"Es un libro mucho muy diferente a los que el autor me tenía acostumbrada, y la verdad es que eso lo convirtió en una agradable sorpresa.
Es una lectura muy fluida y que invita a la imaginación.

“No contesten alaridos del monte porque pueden ser del Enrabiado.”

“Las profundas raíces del gigante empiezan a oxidarse bajo la ciudad.
Monterrey entero se cimbra.”

“Mr. Bingley observed the desserts his poor servants had been attending to at the time of their demise - a delightful array of tarts, exotic fruits and pies, sadly soiled by blood and brains, and thus unusable.”
Seth Grahame-Smith, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies

“When you say you’re a fan of the gore, what do you mean?”
“The all supernatural bunch, love. The scarier the merrier.”
Patricia Morais, The Roommate

“I have seen a lot of ugly things as a trainee and as a nurse, but they don't bother me very much. It's not that the familiarity hardens one; it is rather that one learns the knack of channelling one's emotions around the ugly thing.”
Theodore Sturgeon, The Perfect Host

“What are you?' She asked. He shot her a brief glance and looked away. He stared at the scenery of the pastures and distant rows of trees. She knew he was not going to answer the question.

In the brightening daylight, she could see that most of the blood on him was restricted to his mouth and hands. It dawned on her that it wasn't his blood, but the blood of something he had caught and eaten.”

Felipe Montes Espero que les guste este poema que acabo de hacer a la mitad de esta noche. Será parte del tercer tomo de La Guerra del Viento.

Despertar de unas ángelas

Ya amanecen los huizaches
y van brillando las lomas;
ya retoñan las anacuas
y se agitan las palomas.

Sobre iluminados pastos
florecen sus alas blancas;
entre las peñas del campo
se despiertan y se abrazan.

Ya se frotan las pestañas,
baten sus pálidas alas
y aspiran todas muy hondo
los perfumes de las plantas.

Al Aire alisan las ángelas
sus finas plumas de plata;
sus albas alas extienden
hacia las pardas montañas

y rápido llegan lejos
porque Su Abuelo las carga
de Sus Barbas, con Sus Brazos,
sobre Sus Claras Espaldas.
