more than a brief affair.

Even with the memory of Lucilla’s lushness ever present, scientist Pascal Fournier is distracted by his reason for being in enemy territory—Tanneken Claes has information Pascal could use against the enemy but, even more extraordinary…she’s a werewolf.

After entrusting Pascal with her secret, Tanneken and her mate, Noel, are captured. Suspecting a rogue scientist rumored to have a fascination with werewolves is behind the abduction, Pascal knows he must act fast to save them. He’s all too aware of Professor Kauz’s reputed perversions and lust for control….

As war rages, Pascal and Lucilla combine efforts to stop Kauz, struggling with danger, power and secret desires transformed by the unyielding hunger for the beating of a lover’s heart.

How about a highly imaginative urban fantasy from Nancy Holzner:

They call it Deadtown: the city’s quarantined section for its inhuman and undead residents. Most humans stay far from its borders — but Victory Vaughn, Boston’s only professional demon slayer, isn’t exactly human…

Vicky’s demanding job keeping the city safe from all manner of monsters is one reason her relationship with workaholic lawyer (and werewolf) Alexander Kane is in constant limbo. Throw in a foolhardy zombie apprentice, a mysterious demon-plagued client, and a suspicious research facility that’s taken an unwelcome interest in her family, and Vicky’s love life has as much of a pulse as Deadtown’s citizens.

But now Vicky’s got bigger things to worry about. The Hellion who murdered her father ten years ago has somehow broken through Boston’s magical protections. The Hellion is a ruthless force of destruction with a personal grudge against Vicky, and she’s the only one who can stop the demon before it destroys the city and everyone in it.

How about a light paranormal romance from Dakota Cassidy (of note, this book is autographed by the author!):

When Marty Andrews gets bitten by a mangy mutt while walking her teacup poodle, her blond hair darkens, the hair on her legs starts growing at an alarming rate, and her mood swings put her dream job as a sales rep for Bobbie-Sue Cosmetics in serious jeopardy.

Then a drool-worthy man shows up at her door claiming that he accidentally bit Marty. And since he’s a werewolf, she is now, too. Six Sentence Sunday – 6/3

Thought I’d share six from my most recent release. This section doesn’t need much explanation, you can more than figure out what’s happen – but it is of the adult variety. ;) (And psst…All Romance eBooks has all Ellora’s Cave titles w/ a 30% rebate, including Chasing Sin for the month of June!)

Warmth and pressure built, rising in a crescendo that echoed the monster storm raging outside. She rode Snyder, reaching back to pull Tripp’s hips hard against her bottom so she felt his erection as well.

A sharp crack of thunder split the air just as she slammed forcefully down on Snyder. Her body imploded as the resonance of the charged air vibrated outside. The orgasm was sharp and powerful, shattering her with unrelenting force.

But it wasn’t enough.

For those new to this, the rules are simple:

1) pick a project – a current Work in Progress, contracted work or even something readers can buy if you’re published

2) pick six sentences

3) post ‘em on Sunday

See? Easy. Want to play? See the site for information on how to do just that: http://sixsunday.com

If you have a Twitter account, you can add the hashtag #sixsunday to your tweets when you tweet a link to your Six Sentence Sunday post. If you’re a writer (regardless of published/unpublished status) come join us!

How about a dark paranormal romance from Jennifer Armintrout:

I’m no coward.

I want to make that perfectly clear. But after my life turned into a horror movie, I take fear a lot more seriously now. I finally became Dr. Carrie Ames just eight months ago. Then I was attacked in the hospital morgue by a vampire. Just my luck.

So now I’m a vampire, and it turns out I have a blood tie to the monster who sired me. The tie works like an invisible leash and I’m bound to him no matter what I do. And of course he’s one of the most evil vampires on earth. With my sire hell-bent on turning me into a soulless killer and his sworn enemy set to exterminate me, things couldn’t get much worse — except I’m attracted to them both.

Drinking blood, living as an immortal demon and being a pawn between two warring vampire factions isn’t exactly how I’d imagined my future. But as my father used to say, the only way to conquer fear is to face it. So that’s what I’ll do. Fangs bared.

Simply leave a comment between now and 9 pm (EST) today to be entered for a paperback copy of Jennifer’s book. No need to leave an email (I hate SPAM as much as the next person). Through the magic of Random.org, I’ll announce the winner of the previous day at the beginning of each new post & the winner will be responsible for contacting me directly. The winner will have five (5) days to contact me before a new winner is drawn.

How about an action/adventure science fiction romance from R. Garland Gray:

Declan de Douglas has come to Planet Forest to negotiate a trade agreement with Clan MacKendrick during a time of precarious peace. It’s 3211, and Ancient Earth is a distant memory. As a child on Planet Mars, he learned that knowledge means preventative clout, but no education acquired in the Braemar Keep of Clan Douglas could prepare him for the peril that awaits him on this mission.

Princess Fallon MacKendrick is drawn to the Douglas “Savage” from the day he enters the MacKendrick Castle Keep. Her betrothal contract prohibits her from pursuing Declan, a member of an untrustworthy clan, but he stirs her like no other. When he is kidnapped, collared, and sold to a space-age brothel to provide stud service, Fallon infiltrates this high-tech prostitution ring to rescue the haunted man who touched her heart.

Destined to be her lover, Declan is at the mercy of a woman who loves not only his body but his spirit. A product of DNA synthesis, his days are numbered unless his soul accepts the altered state of his physical makeup. Princess Fallon holds his life in her hands, the only woman with the power to save him from his captors . . . and himself.
