Finally Free

Looking for the solution

Another compromise

Your way or the highway

Shake my head in dismay

Tied up in writhing knots

Like a ball of slithering worms

So much activity, so little to gain

It all remains exactly the same

Diversity and opinions

We never think the same

Differences exploited

Eternally disappointed

It’s such an easy game

Everyone’s so gullible

To easy to divide

Playing upon our personal pride

The writhing will continue

Jostling, bustling and finger pointing

Shit rises slowly to the top

Extracting every stinking drop

Maybe the answer is plain to see

Stop fighting and struggling

Just stop and let it be

Be finally and utterly free

How We Are

On Sunday evening I arrived in Zurich airport and headed to buy my rail ticket to Zug. The lady who sold me the ticket told me I had 2 minutes to make the train so I quickly ran to the platform and past the orange vested ticket guys. I flashed the ticket and entered the train as it began to move. I had made it.

I sat.

Not 30 seconds into the trip, the orange vested inspector asked me for my ticket and I duly presented it. I expected him to stamp it, return it and move on.

He spoke to me in German or a variant of it. I explained I didn’t speak or understand German. He replied in English. He told me I had not stamped the ticket before boarding the train and now I owed him a penalty of 100 Swiss Francs. I didn’t quite comprehend this…

“Isn’t it your job to stamp it?”

“No. There were little orange stamping machines on the platform for that.”

“Sorry, I’m not paying you 100 swiss francs for doing your job” I quipped in total disbelief. The ticket only cost 38 francs after all.

“But you must pay me 100 swiss francs,” he said.

“Not likely,” says I resolutely, “besides, I don’t have any francs.”

I then explained that I didn’t know and no one had told me that I had to stamp the ticket myself before boarding the train. How could I?

At this, he relented. 10 Francs then he demanded.

I tried to explain again that I didn’t have any francs.

“Euro?”

I explained I had no Euro.

He looked not just puzzled but deeply disturbed by this revelation.

“Passport!” he demanded.

I gave him my passport. “Pounds?” he asked.

Sorry I explained I had no pounds either.

He then left with my passport and returned with two colleagues and a police officer.

We went through the above conversation one more time for everyone’s benefit and then told me I had told him to “F**k off as well.

This was new information as actually, at least until this point, I had maintained an incredulous but passive disposition.

“I did no such thing!”

I was again asked for francs. This time I said “Look, I have Czech Crowns….”

The disbelief among the 4 men was plainly obvious. I hastily pulled out my Czech permanent residence card. “That is where I live see… so no francs, no Euros, no Pounds… just Czech Crowns.”

They didn’t seem impressed by Czech Crowns. It was beginning to get ugly. He had my passport and it looked like he intended to keep it. I again told them I didn’t think this was right as I had no idea I had done anything at all wrong. It was now getting to the point where they kept asking for 10 swiss francs and I kept saying… with increasing amounts of impatience, I do NOT have any swiss francs.

The point is I have a credit card and when I travel I use it. Why would I pay fees to change a couple of hundred dollars, wind up with a bunch of useless coins or pay more fees later to exchange back if I am in the country just a few days at the expense of my client? The very idea that I wasn’t carrying ready cash and that I would argue as well seemed totally objectionable to these Swissies.

It was at that moment something else happened. A man sitting nearby stood up and handed the inspector some swiss francs. Indeed, a short conversation took place and he paid my fine for me.

The man explained that he agreed it wasn’t my fault and that the situation was getting out of hand for the supposed offence. I was, afterall a visitor and did not warrant such treatment. I thanked him profusely and offered to repay if we could find an ATM. He didn’t want repaid he said. He had been lucky that day.

We chatted for the remaining few minutes of the journey. I discovered that he was unemployed and actually having difficulties. He didn’t blame anyone but himself for his dilemma he told me and he was looking for work but he had been lucky that day.

I felt bad. I wanted to repay this generous person who was lacking money but would still pay my fine. He wouldn’t accept any repayment. We swapped email addresses and wished each other goodnight. My faith in humanity not just restored, but given increased confidence that good people really are out there…… there is hope.

What Is It I Am Not Seeing?

OK. I write books and in the last 12-months, I have actually had some success with it too. I have had a no. 1 supernatural best seller on Amazon UK and a no. 2 best seller in another category on Amazon. A few of my books were in the top 20 in the supernatural category for almost 6-months and even now are routinely in the top 100. I have sold around 4000 books this year to date. I have learned a lot during this process.

But.

Can anyone tell me why when I take three Kindle shorts and put them all in one book add a couple more stories to it to total over 50 true scary and bewildering tales of the paranormal and then price it on Kindle less than the total cost of purchasing the three original books (My haunted life, My haunted life too and My haunted life 3), it barely sells at all? My take is that people want short throw aways then? I’m serious. I am so puzzled by this it is keeping me awake at nights. My Haunted Life – Extreme Editionmy haunted life extreme (1) is a steal so why does no one buy it. I have a paperback sat on my shelf behind me. It has a good cover and its over 200-pages of good stories that packaged in three smaller books have sold and been given away to over 6000 readers.

My book publicist tells me people like shorter books. Is he right? Is that laziness or just the modern preference?

Help!

The Judge Within Me

I have a dilemma. It’s been one of those lifelong dilemmas if I am honest. Here it is. I am interested in people’s thoughts on this one.

Inside of me is one character or persona who I will term The Judge. He sits in judgement (reminds me a bit of the Tarot image of The Emperor card to be honest) of me, life and everything. Often, He is quick to speak – “That’s wrong, that’s right, How dare he? What an ass” and so on. He is also the faculty that I use to decide what is right and wrong and what is truth or fiction. He has a purpose. A valid purpose and yet…..

I have another aspect that tells me I should not judge and that I am not a judge of anything except what is within me – what is mine. If I judge I should weigh my own self and spend time working out the knots and stresses inside of me. In doing so, I can look out on the world and see it in a better more wholesome manner.

So who is right?

I mean, without judgement, how could I function at all? How would I be able to decide on a course of action, who my friends should be and that sort of thing? Yet, if I judge wrongly (and I assuredly will since my ability to judge is easily swayed and influenced by internal and external stimulae), how am I hurting others and myself in the broadest sense.

Yes, It is I am aware a polarity issue…. but still.

I took a look at some interpretations of those two tarot cards and was amazed at how they do address my dilemma. The Emperor ‘represents power and authority, and his stern attitude is quite a departure from the sensual beauty of the Empress. The Emperor has a long, white beard, a symbol of his experience. As an archetype, it is common to see masculine figures of authority or father figures with long white beards. It suggests that this man has acquired years of wisdom and experience and he is worthy of listening to because he has seen first-hand the consequences of his actions.

Behind his throne are barren mountains and the throne itself is decorated with four rams’ heads, representing intellectual heights, determination, action, initiative and leadership. The ram is also a symbol of Aries, the astral ruler of the Emperor. In his right hand, the Emperor holds an Ankh, the Egyptian symbol of Life, and in his left is an orb representing the world over which he rules. The orange background and the Emperor’s red clothing symbolise his passion and energy for life and the challenges it offers.’

Meanwhile, Judgement card ‘calls for a period of reflection and self-evaluation. Through meditation or quiet reflection, you may come to a point of deep understanding about the common themes throughout your life and what you can do or change to avoid these situations in the future. Judgement tells you that you are close to reaching a significant stage in your own journey.’

I remain swayed to the idea that I need to eliminate the rapid, snap judgements from my life and that I should judge only myself – however, this is difficult to do and isn’t judgement of someone else really a judgement of ourselves anyway through projection? Then, what about those intuitive moments then when I snap judge something anyway?

Anyone?????

Charade

It is just a charade

A game deep within a game

Hypnotic and beguiling

Passing scenery that can be extremely charming

All you have to do is chose to

Dream a dream into reality

But do take care with your sanity.

A moving tapestry hung

There before your very eyes

Strength needed to recognize

The strangely sordid lies

The game is about creating

And also creation sorting

Determining what is true

But beware because whatever you do

It is only ever true for you

Geburah is needed here

Hold that sphere dear

Mars like efficiency

Sorts the thoughts

Sorts the pictures

While Gedulah smiles another

Images moving from one pillar

Across to the other

It is just a charade

A game deep within a game

Imagine that

Blue and Red Pills

There are a lot of people who simply are content to be. Given a choice, they’d take the blue pill and sleep. I was amazed last week to find out that a BBC journalist fits that category. He writes well actually. However, he writes BBC propaganda. Stories designed to scare, worry and manipulate. When challenged on this he makes those bland statements that he obviously believes such as calling me a climate change denier not worth wasting his breath on and then later, resorting to belittling and insulting comments such as he can see I am a mystic so was my degree in divination? Once he wound his way through those sort of comments I apparently bored him. Sad. That someone with an alternate viewpoint would bore him. I guess he has settled his mind already and is willing to sit on his high ground of egocentric thinking and pontificate and promote … nonsense. So cocksure that he is right just like the King Canute story or the one about the King and his new clothes….It’s what is wrong with the world right now – gullibility and a political mindset bent on promoting some fictional vision of a better world. A lot of younger folk seem to think like this – or rather, they don’t think but spout. Maybe I was the same when I was younger and I just forget…..

Anyway, I would always take the red pill. I want to see through the thin veil of lies and ‘this is so because it is so’ type thinking. To me its appalling that arguments such as the ‘science is proven’ (in of itself, a meaningless statement as science is never proven and cannot be proven), climate change denier, serve for true debate. Everyday, the fact that we live in a world of shadow, lies, manipulation and fantasy becomes clearer day by day. After all, singers now cannot sing (they use computer programs most of the time to autocorrect), athletes performances are enhanced by illegal drugs, Popular figures turn out to be child molesters and pedophiles living fantasy lives, we are told coffee is running out, oil is running out, global warming, alternative medicine is useless, fracking is bad, bees are dying and so much more….. and its actually ALL crap. Do the research and you will discover that these people do not know what they are talking about.

We are marketed to all of the time. Buy this, want that, like this, think that….. BBC and other journalists have become the new Priests of disinformation. Your life is being orchestrated and choreographed.

Isn’t it time to wake up and reject this?

Isn’t that just like the Matrix scene where you can take a blue or a red pill?

My contribution to taking the red pill is called How To Create Your Own Reality. It’s worth a read. It simply is a way for you to begin to orchestrate your own life. To break free and wake up. It is your choice.

The 97%

How many times have you glibly been told that 97% of scientists agree that man made CO2 is responsible for global warming and climate change? President Obama tweeted it not so long ago, Sen. Kerry used that statistic and so did the Pope. I wonder if any of the three of them realized where that statistic comes from and just how meaningless that really is?

There are two sources for the 97% and neither of them are very compelling. One was a two question survey sent to over 10,000 Earth Scientist asking two set up questions. The first asked if temperatures had risen in the last 100 years and the second asked if man had an impact on that temperature rise. Now only about 3500 surveys were completed and of them only 79 were completed by people who were ‘climate scientists’ – whatever that is. Of those 79 climate scientists, 77 answered yes to both questions – or 97%. I would have too and I am in the 97% according to the questions asked – isn’t everybody?

The other source of the statistics was a survey of peer reviewed papers by a University Professor in Australia. Again, if you actually read the paper he wrote you won’t be overly impressed. Actually only 37% of the papers suggested man made CO2 as a cause but by fudging the way papers were included or excluded, he managed to make it 97%. Statistics… damn lies and statistics.

Today, I signed a petition and I want to tell you about it.

The purpose of the Petition Project is to demonstrate that the claim of “settled science” and an overwhelming “consensus” in favor of the hypothesis of human-caused global warming and consequent climatological damage is wrong. No such consensus or settled science exists. As indicated by the petition text and signatory list, a very large number of American scientists reject this hypothesis.

Publicists at the United Nations, Mr. Al Gore, and their supporters frequently claim that only a few “skeptics” remain – skeptics who are still unconvinced about the existence of a catastrophic human-caused global warming emergency.

It is evident that 31,487 Americans with university degrees in science – including 9,029 PhDs, are not “a few.” Moreover, from the clear and strong petition statement that they have signed, it is evident that these 31,487 American scientists are not “skeptics.”

These scientists are instead convinced that the human-caused global warming hypothesis is without scientific validity and that government action on the basis of this hypothesis would unnecessarily and counterproductively damage both human prosperity and the natural environment of the Earth.

As of today, make that 31,488 Americans with science degrees and 9,030 PhDs.
