Sometimes I need a paperback...

Sometimes I need a paperback. What about you. Since I'm a reading junkie, I can't wait until the flight attendant gives me the okay to turn my electronic device back on to read something, especially if I was just at a hook before they ask us to turn off said devices!

If you're like me, you have something to read in case of an emergency like being stuck waiting for the doctor or waiting in line. Waiting is less stressful if I'm doing something pleasant like reading.

There are times when I just need a real book. (I know the green people are going to bark at me for wasting our precious trees, and I'm a supporter believe me. But I'm thinking these books I'm reading are recycled paper.)

I have a Kindle and an iPad and an iPhone. They don't stop my craving for the experience of holding the story between two covers. I love my electronic devices and probably read one of the first books ever converted. My phone is the device I read off the most because its always with me. The iPad is next because I'm usually working on some project on it when I feel like taking a break. I use my kindle at the beach or on the deck by the pool because...well, because I can read it in the sunshine and the battery lasts forever! I read a paperback book on the plane or in the airport. I take a couple with me or buy one at the airport.

What if the electricity goes out? I have my favorites lined up on my shelf in case of a disaster. If the dystopian books I read come to pass, I'll have books to read by firelight. If you want a real book for backup some of mine are in print.

Here are a few of my books available in trade paperback from Amazon or Barnes and Noble.

Hot Highland Fling: (Erotic Journeys) Bonus Edition

by: Eliza March

Other Titles by Eliza March

Contemporary Romance

Rated: EROTIC ADULT

(This title contains adult content: language and explicit language)

Free lance writer, Ailsa Jackson is finished dating executives. She’s looking for hot sexual fantasies with a man who fits her needs... “All muscle, stamina and no commitment.” The assignment in the UK sounds perfect when she's assigned to interview an American CEO who recently inherited lands and a title in Scotland. She tosses her inhibitions aside for the first Highlander she encounters—prepared to research all the old myths about brawny men in kilts and finally answer the age old, burning question: What does a Scotsman wear beneath his kilt?

Colin Fitzgerald represents everything Ailsa hates. He knows it's wrong to deceive her, but he can't risk Aisla discovering his true identity before he seduces her. If only he can become the lover she adores before the interview, perhaps he can convince her they're perfect for each other. He has one night to prove he's no stuffed shirt and three weeks to be everything she desires in a lusty lover. His adventurous lass is not only imaginative but willing.

Can lust turn to love in three weeks and will they be ready for more than a Hot Highland Fling when the assignment draws to an end?

Excerpt:

“So ye don’t mind a man in a skirt, hey?”

The expression on his face turned predatory as he moved into her personal space. She felt like Little Red Riding Hood had come upon the very big, very badWolf, and she so wanted him to eat her. As far as she was concerned, he could have her all he wanted. The silence between them was charged with sexual tension.

“You look...ah, great.”

Ailsa’s gaze took him in again. She’d have to settle for great. Any other term would just be insufficient. Yet great almost seemed an inadequate description under the circumstances. Vocalizing her true feelings—terrific, yummy, fantastic—might be a tip off about her fascination with him and his kilt. She decided to hold it there. Anything other than great would be over the top. No sense scaring the hell out of the first man she encountered in Scotland.

She certainly couldn’t ask the question she longed to ask or lift his kilt and satisfy her curiosity.

He frowned and tilted his chin to one side, perhaps puzzled by her perusal.

She tried to explain. “Don’t get me wrong. I was surprised to see the native dress. You know...the kilt and all. Sorry, I’m babbling. I didn’t know kilts were daily attire.”

“Do ye have something against kilts, then?”

“Oh, no! Absolutely nothing. I actually have a certain proclivity for men in kilts.” The only thing she wanted against his kilt was her body. From the rising action going on under the sporran, she imagined he’d meet her sexual requirements, and then some. How well would he fill her? Her inner muscles clenched at the mental image.

His eyes narrowed and his nostrils flared.

“Do you, now?” Colin suppressed the smile on his lips, but it crept into his eyes.

She played with fire, boldly flirting with him. “Yes, I do.” She lifted her chin defiantly and let her smile say...“Try me.”

Witch of Air and Fire by Eliza March (M/M/F)

[image error] Banner created with MyBannerMaker.com

This time of year brings out the kid in all of us. I'm always amazed that one of my best friends who is highly educated, extremely professional, and analytical all year, tries to drag me to every haunted house in the county during the month of October. Her house is decorated with ghoulish severed heads and eeeery music plays when the doorbell rings.

When I was young this was the time of year I looked forward to most. The school parties and the trick or treating were something I anticipated all month. But usually by the time the Halloween arrived I was sick with my first winter bug. I love seeing the little ones in their costumes now. What a collection of choices there are, from super heroes to cars! I remember the year my teenage daughter gathered a group of friends and dressed up as a hundred and one dalmatians. The next year, with a smaller group, they dressed up as dice.

from pumpkinpatchesandmore.org

Now I like this season for another reason. I'm crazzzzy for witches and warlocks. Love the stories and the concepts. Just the words associated with them make me happy. Cauldron is an awesome word. Eye of newt sounds so mysterious. Carved pumpkins lit with candles have taken on a new look. They're almost artistic in variety. (My husband carves a mean pumpkin.)

My paranormal menage, Witch of Air and Fire, isn't your typical witch story. But the heroine is a witch and she does have a sassy familiar. There are also some warlocks...but that's where the similarity stops. This is about a hidden power and an irresistible connection between characters. In the end, you'll ask yourself what is real and what is fantasy.

One week left ...

Across A Crowded Room

Sometimes I write for an adult audience who don't want explicit. When I do, my name is Elizabeth Marchat. There's still plenty of sex and it is still very, very hot, just not as hot as my usual fare and the story is almost epic in coverage. This was a story I wanted to tell from the beginning. The hero is merely fifteen and the heroine eight when the story opens, but this is where the story begins... It's heartbreaking and heartwarming experiencing the growth of the two main characters and watching the mistakes they make along the way. You can only hope as the conflicts rise up to thwart them that they'll learn each lesson in time to keep from getting killed.

Please go to the buy site for excerpts or wander around this blog. I have several available for you.

Bookstrand has the ebook on sale for half price until October 27th. Don't miss your chance to buy this  full length novel at a great price.

Thank you ... I hope you enjoy it.

Erotic Fantasy Ménage a Trois Romance, M/M/F, Shape-Shifters

Mackenzie's ménage fantasy comes to life when she's snowbound with Fantasy Lodge partners, Aaron and Trent. One golden, one surly, the alpha males vie for her attention.

For Mac, the strange sensations, the sexual need, and the awkwardness all make sense when she discovers she's a shape-shifter. Aaron and Trent supported each other through their first metamorphosis, and agree to guide Mac safely through hers.

But when they turn, Were males don't share. Mac must choose between them, or they'll fight to the death. Accepting Mac is meant for both of them, they have one other option. Aaron can submit sexually to Trent, become his submissive. Mac can help them through the sexual boundaries, but what will it do to the men's friendship? Or their ménage relationship?

"What if your ménage fantasy became possible? Two gorgeous hunks, one dark and surly, the other blond and bright, lived to please and sexually fulfill you? What if you burned with passion like a cat in heat and only these two alpha males could satisfy you? What if you found out they were shape-shifters and so were you?" ~ Eliza ~

One Editor's Hot Buttons and Suggestions to Improve Your Writing

In my other life I'm an editor. Don't critique my blog work or the stuff I do on FB. I'm off duty then. But here is an article I posted on my editor blog. You may find something to help you.

Working with your editor...I can't make you believe how important a good editor is unless you've experienced bad editing. I'm reading several free self published books on Amazon and suddenly that point has been made crystal to everyone. I can deal with poor formatting and even a repeated word or two in a good story. What bothers me is when a story has great potential but it's marred with character flaws or plot holes. Critique partners can help or a good content editor.

I'm not a punctuation purest or even a grammatical fanatic. I love Nora Roberts so head hopping, when done well, isn't going to put me off. That being said, what does bother me is... Click HERE for the rest of the article.
