Sunday Snog – Succubus Comes Home

Here’s a snog-tastic snippet from my paranormal erotic romance, Succubus Comes Home.
Once the door was safely closed behind them, Alice looped her arms around Antony’s neck and pulled him in for a kiss. Instantly, and much to her surprise, she felt a delicious jolt in between her legs. Wow, this guy was doing some strange, but welcome, things to her. She pressed herself against him, grinning against his mouth as his arms went around her, pulling her even closer. He hadn’t even had chance to remove his jacket before she’d jumped him, so she could smell the scuffed leather. It was a truly masculine smell which sent further warmth to Alice’s pussy, and she felt a trickle of juice seeping into her underwear.
Breathing deeply, Alice could also smell Antony’s cologne. It, too, was very masculine, very pleasant and yet somehow familiar. She knew the smell, but couldn’t quite put her finger on who she knew or had known that wore it. There was someone, but his identity evaded her. She could almost see his face, but it kept skipping away from her. No matter. She was here, now. And for a change, it was exactly where she wanted to be.
She pulled her body back, still kissing Antony, and pushed the lapels of his jacket back over his shoulders. He got the hint and wriggled out of it, their lips still crushed together, unwilling to part. Alice couldn’t wait to get him naked. She’d never been this out of control over a guy before, and she thought she liked it. Based on the spark between them so far, Alice was going to get a major energy boost tonight. Hell’s administrators would be most pleased.
Desperate for some skin-to-skin contact, Alice broke off their embrace. She stepped back, slid the spaghetti straps of her dress from her shoulders and shimmied around until the garment hit the floor. She wasn’t wearing a bra, didn’t need to; her shapeshifting talents meant that her body could look exactly how she wanted. And the form she’d chosen this evening had bigger than average, yet decidedly perky breasts. She turned on her heel (literally, she was still wearing her stilettos as she knew they made her arse look fab) and strode to the bedroom. At least she hoped it was. In the small apartment, the door she’d approached could only be the bedroom or the bathroom.
Thankfully, she was right. On opening the door, Alice saw an extremely tidy bedroom. Tidy? Wow, he really was perfect.

Cara Sutra Reviews While the Boys Are Away
The lovely Cara Sutra took some time out from her busy schedule to read and review my sexy lesbian mini-anthology, While the Boys Are Away. I’m delighted to say that I think she liked it!
Here’s what she had to say:
“I really enjoyed this triple pleasure book and devoured it quickly. The stories are short enough to read on a short journey or a work coffee break. The only thing I can say is that I wish the stories were slightly longer with more character detail, background and plot. However, the lesbian fun stays in your mind a good while after. I recommend this delicious gift from Lucy Felthouse to all!” 9 out of 10

New Release: Off the Beaten Track
Those lovely folks at Resplendence Publishing have published another one of my stories! Off the Beaten Track belongs to their Erotic Gems range (as does my earlier release with them, The Cottage in the Woods), and is a seriously sexy m/f short story.
Here’s the blurb:
When workaholic Libby Strong’s friends and family make her take a long overdue holiday, she’s not impressed. A week of lounging by a swimming pool and doing nothing is not her idea of fun. In an act of rebellion, she books a day trip, touring in a jeep. When her guide arrives, Libby’s astonished to discover she’s the only patron going on the trip. But as hunky Demetrio takes her off the beaten track and deep into the beautiful Portuguese countryside, she soon leaves her worries behind and hangs on tight for the ride of her life.

Guest Blog: Angela S. Stone
Jason McCarthy is gay. He’s also a police officer living in a small-minded northern New Brunswick town where being gay could spell the end of his career. When an impending snowstorm threatens to strand his best friend and policing partner, David, Jason offers up his spare room for the night – a move that reveals Jason’s secret, and changes their friendship and lives forever.
David Richard isn’t gay- at least he doesn’t think he is. He knows he loves his best friend, and he admits to feelings that had started after a tragic accident almost a year before. When David acts on these feelings, it doesn’t go well, leaving both men alone and hurt. Jason, however, doesn’t think twice about stepping in and rescuing David’s children when their mother abandons them. The move brings David and Jason back together, but Jason’s past rears its ugly head and they both have to make difficult decisions that are sometimes best left up to fate.
EXCERPT
“I think we should go out to dinner,” Jason told David, his head resting on his partner’s stomach as they watched the television.
“We just ate dinner,” David reminded him gently.
“I don’t mean now, I mean like this weekend we’re both off. On Saturday we should go out for a fancy dinner,” Jason said looking up at his partner.
“Fancy? In Bathurst?” David snorted. “Where do you have in mind?”
“What about that place by the theatre?” Jason suggested.
“Over priced, crappy food.”
“The one by the grocery store?”
“Closed.”
“The Greek place on Main Street?”
David smiled. “That is a good idea.” Jason settled back on David only to be disturbed when David asked. “Why do you want to go out to dinner?”
“Because I thought it would be nice.”
“Just nice?”
Jason slid up David’s body so that he was fully lying on top of him. He kissed the older man. “I want us to go on a proper date.”
“A date?” David murmured.
“Mmhmm. You know we’ve been together for close to two months, and we’ve never gone on a proper date.” Jason shifted so that David could feel how much he wanted him.
“Has it been that long?”
“The twenty-first.”
“You know the date.” David laughed. “I never gave it any thought.”
“I was thinking about it on Monday,” Jason admitted softly.
David reached around and hugged the younger man tight to him. It had been a rough couple of days. Monday had been the one year anniversary of the accident.
Jason snuggled into David’s embrace, grateful for his understanding. David had always understood his feelings about the crash. He’d always been there for Jason, supporting him. Even in those horrible days after, he had been a steady hand that guided Jason. It was then that Jason realised that their relationship was much more than co-workers, much more than friends. He never dreamed it would get to this level. To the point where Jason was sure that they were in love—even if they hadn’t said those exact words yet.
“Can I tell you something,” David asked.
“Besides the fact that I’m probably smushing you,” Jason replied.
David scrunched his nose and Jason planted a kiss on it. “I think that’s when I realized I loved you.”
Tears welled up in Jason eyes and he blinked them back. “Oh,” was the only response he could manage without losing it completely.
“It’s crazy right?” David continued. “Something so awful. But somehow this happened. Something good from something horrendous. I’ll never understand it. But I’m grateful to have found you.”
Tears tracked down Jason’s face as David spoke. He had felt that way for so long. “It’s almost like it was fate.”
“Fate,” David mumbled kissing the tears off of Jason’s face. “I like that.”
They kissed, softly. Jason sat up and pulled David with him. They pushed clothes aside, and David took Jason on the couch. A slow intense burn that left them both physically and emotionally exhausted. Jason cried during their love making. Not out of fear or anger or pain, but out of love. Because Jason didn’t think they were in love anymore. He knew. He knew down to every fiber of his being that he loved this man. He wanted nothing more than to know that David felt the same way.

“Fancy bursting into my boudoir and expecting me to entertain on demand. The cheek of it. You people have no manners.” Estella puffed her raspberry-red hair into something that resembled an up-do and readjusted her breasts, shoving her plump flesh back into her once-upon-a-time-white corset. “I know. The wordis out. I give great story. I do understand. You’re excited, who wouldn’t be? I amrather marvelous, if I do say so myself.“In my day, though, the men held doors open for ladies, and the ladies tiltedtheir necks to offer supper. Oh, no need to wrap that sweater farther up yourjugular, dear, I’ve already eaten, so I’m not hungry…at the moment.” Estellastretched her arms out, licked her canines, and hoisted her moth-hole-riddenskirt to expose her alabaster thighs decorated with stockings laddered at theknees and splattered with fresh blood. “I can’t vouch for Lucy, though. She’salways hungry, aren’t you my little Deady Bear.”
BLURB:
Estella, Vampire Queen of the Rejected, is sick of men. Or so she would have you think. Ditched at the altar by Dracula himself, she’d rather spend her days with what she now believes to be the more faithful gender. Plagued by a Haversham complex, she gets her kicks by luring prey into her decrepit house with promises of erotic tales…but mind your manners, and fingers, because she bites.Lucy Rotterdayne—a zombie better known as Lucy Rot—is Estella’s sometimes-faithful subject and lover. Although why she hangs around to be ridiculed and taunted by a bitter vampire, she has no idea. Perhaps the answer is rooted the story of how she was zombified by a doctor who is simply masterful with his hands? For adult audiences only.

First Impressions
Thanks, Lucy, for having me here today!
I’ve now been a published author for two whole weeks. After a very long time trying to get there, this feels like quite the achievement. And as such, I thought I’d share the things I’ve learned since Room for Love came out.
Don’t book to be on holiday the day your book comes out. This wasn’t actually intentional – the release date was brought forward, and I got to experience the fun of trying to promote a book on an iPhone from the middle of nowhere, with practically no reception, let alone 3G connection.
Everyone you know will think it’s about them. Or you. Or some other, mutual acquaintance. I’d be worried, except no two people have thought the same character was based on the same person. But they’ve all got opinions…
You know you’ve written a good hero when everyone wants one for themselves. My mother, my aunt, my friends… everyone wants to know where they can find a Nate. I have to keep reminding them that a) he’s fictional and b) they’re married/engaged.
It won’t feel quite real for a while. It still doesn’t, really. But the weirdest thing was flicking through my kindle looking for a holiday read, spotting Room for Love and thinking, ooh, what’s that? Before realizing it was my own book.
People can’t tell by looking at you. There’s absolutely no reason why anyone in the wider world should look at me and say, hang on, are you a writer? But somehow I keep expecting it. At the very least, I really want people to ask me what I do for a living!
The work’s not done yet. There’s promotion to do. And a companion novel coming out in July. And, really, I should probably get working on the third book… The joy of being a writer is that the release of my first book is just the beginning. I have so many more to write, and hopefully many more opportunities to enjoy the release week madness. Hopefully not while on holiday.
So, those are my first impressions of being a real, live Published Author. And here, for a glimpse into the world of my book, are my heroine’s first impressions of the Avalon Inn, after six years away…

Room for Love, Sophie Pembroke
The heavy, dark-wood front door, with its stained glass panel showering colored light onto the stone floor of the reception area, felt like another old friend to Carrie. She remembered being too small to even open it on her own; sitting on the step outside waiting for Nancy to come back from the garden to help her, or for a kindly passing guest to let her in. Today, Carrie’s hand hovered above the wood, suddenly reluctant to enter. What if it wasn’t as she remembered? Who was waiting inside?
Carrie sucked in a breath and shoved. The door fell open under her hand, easier than she’d remembered, and she stumbled before finding her feet.
Her favorite tapestry still hung above the reception desk and the sparkling silver threads of the unicorn’s horn caught her eye immediately. Her gaze moved lower. A line of senior citizens spanned the width of the hall, all standing straight backed and staring ahead, like the staff of a 1930s stately home, welcoming their master back from a long trip.
Exactly who had Nancy been hiring lately?
They looked faintly familiar from the funeral, but Carrie knew she’d been too upset that day to really take anything in. Plus, she’d spent most of the day arguing with Dad. Nothing much else had registered. Now she wished she’d paid more attention.
After a long moment of staring at each other, a younger man at the end of the line stepped forward out of the shadows. Even at a six-foot distance, she had to tilt her chin up to take in his cropped brown hair, accentuating a strong jaw. She let her gaze drop enough to linger on the wide, muscled shoulders that looked like he spent his days slinging oxen around, or something equally rural.
“Shall I do the introductions?” he asked, eyebrows raised. Carrie blinked. He wasn’t just gorgeous, he felt…familiar, somehow.
And despite his welcome, he didn’t look too pleased to see her.
BLURB
Can she make room for love?
When wedding planner Carrie Archer inherits the crumbling Avalon Inn where she spent her childhood summers, she knows she’ll do whatever it takes to make it home. With no money for renovations, that means teaming up with her boss to turn the Avalon into a dream wedding venue.
But Carrie has been left more than the Inn–she’s also inherited its occupants, including three senior citizens, a single father chef with childcare issues, a panicky receptionist, and one very gorgeous gardener.
So when her cousin Ruth declares her intention to get married at the Avalon on Christmas Eve, Carrie finds herself juggling decorating with dance nights, budgeting with bridge games…and sabotage with seduction.

ABOUT SOPHIE
Sophie Pembroke has been writing romance for years, ever since she stayed up all night reading Mills and Boon novels as part of her English degree at Lancaster University. She loves to set her contemporary romance stories in the places she has lived – from the wilds of the Welsh mountains, to the gentile humour of the English country village, or the heat and tension of a London summer. She also has a tendency to make her characters kiss in castles.
Currently, she makes her home in Hertfordshire, with her husband and daughter. She writes love stories in her little spare room office, while drinking too much tea and eating homemade cakes. Or, when things are looking very bad for her heroes and heroines, white wine and dark chocolate.
Sophie keeps a blog at www.SophiePembroke.com, which should be about romance and writing, but is usually about cake and castles instead.

Gone Wandering…
Source: google.com via Lucy on Pinterest
If you’re wondering why my Twitter feed has fallen silent (except for scheduled Tweets), or why there are fewer hot guys being repinned on Pinterest, this is why. I am in Rome – or at least I will be. I have a busy weekend, which includes a friend’s wedding, seeing family and packing my case, and then I’m going wandering. Rest assured I will be taking a ton of photographs and hopefully soaking up some inspiration for my writing – I’m thinking my Smut in the City story may well be set here. Please come back here, though, as I have three lovely ladies appearing on the blog this week (providing WordPress doesn’t miss any scheduled posts). Sophie Pembroke, JoAnne Kenrick and Angela S. Stone will be here to tell you all about their new releases – so don’t miss it!
See you when I’m back
P.S. Naturally, if I can find free WiFi that works, I’ll sneak onto Twitter on my phone and see what’s going on. Otherwise it’ll be radio silence. Eep.

Looking Forward to Snow White and the Huntsman?
Who’s looking forward to seeing Snow White and the Huntsman? I know I am… in fact I’ve been looking forward to it ever since I heard that the divine Chris Hemsworth was going to be playing the huntsman.
So much so that I ended up writing a modern version of the fairy tale, with a hero that looks suspiciously like Chris Hemsworth as Thor (I’d just seen Thor when my Hemsworth obsession began).
House of Erotica published my modern fairy tale, called Susie White and the Right Hand Man, which is more of a sensual romance than an erotic romance. It’s had lots of positive reviews (including a Top Pick from Miz Love Loves Books), which you can see on the book page. So if you’re looking for something to tide you over until you can see Snow White and the Huntsman, then check out Susie White and the Right Hand Man.
