Oh, was this bio day? Oops! I forgot. I was lost in my latest manuscript. Umm... bio. Yeah.

Hi! Im Chautona Havig. (for those who care, thats Shuh-TONE-uh HAVE-ig). Yeah. Just work with me here. I should have used a pseudonym, but when you grow up with a name like Chautona, it kind of sticks.

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near. ~ Hebrews 10: 2325

Otherwise, I'm never stuck for ideas. So, when I need title help, I often ask friends, my launch team, and sometimes even the people on my Facebook page and/or group.(less)

Thus far, I plan to do books 1-6 at least one per year. The goal is to move that a bit faster in this second half, but we'll see. So far we have:

Sweet on You (she sees something everyone else missed)
Such a Tease (she does a little deliberate detective work)
Fine Print (she's asked to help solve a puzzle)

To come are:
Dead Letter (a letter brings a mystery to solve)
Eye to I (She's now recognized as having skills by folks outside her social circle and it causes some trouble--at least I think that's what it is)
Looks Could Kill (she's hired to help with an actual murder investigation. It'll tie into many of the books and wrap it up)

Unless, something I plan for in the series doesn't happen. Then I might do another one or two. I actually have a couple I'm going to purchase just in case.

The goal is to show Madeline going from average girl to developing the skills. I wanted to show the progression rather than an already "adept" detective.(less)

Can Anything Do Justice to a Cover This Beautiful?

A stack of packages waited for me when I woke up that morning. I opened the boring ones first. Laundry pods from Dropps.com, Bathroom scrubbing things from Amazon. A new journal Id decided to make a part of my 2020 routine.

Confession. I actually already had it. But I had bought a new one from BaronFig.com (you get 10.00 credit if you order and so do I) because I didnt want to write in the one...

Chautona Havig, Ready or Not

“The treetops swayed high above the mists along the edge of the forest known as Wynne Holt. Five boys, all in their twelfth year, lay on their stomachs peering through the grasses of the headland near The Point. They watched as the cloaked Creature, the Ge-sceaft, wandered through the shifting fog that intermittently smothered the field ahead of them. Its shadow faded and resurfaced as it roamed through the grasses; and at times, eerie noises-- almost like singing-- drifted to the edge of the cliff from where they watched. Angus, the oldest and brawniest of the lads, began telling tales that terrified and delighted the others. “It has horns, it does. That’s why it wears the hood so far over its face. The horns aren’t at the back; they’re near the front, and it uses them to tear up its food like an animal uses claws and fangs.” “What does it eat?” The other boys turned”

Kim Gregory Chautona, I couldn't find the question section, so I'll ask it here. I absolutely loved, loved, loved Prairie. Highland wasn't as good, but I still really liked it and I am so longing for the next book to come out. Any inkling as to when that will be??? Love your books, Kim Gregory.

I actually discovered you and told my Bookworms on Spark People about you. I started reading Past Forward and had to tell my friends about it. We all got hooked on that series!

Pamela Hey Chautona...Thanks for accepting my friend request.
