Jessica Treadway's novel THE GRETCHEN QUESTION was published in June 2020, following the novels LACY EYE in 2015 and HOW WILL I KNOW YOU? in 2016. Her collection of stories PLEASE COME BACK TO ME received the Flannery O'Connor Award for Short Fiction and was published by the University of Georgia Press in 2010. Her previous books are the novel AND GIVE YOU PEACE and ABSENT WITHOUT LEAVE AND OTHER STORIES. She teaches in the Department of Writing, Literature and Publishing at Emerson College in Boston.

If you love short stories, read this book. Joseph O'Malley captures the small but significant moments in "ordinary" people's lives, rendering their pain and hope, triumphs and failures, with insight, compassion, and grace. A beautiful read.
