Chris Paynter is the author of nine novels, including "Survived by Her Longtime Companion," the winner of the 2013 Golden Crown Literary Society Ann Bannon Popular Choice Award and Finalist for the 2013 Lambda Literary Award in Lesbian Romance. I'v…moreI'm assuming we're talking about my own books. I'd have to say Eleanor and Daphne from "Survived by Her Longtime Companion"... especially Eleanor. I've never had a character speak to me so clearly as she did. It was like I was writing someone's life story as I sit and listened to them tell me. Maybe it's because that's how that book was written. Eleanor told Bailey and Chelsea about the love she shared with Daphne, the movie star. Eleanor and Daphne overcame a lot together and their love was stronger for it.(less)
