It's official! New WOLFIES on the way

Well…MORE more new wolfies. :D This isn't about the new series starting up September 13, although they are most definitely wolfies- set in the Granite Lake world, yada yada yada…

I signed the contract on Granite Lake Wolves #5 this week. It'll be out in June of 2012, and it's Jared's story. (met in WOLF GAMES)

There are hi-jinx, peeks into what's happening with the other couples, and yes, nookie in a cabin. But with a twist. And that's all I'm going to say about THAT.

I'm pleased to be heading back to the pack that lives in Haines for a visit. I'm thrilled to have the Takhini Wolves out in a month's time, but this will mean a novel and then another novella to look forward to.

And the title?

WOLF LINE

So, so so!  What do you think it's about? Because as you know, all the titles for the Granite Lake books have dual-puns in them related to the storylines. (And if you didn't know that, start thinking them through now–BRAWHAHAHAHAH!)

Everyone who makes a comment with a guess or some kind of appropriate squealing noise will be entered into a giveaway, and on Friday, I'll draw one name to receive an ARC of BLACK GOLD!!

ARWHOOOOOOOOOOoooooooo!!!!!

Bandicoot Cove- counting down!

A wonderful thing about working with a couple friends on a series–we get to share awesome ideas. Look what Lexxie coordinated for us? Pretty sweet, isn't it?

And appropriate, because the three books really do belong together. If you like series books, this is a great way to get a solid dose, with the awesome overlap of relationships between the characters.

I was going to make a Ven graph but my skills are too low. So instead, just the summary for the three books: Paradise Found will be available in TWO weeks!

Paradise Found by Vivian Arend

Paige has accepted the fact that her lovely, no-strings-attached affair with her two Australian lovers must end with her return to Canada. Trent and Mason have a different proposal in mind. And they hope she doesn't run like hell.

Tropical Sin by Lexxie Couper

When McKenzie enlists the help of her BFF, Aiden, to snag an interview with incognito rock star Nick Blackthorne, she thinks it's her ticket out of tabloid journalism. But it could be a ticket to heartbreak.

Island Idyll by Jess Dee

Sienna thought a getaway would help her get over her breakup with Ben. A fling with high school crush, Josh, is just what she needs. Until Ben shows up with a red-hot challenge to help her make an impossible choice.

Warning: Contains drool-worthy heroes entirely focused on their woman's pleasure, a tropical island beach, and a bar. What more do you need?

If you want more information and also excerpts for all three books, here's an easy all-in-one spot: Samhain Bandicoot Cove page.

Getting TURN IT UP ready for print

One the fun tasks of getting the digital-first Samhain books ready for print is doing GALLEYS, where I get one last chance to go through and fix typos, and small word mix ups, because face it, it IS impossible to get them.

I go through my books, my beta readers do, my editor and I do multiple passes looking for everything to fix. A Final Line Editor (FLE or also called a CE- copy editor) looks at it and even before Samhain makes up the ebook formats for the different stores I read it through one more time.

Galleys- the first set I did for Wolf Signs/Wolf Flight antho I had pages of corrections, mainly because I made the writing clearer. Also, because I fixed one anatomical FAIL I had in the book. **whistles innocently**

This time, for TURN IT UP? There were only 6 corrections in the entire book. CHEERS.

Also, I get to send along some reviews that will be included in the front pages of the print book. I want to share this one with you because it made me lol so hard.

Max is quite possibly one of the most swoonworthy heroes I've read about in recent memory.  I am a total sucker for the Hero In Pursuit trope, and Arend really makes it work here.  This can be tricky, since the guy who pines for the heroine from afar (and for years!) can come off as creepy or stalker-ish, but Max is such a fantastic guy that after the first chapter I was ready to remove the Gone Fishin' sign from my uterus and make babies with him.

Wendy- Super Librarian

(the rest of the review is here if you want to read it.)

Snippet from Paradise Found

Since it's coming in  just a few weeks time!!!

———-

AUGUST 23, 2011

Fate is a wind that can change at the drop of a heart.

A Bandicoot Cove Story

Paige has enjoyed every no-strings-attached minute with her two Australian lovers, Trent and Mason. Over the past eleven months, they've surfed, hiked…and explored their seemingly limitless sexual chemistry.

Her lovers' invitation to the opening of a new resort comes at the ideal time, because in a few days she's returning to Canada. It'll be a fitting swan song for their easy-going relationship. A chance to fulfill a few fantasies and then escape before her men realize she's broken the rules by falling in love with them both. Better to take flight than be forced to choose.

Unaware of Paige's self-imposed deadline, Trent and Mason scheme to get Paige on their yacht for a once-in-a-lifetime voyage with one goal in mind: break the news that they're ready for something more than casual—and hope she doesn't run like hell.

It's a delicate operation that'll require close attention to which way her emotional winds are blowing. One wrong word, and their paradise-perfect arrangement could be lost in an instant.

Warning: This book starts with the heat turned way up high. Two men entirely focused on one woman's pleasure. One woman stepping outside the box to please her men. An exotic resort suite featuring an erotic piece of furniture that makes ménage a trois even hotter than usual. Really.

"Done making a fool of yourself, mate?"

Trent raised his middle finger and held it firmly in Mason's direction, smirking as laughter bounced back at him. He gripped the skimboard resolutely, timing his approach. He took a run at the surf, dropped the flat wooden board and stepped on top. The thin layer of water between the board and the sand allowed him to spin lightly in a half circle as he shifted his body weight.

Then he hit something and flipped arse-first to the sand. Again.

This time it wasn't only the sound of Mason's amusement that rang in his ears. There were a couple of long-legged women sunning nearby on the white sands of Bondi Beach. One blonde, one brunette—both smiling admiringly his direction. He pulled himself out of his awkward sprawl and tossed them a wink, rising to dust off the sand.

The women were still watching, and his interest rose. Two of them—that worked, since both he and Mason were without any female companionship at the moment.

"Well done. Still no broken bones." Mason slapped him on the shoulder. "You ready for me to show you how it's really done?"

Trent rolled his eyes and passed over the board. "Drinks on you when you fuck up."

"Deal."

Mason didn't take more than five seconds to eyeball the water before he shouted and raced forward, dancing over the surface as if he had wings on his heels.

Bastard.

After a final flamboyant twirl, Mason snatched up the board and cockily strolled back to Trent's side. "Lessons anytime, mate."

"That offer open to anyone?"

The lightly accented question came from the beachside. The brunette Trent had admired rose to her feet and joined them. Her one-piece suit wasn't the most revealing on the beach, but she had curves in all the right places, and Trent's appreciation was reflected on Mason's face.

Mason made a mock bow. "You brave enough to try?"

Light shrug. "Doesn't look too dangerous. If I fall I'll just get back up." She held out her hand. "Paige Kingston."

"Trent Sullivan." He pointed at his mate. "Mason Wood."

She nodded at Mason, then glanced over her shoulder. "Meg, you want to try?"

The blonde grimaced. "Gad no. You're mad."

Paige turned back to them, muttering "stick in the mud" under her breath.

"Where you from, love?" Mason asked with a grin.

"Canada." She faced him square on. "You going to teach me? I like your technique better than Trent's."

Oh really? Trent eased between them. "All depends what we're doing. I think you'll find I have very good technique."

She lifted her chin and stared him in the eye. The tip of her tongue slipped out to wet her lips, and his dick got hard. "Sounds interesting."

There's more if you want to read the first chapter-ish… Excerpt. Fun, hey? ;)

Back in the saddle

Otherwise known as…yes, we're once again traveling.

Today we cross back from Canada to the US, from Ontario into Michigan and then dip around the great lake to go west until we find Mount Rushmore and the Black Hills. I won't have 3G for a bit, so it's going to be all internet at coffeeshops and Micky D's again. But this is the last leg of the journey, and eventually the blog and everything will be back to full force.

I'm still enjoying the adventure, so that's good. Keep your eyes out for fun spottings of traveling author!

Snippet of fun from WIP

*teasing*

She grabbed his collar, one side in each hand. "Fine. Go drink yourself into a bloody stupor. But this goes two ways. There's something I really want before you run."

Logic flew out the window. It was the last thing she should do and yet it had to be done. She yanked him forward.

Matt was an unmovable wall, but she was strong enough the frantic jerk brought her to the mountain of his body. She lifted her chin and slammed her mouth against his, kissing fiercely. His hands hovered in mid-air for a moment, visible in her peripheral vision before she closed her eyes and simply took what she wanted.

His hands didn't stay unoccupied for long. She was lifted off her feet. The bulk of his muscular body shoved her backward even as his tongue thrust between her lips. Her back hit the wall the same moment he switched from accepting her kisses to consuming her. She couldn't groan, couldn't let out anything but a brief gasp when he ripped his lips from hers and bit her neck, the entire front of his body rammed hard against hers, pinning her in place.

Cover goodness- Rocky Mountain Heat

Coming November 15, 2011 to ebook. Samhain Publishing.

He's the one who taught her to ride. Now all he wants is to ride her.

Six Pack Ranch, Book 1

Blake Coleman is old enough to know that acting on impulse causes nothing but a heap of trouble. But when trouble's a western-hat-wearing blonde with slim legs that go on forever, what's a man to do? Wanting the sweet girl next door is just wrong. The responsible thing to do is keep his hands off.

Jaxi has other plans for Blake's hands, and his heart. She may have once considered him a big brother, but that was a long time ago. She's all grown up now and ready to convince him that she's perfect for him. Except he can't seem to see past the big "don't touch" sign that's apparently still hanging around her neck.

When Jaxi ends up living right under Blake's nose, the undeniable heat between them slides off simmer and leaps up to barn-burning levels. However, a few of the younger six-pack Colemans have decided Jaxi's brand of trouble is worth risking a few busted bones.

That is, if Blake's finally ready to let go the reins and fight for what he wants…

Warning: Sexy cowboys seducing and being seduced in trucks, pool halls and barns. Drool-worthy country charm, a little double-teaming, a few secrets and a whole lot of brothers to look forward to. Anyone wanna go for a ride?

I'll post the buy links as soon as they are available, but in the meantime, the prologue is up on the webpage. Anyone looking forward to the rerelease other than me? :D I added over 20K to the story for you! ;)
