Taking A Break and Heeding the Almighty Lava Lamp

Well folks, I'm going to take a break. Been a real busy year so far, and now I have the time to catch up on re-editing past works and setting up a promotional strategy for this summer and fall.

The Council of the Mighty Lava LampsBut I will do some visiting and stop by and say hello throughout the month of June.

Thanks again for being such awesome blogging buds. Until I return, probably for July's IWSG, well, you know what to do. The Lava Lamp is once again in charge.

All heed the the...

IWSG: Releasing A Revision

Hi everyone, It’s that time again for the monthly Insecure Writers Support Group, hosted by Alex J. Cavanaugh and apparently there are no co-hosts this month.
My Concern This Month is re-editing a thousand pages of text. I’m pretty much taking June off to finish the re-edits for the three books in the Breakthrough series as I prepare to release them as a Box Set.
Breakthrough was my first book and after re-editing it, in retrospect, it looks like I wrote the original using color cra...

Road Trip! A to Z T-Shirts!! Character Logs!!!

Who’s Up For A Road Trip? I know I am. But at a much more leisurely pace than the A to Z Challenge. Yep, it’s that time for the 5th Annual Post-Challenge Road. Just find a happy speed and hit cruise control, lower the windows, and play your favorite music. This trip, however, is a meandering journey through the list of participants, at your own pace, with your own rules, and very few expectations.
I know I missed a TON of amazing blogs during this year's Challenge. We had almost 2,000 pa...

IWSG, Salem's Daughters, and Trilogy Box Sets

IWSG: It’s that time again for the monthly Insecure Writers Support Group, the brainchild of Alex Cavanaugh. I’m co-hosting for Captain Ninja Alex this month, along with Lisa Buie-Collard and Eva Solar. And right after A to Z. Yay me! Somebody send me a straight jacket.
This month I have a dilemma but after a bit of brainstorming the solution was obvious. I wanted to release Salem’s Daughters, previously titled Murcat Manor, this Labor Day Weekend. But my critique group and some of the a...

Reflections Post 2015 Blogging A to Z Challenge

Wow! It’s officially in the books! 26 posts in in April, each blog represent each letter of the alphabet. Don’t know about you, but I was exhausted when I hit the ENTER key for my Z post.
Wifey and the kids and I took the weekend off and got a local hotel room and lounged around the pool, read, and napped. Sunday night we say Mall Cop II (this never gets old) and then capped of the weekend with ice cream.
My Three Favorite Blogs: This was a really tough one as there were so creative...

Z is for Zombies

Zombies: they are the in thing. They are everywhere. Books. TV shows. Movies. T-shirts. Halloween costumes.

Basically, there are two kinds of zombies. The first are zombies that rise from the dead. These are the undead zombies. The second are zombies that are the result of a virus and spreads, such as the book and movie World War Z.
Well, that’s it. I’m spent. Thanks to everyone for participating in 2015 Blogging A to Z Challenge. You are truly champs! I know people are busy. They...

Y is for Yahweh

Yahweh: The name of the God of the Bible practicing Jews and Christians acknowledge and follow. Yahweh is the proper name of God in the Old Testament. There are other names for God such as Jehovah (along with many derivitives) and Elohim and El Shaddai.
He is called by Father in the New Testament among other names and titles. I trust my life in the God above.
Other people believe in something else that helps explain the universe and their place in it. There have been many religions...

X is for Xenoglossy

Xenoglossy: a paranormal or supernatural phenomena where a person or a group of people speak or write in a language entirely unknown to them.
Many people have never heard of this term. But you have seen or read it in popular culture. In the Bible in the Book of Acts on the day of Pentacost “All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.”
This is an example of Xenoglossy.
In is a movie, I forget the name, where a poss...
