Kathleen Kirk reads and writes a little every day, swims laps, gardens haphazardly, has two kids and a husband, likes to eat, hates to cook. She has worked as a college teacher, bookstore and library assistant, motel and house maid, poetry editor (Poetry East, RHINO, Escape into Life), encyclopedia editor, professional actor and director, and morgue librarian (City News Bureau, Chicago, before the age of the Internet). She has acted at the Steppenwolf, Court, and Free Shakespeare theatres in Chicago, the Illinois Shakespeare Festival, Heartland Theatre, and Illinois Voices in the Midwest, and Theatre of the Open Eye in New York. Evidently she is a Jill of all trades.

Tiny...Dead Things

Well, I went to work today, not to work, but to put up a theatre-library display, due to a collaboration between institutions, library and theatre, and ended up helping patrons and talking to visitors and just hanging out! Indoors. Because it was freezing outside, still is, and now it's snowing again. Poop! Maybe March is the cruelest month.
