I’ve done it!
I’ve actually fucking done it!
I have planned and implemented this trip without a single person (aside from work colleagues who I told from the start for obvious reasons) finding out. Six months planning. Six months, and nothing’s slipped out. I kept this hidden from you all.
I so want to drop hints, say something but I have to realise I still have a week of teasers to go. I still have an announcement video to complete.

I finally have the house to myself. I can now spread stuff onto the landing, making piles to make sure I have everything and not worry about a housemate seeing something and give the game away.
There’s still so much to do. Things need charging. I need to change the maps on my GPS and put the pocket query on it. And I need to pack. So panicing that I will forget something vital.

I’ve lost my glasses. I had them when I went into the office at the end of last week but despite popping in today there’s no sign of them. Gah! I don’t want to take my spares. It’s little things like this that at the last stages of planning really, really irritate me.

Day 6 – Tourists
Had the beginning of the week not happened I might be starting to feel a little frustrated. After such a big system, the weather is taking time to reset and so we’ve been treated to some wonderful blue skies.
But I’m still loving the trip. Some members of our group can’t handle the miles on the road (we’ve done over 3000 already) but just hanging out, seeing the world pass by and cracking shit jokes with your fellow travellers is an awesome way to spend time in my opinion.

Today I went Geocaching with Westie. I needed around 110. The idea is to make my 13,000th my first US cache. Dad and Rob dropped out because they were worried about the miles but in the end we didn’t need to do the second circuit.
