Raging for Uniform Behaviour
Well over a year after its release, and Uniform Behaviour is still garnering brilliant reviews, yay!
Tamela Quijas of At Your Fingertips covered the anthology, and gave it five raging stars:
"Uniform Behaviour was a delightful series of 16 short and VERY scorching stories that centered on men and women serving the public, from waiters, priests, cooks, security guard, and even the seriously dedicated Queen's guard. The 16 stories that form this wonderful erotica novel run from blazing hot reads that will make the blush, to delightfully sizzling tales that will curl your toes. A delicious read that will make you burn the candles late at night—worthy of 5 raging stars."
This editor (and contributor) is happy dancing!
Want to know more about this hot anthology, which as well as containing sixteen seriously sexy stories about men and women in uniform, also donates a percentage of the proceeds to UK charity Help for Heroes? Check out the book page here.
eBook Review: Build a Man by Talli Roland
Article first published as eBook Review: Build a Man by Talli Roland on Blogcritics.
Build a Man is a chick lit novel from Talli Roland – it's not her first release, but I'll definitely be checking out her backlist having read this one!
It tells the story of cosmetic surgery receptionist Serenity Holland. Being a receptionist is about as far from her dream job as it gets – she wants to be a tabloid reporter, which is why she left Maine, America, and moved to London. She didn't get the job she wanted, but she did get a pretty comfortable life living rent-free after bagging her cosmetic surgeon boss, Peter. Serenity thinks that successful, good-looking Peter will help her become the cool, professional version of herself that she wants to be. Her best friend Kirsty thinks she's nuts for hooking up with such a bore.
So, a few months down the line and Serenity feels she's stuck in a rut. She's in a job she doesn't really want, and her tabloid dreams are no closer to coming to fruition. Until Jeremy Ritchie walks into the surgery. He's decided that to get the woman of his dreams, he needs a complete makeover, with the help of various cosmetic surgery procedures. Despite thinking that Jeremy looks just fine as he is, Serenity knows she's now on to a story that no tabloid editor will be able to resist – and the Build a Man column is born! She's working undercover and nobody but the paper and Kirsty know what's really going on.
Serenity is excited about her new-found success, and is determined to take it all the way and land a job on the newspaper she's writing for. Things seem to be on track, until Jeremy's surgery goes very wrong, and suddenly Serenity's conscience pricks, big style. The paper want her to continue with the column, warts and all, but is Serenity really that desperate to achieve her dreams?
Build a Man is a fab book. I was interested in the brilliant plot from the beginning, and I quickly found myself rooting for Serenity, despite her poor choices. This is a really fun, engaging read, and without giving too much away, let's just say the ending left me feeling very glad that there's a sequel in the works – I want more!

Gambling, Drinking and Generally Behaving Badly by D. L. King
Besides being a writer and editor of erotica, I am a Vegas junkie. It's true; I've been going to Las Vegas at least once, sometimes as many as three times a year for, well, a lot of years. It's practically my second home. I know the Las Vegas Strip as well as a native and can give directions to tourists. I can recognize pretty much any casino on film – in any movie shot in the last couple of decades. I loved watching the television show, Las Vegas, (with Josh Duhamel) because it was like being "home" when I had to be in NYC – which really is my home. By the way, in case anyone was wondering, that show was shot in several casinos, not just one, so don't go looking for the Montecito.
A lot of people go to Vegas for the adult amusement park atmosphere; for the great celebrity chef restaurants, for the really amazing shopping and to people watch. I go to Vegas because I enjoy gambling. There are a number of bars that make outstanding pomegranate martinis and I enjoy those too. I have my favorite restaurants and favorite hotels. As a gambler, I have my favorite casinos and know which ones not to play in (it's all superstition, but I'm luckier in some, than I am in others).
So, holding the first-ever erotica writers conference in Las Vegas was a no-brainer. The city is adult-friendly and my personal playground! So, when Essemoh Teepee brought up the idea of an anthology to benefit the conference, utilizing Las Vegas as a setting, that was also a no-brainer for me. As a New Yorker, my stories tend to be very New York centric, so it was fun writing about my "second city."
There's a lot of "me" in that story. After all, it begins this way:
I come to Vegas to gamble. I enjoy having relaxed cocktails while surrounded by frenetic energy, the chef's tasting menu at many of the most illustrious, internationally known culinary destinations, shopping at fun and funky stores, art galleries and specialty shops and the feeling of anonymity one gets while surrounded by all the glitz, glammor and tackiness that is Las Vegas. But, first and foremost, I come to gamble.
And that much is true – I do go to Vegas to gamble; to eat and drink and gamble. I'll let you decide how much of the rest of the story is true, because that's half the fun of reading erotica.
I hope you'll check out the book, Erotic Encounters in Sin City: Voyeur Eyes Only. Buying the book will help to support the Erotic Authors Association Conference. I know what you're saying: "So what? What does that have to do with me?" Well, here's what: A lot of ideas for books and stories were born at that conference. A lot of writers learned things to help make their writing even better and a lot of people who were on the cusp of putting their work out there for us all to see, got the courage to do just that! So, helping to support the conference translates into better erotica for you! And hey, it's a fun book. Take a look. You know you want to.

[image error]An erotic collection of short stories by best-selling authors with a central theme of voyeurism in Las Vegas.
What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas? Not anymore…
High above the Las Vegas strip, at the top of Skylane Tower, the rooms come with one special amenity; a high powered telescope. When a group of erotica writers descend on Sin City for their annual conference, the voyeurs witness first hand, that some authors live by the adage, 'write what you know'.
A woman's curiosity is piqued as she observes a beautiful stranger being bound in silky red rope. A man scouting for new sex slaves, watches as an elegant woman gets more than her hands dirty. A prostitute pulls a switch – sending her lover out on a call. A simple slip of the hand, causes a case of mistaken room identity and a linen closet at a nearby hotel, sees more action than all of them combined. And that is just the beginning…
They say perception is reality. Is what the Voyeur sees through their spyglass just a fantasy; on which side of the lens would you like to be?

Six Sentence Sunday – 19/2/12
Today I'm sharing something new. Brand new, in fact! The Cottage in the Woods comes out on Wednesday from Resplendence Publishing. I hope you'll enjoy reading snippets from this f/f shapeshifter erotic romance.
A movement in the garden caught Heidi's attention immediately. She peered out into the dark, her hands still immersed in the washing up bowl as she tried to catch another glimpse of whatever was lurking in the darkness outside her kitchen window. She wasn't frightened, merely curious. She lived so far out in the wilderness that it could only be an animal, and the last time she'd checked, they couldn't open locked doors. So she was perfectly safe.
What made her nocturnal visitor so unusual was its proximity to the house.

5 Stars for Punish Me Good
Yay! Romance Novel Junkies covered my fem-dom mini-antho Punish Me Good, awarded it 5 stars, and commented:
"This novella was sexually gratifying and sexually exciting as each scene unfolds. Lucy Felthouse produces two female Doms that gave BDSM a bit of sexy mix with a bit of attitude. Though this is a reversal of power for me with female Doms, this was still very much a BDSM / D.R.I.P worthy read. I was sad to see it end."
The reviewer seemed to be a particular fan of Malachi, the male submissive in this piece. I can't say I blame her – I've a soft spot for him myself
Also covered was Susie White and the Right Hand Man:
"I found this story cute with a twist for grown ups. Although the story is quick and to the point, I enjoyed Lucy Felthouse spicy version of Snow White and her interpretation of the witch."

Guest Blog: A.M. Hudson
Good morning to all you great readers out there. I'm so excited to be here to tell you about Tears of the Broken. Those who've read it will know that it's not just your average vampire tale, and after book 2 comes out in April, the series will barely be able to class itself as YA. Because I have a 'fangtastic' following of fans who love the Dark Secrets series, I decided to dedicate this post to them, and asked them, in a recent Facebook poll, what they would like to know about the series. Here's a few of the questions…
"What makes a story line work?"
Well, I once read that if you flip through any book and can find conflict on every page, you have a working story line. I love conflict. Quite frankly, I feel it drives a story–keeps you reading. But, in order to have conflict, you have to have likeable characters that people care about. Why would anyone turn the page to find out if Ara and David break up, if they don't love Ara or David. They need to be likeable, believable, and interesting so when the writer ruins their lives right in front of your eyes, you won't be able to put the book down until everything is okay again. That's what makes a good story line.
"Did your family and friends give constructive feedback upon your first book that made you make some major changes?"
Yes. My sister and my husband were the very first readers, and they offered a few suggestions, particularly in book 2 and 3, that made me go back and change a few of the more shocking events. Let's just say that I find it a little too easy to write horror and tragedy.
Did you achieve it all on your own or did you attend a writing group every now and then?"
Nope. I did it all on my own. I researched on the internet, spent a lot of time over at Grammar Girl, and wrote every day, whether it was bad or good.
"Was there any writing formulation or process that you followed that was borrowed from a course, another author, a tutor or a programme?"
Not really. I just followed my heart. I let the characters drive the plot with their emotions, and that's why the story has been so successful. It's just like life. Almost everything we do is motivated or destroyed by what we feel. But, aside from an emotion-driven plot, I also thought about the stories I loved–what made me keep turning pages–and incorporated those elements into the series as well.
Anyway, a short post is a good post, so I'll leave it there. If you would like to know more, you can ask me anything on Facebook or Twitter. I love to hear from fans, and even love all the suggestions I get in my inbox.
Thanks again for hosting this stop here today, and I hope you all enjoy reading Tears of the Broken. And remember to keep your eye out for book 2 in April.

Have a Smutty Valentine's Day!
Yes, it's that day again. Happy Valentine's Day! I'm not overly excited, as me and my OH celebrated it by disappearing off to York for the weekend. Despite the freezing (and below) temperatures, we had a lovely time and exchanged our cards then. But, as usual, weekends are over far too quickly and it's back to work!
However, I'm not going to dampen your enjoyment. No, far from it! Instead, I'm going to point you towards some yummy books to get you in the mood for lurrrrve (and probably naughtiness, too!).
Do you like your love in the vein of fairy tales? In that case, check out my Snow White and the Huntsman retelling, Susie White and the Right Hand Man.
[image error]Or perhaps you like tales of lost loves, and love that never dies? Love Through Time is a sweet and sensual ghost story that'll give you chills.
Loose Ends is the tale of a University reunion, and what happens when two people that like each other very much finally get the opportunity to be together. Sweet, but also very, very hot!
How about making a discovery about someone that you've known what feels like forever? A discovery that will change both your lives… that's what you'll find in Succubus Comes Home.
Love lesbian vampires? Love Paris? Then you'll adore Bite with Height, my f/f erotic romance set in the City of Light. It won the SexyReads.co.uk Book of 2011, you know!
And last, but certainly not least, why not treat yourself to an anthology full of nice but naughty stories? House of Erotica brings you Absolute Valentines, which contains stories from yours truly, Victoria Blisse, Sommer Marsden and more!
Well, I've done my bit, so now you go and load up your eReader and snuggle under the covers for some very nice naughty time!

Two Super Reviews for Susie White
My saucy retelling of Snow White and the Huntsman, Susie White and the Right Hand Man, got another couple of awesome reviews!
Here goes (click the names of the sites to read the full reviews):
"…I love Lucy's writing style. There's some wonderfully subtle tongue-in-cheek humour in there, and for a short story, you get a fully fleshed background and very rounded characters. How she managed to re-write Snow White to fit this story for the modern day is great, original, and, I thought, very clever. If you're looking for something light and fun to read on your lunch break that won't scare all your colleagues away from you (it's not that explicit), this one's a winner. Totally recommended
I'll definitely be reading more of Lucy's books!" 4 out of 5, Erotic Flashes
"I love a re-telling of a fairy tale! The story is an imperfect, yet likable, bedtime story with a modern fairy tale twist that is sure to please." BookingIt
