Yasheve Miller has had an unhealthy love affair with Miami. He has tried to leave her and let her go several times. Every time he’s left her, she’s called him back. She entices him to push the boundaries of morality. Following her lead, he’s found himself in compromising positions. Neither of them are ever the same when they get back together, but they still manage to fall in love with one another all over again. And when they part, there’s always a future full of possibilities. He loves her still.

My rating: 3 of 5 stars
I've read more books on writing than I can remember. Normally, I know what to expect... a rehash of the last few books I read. I only read them to remind me of things that I might have forgotten, but this one was surprisingly fresh. I finally understood what it meant to have a fresh persepctive on topics that have Read more of this blog post »

Love's Beautiful (Drama)

Description: The Playhouse Bar & Lounge. My think tank. I brooded over a cocktail and cigarettes in the darkest corner I could find with both elbows on the table. During stressful times, I preferred being surrounded by other sorry bastards. Yes, I could have, should have, and would have searched for the bottom of a bottle in the comfort of my own home, but no one else was there. I told you I preferred the company of others. My wife disappeared three days ago.
The War for Miami (Mystery & Thrillers)
1 chapters   —   updated Aug 22, 2009 09:04PM
Description: Excerpt: There are no family vacations planned in this Miami. The Spring Breakers have over indulged in wild sex, exotic drugs, and crazy fiestas, but they have never seen Miami for who she really is. The movies, the television shows, and celebrity spottings promote a reputation which doesn't quite express her true beauty. For when she turns the lights of the sun off, she reveals her true self. Benito Castillo only wants to keep his head above the water and stay off the Miami-Dade police radar. Friends and enemies alike have other plans for this rising Drug Lord. "Finally, we're speaking in terms I can understand. Power, scandal and greed." Riley Sanders has his hands right where he wants them. In everybody else's pockets. The future mayor's wife. The chief of police. Discouraged club owners. Etc. But his investments are plummeting. Drastic times call for drastic measures. And he will use his enemies as well as his friends to get what he wants.
