I was born and raised in small town Texas but currently reside in Oklahoma. I'm the author of several short stories of horror and contemporary that have appeared in ezines such as Long Story Short, One Forty Fiction, Twiction Addiction and A Medley of Fiction Anthology. My proudest work was a story entitled “Tornado Luck” published in a charity anthology benefiting hurricane victims called Stories of Strength which also included writings from Orson Scott Card, Jenna Glatzer and Wil Wheaton. I completed the “Basics of Writing” course from Long Ridge Writers Group in 2008. My latest work appeared in Trembling With Fear, Chronos: An Anthology of Time Drabbles and 50-Word Stories.

Mr. Wiggle

I don't write poetry often but here's one of the few. Enjoy!

Mr.Wiggle
By: Andrea Allison

Drenched in shadows, he wiggled when he walked.Filled me with giggles as he creaked and popped.
Mom silenced me every night. But I always put up a fight.
"He's my friend." I would always say. She'd shake her head and walk away.
I lay in bed and sigh. Why does she believe Mr. Wiggle is a lie?
He emerged from the floo... Read more of this blog post »

Eleanor Roosevelt
“No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.”
Eleanor Roosevelt, This is My Story

“Love is always patient and kind. It is never jealous. Love is never boastful or conceited. It is never rude or selfish. It does not take offense and is not resentful. Love takes no pleasure in other people’s sins, but delights in the truth. It is always ready to excuse, to trust, to hope, and to endure whatever comes.”

Robin Hi, Andrea,
I have a confession to make. For a long time I have been your friend on Facebook but didn't realize who you were. Now that we've connected here, I realize we met on AuthorsbyDesign. I have to apologize for not chatting with you on FB. We both like to read and write horror, so I think we have some lost time to make up. I also have a question. You have an author account, I see. How do you get one of those? I just joined the site the other day and am just learning the ropes. Do you have to have any published books to qualify?
