Flashback Friday – Diamond Dust
Send to KindleToday we are flashing back to the RITA-award nominated third title in the Takhini Wolves series: Diamond Dust
Title: Diamond Dust
Heroine: Caroline Bradley is a human who has lived her whole life with shifters. When Tyler asks for her help with the upcoming election, Caroline is hesitant to be another political pawn, but the chemistry between them is off-the-charts.
Hero: Tyler Harrison only wants what is best for the bear shifter population. He doesn’t want Caroline as a companion, but he needs her to win. Too bad his hormones don’t listen whenever Caroline is next to him.
Tidbit: This book has a special place in my heart. Not only did it get nominated for a Rita award, it had a lot of ‘I’m doing it my way’ moments, that when people enjoyed it so much, it really affirmed that I sometimes get it right.
There’s the billionaire bear hero– I HAD to have a salute to all the billionaires flying around the romance world.
There’s the feisty human heroine who simply gives and gives, and fits right into the shifter community.
And there’s that moment that I wondered if I’d gotten too dirty for a wolfie book–but people didn’t seem to mind the game of tag that turns into a hot encounter.
I’m glad people like to read what I love to write!!

Flashback Friday – Rocky Mountain Rebel
Send to KindleToday we are flashing back to Rocky Mountain Rebel, from the Six Pack Ranch series.
Title: Rocky Mountain Rebel
Heroine: Vicki Hansol – Her chance to leave Rocky Mountain House is right at her fingertips, except she will need to learn to conquer her fear of horses before she can escape her past.
Hero: Joel Coleman – Looking to break away from the reputation he has with his twin, Joel is willing to go to any lengths to teach Vicki how to ride, both horses and cowboys.
Tidbit: Every book has it’s challenges, and this one wasn’t anything to do with the romance plot. It was making sure the horse information was correct!
Vicki wants to get over her fear of horses, and goes to Joel for help. I knew exactly how the two of them would fall in love, but there were a lot of horses involved. Luckily, I have good friends in the writing community who helped me get the fine details right– I know horses kind of like I know cars. I can start one up and drive it…
Thank goodness for knowledgeable friends!

Flashback Friday – Wolf Nip
Send to KindleToday we are flashing back to the final book in the Granite Lake Series, Wolf Nip.
Title: Wolf Nip
Heroine: Tessa Williams – Cat shifter looking to create an Eco-tour B&B from the perfect location, except getting the seller to sign the dotted line is harder than she expected.
Hero: Mark Weaver – Wolf shifter who instantly recognizes his mate in Tessa. But the cat wants him to prove himself before she’ll mate with him.
Tidbit: I had to write this book. Everyone of the Granite Lake books has a slight twist on the “fated mates” trope, and this one? Was so much fun to write. Wolves = mates. Cats…not so much. Watching Tessa and Mark twist around each other to find the HEA was :D, especially since I got to include ALL sorts of personality traits that fit their shifted selfs.
Also– the paddle wheeler B&B? Is based on a real “retired” paddle wheeler (Steamer SS Nasookin) near where I lived. Check it out! http://www.angelfire.com/film/nelsonbc/photo.html.

Flashback Friday – Baby, Be Mine
Send to KindleToday we are flashing back to Baby, Be Mine, the bonus story in the Thompson & Sons series.
Title: Baby, Be Mine
Heroine: Katy Thompson – Youngest child and only daughter of the Thompson clan. After an accident, she discovers she’s lost a good chunk of her memory including the identity of her unborn baby’s father.
Hero: Gage Jenick – Best friend to the Thompson family for as long as he can remember. He’s always wanted Katy, and couldn’t resist her the night before he had to leave for six months. Now he’s back and willing to do anything and everything to win Katy’s heart – again.
Tidbit: I think many of you have heard the story how this book came about. It was all twitter’s fault, of course, and Fatin (Mad4rombooks) She posted a beautiful picture of a couple posed under snowy trees- the woman obviously pregnant, the man cradling her in his arms.
HelenKay Dimon and I both tweeted her back: I could write that story.
The next thing I know, HelenKay and I are in Direct Messaging, privately discussing this*.
HK: We need to write these!
Viv: Yes! Pregnant heroines!
HK: Stuck in a cabin.
Viv: ooooh, we’re picking extra tropes? Awesome. I get amnesia.
HK: Dibs on office romance
Viv: Ha! I get best friend’s little sister
(*not exactly our wording, but pretty much what happened)
Which is why I ended up writing Baby, Be Mine (a pregnant heroine with amnesia who’s in love with her big bother’s best friend) and HelenKay wrote Baby, It’s Cold Outside (pregnant heroine, office romance who ends up stuck in a cabin)

Flashback Friday – Rocky Mountain Angel
Send to KindleToday we are flashing back to Rocky Mountain Angel in the Six Pack Ranch series.
Title: Rocky Mountain Angel
Heroine: Allison Parker – After finding out about her mother’s illness, she is willing to go to any lengths for an excuse to move back home, including convince Gabe to be her fake fiance.
Hero: Gabe Coleman – The go-to Coleman cousin who will do just about anything for family and friends, including accept Allison’s crazy proposal.
Tidbit: ANGST! Oh the ANGST!
I think I cried the most of any book while writing this. It was a definite departure from the mostly sexy and limited drama of the first 3 books in the series, but it was the right story for these two.
Also, I love the tattoos in the book. I can see them clearly, and I think so many people do get tattoos to remind them of life changing decisions– butterflies make me smile.

Flashback Friday – High Passion
Send to KindleToday we are flashing back to the second Adrenaline Search & Rescue book, High Passion.
Title: High Passion
Heroine: Alisha – Running from her privileged past, she’s determined to prove to everyone that her search and rescue skills are the best of the best.
Hero: Devon – Ever since their first encounter, he’s been enamored with Alisha. Now he has to prove their relationship can have staying power.
Tidbit: There’s something unique about each of the Adrenaline books. The adventures and rescues are all based on real emergency situations I know of—but the relationship between Devon and Alisha was very much what made this book special for me.
I love enemies to lovers stories, and these two start somewhere between enemies and knowing that they’ve been good for each other. Having them take the final step of falling in love was the most natural thing in the world, and a heck of a lot of fun.

Rocky Mountain Romance – Six Pack Ranch 7
Send to KindleI’m excited to share with you the blurb and cover of Rocky Mountain Romance, book 7 in the Six Pack Ranch series.
Second chances are the sweetest—and the filthiest.
It took a spectacularly embarrassing break-up to knock Steve Moonshine Coleman off his lazy-butt. In the ten months since that night, he’s changed his ways, and now that Melody’s back in town, it’s time for this sweet-talking cowboy to convince her to get back in the saddle with him.
A return to her veterinary position in Rocky Mountain House was always in the cards for Melody Langley. Getting back together with Steve? Never part of the plan. He had lots of potential but zero ambition, and there’s no way she’ll accept anything less than a man who can keep up with her, in and out of bed.
But the new-and-improved cowboy is impossible to resist, so Melody issues a challenge. Three months to prove he’s reformed. Three months of Steve orchestrating one sexual indulgence after another—?wicked distractions from the old boys’ club Melody faces at work and Steve’s growing responsibilities.
He’s got one shot to prove with more than words what’s in his heart and soul.
Warning: Fifty percent less angst, twice as much filthy-talking, dirty-daring cowboy. Get ready for a whole lot of make-your-knees-weak wooing from a man intent on proving he’s got what it takes, and the woman ready to push him way past his limits.

The book will be available for pre-order at Barnes & Noble, Kobo, and iBooks. (Not available for pre-order at Amazon at this time.) If you want to be notified when the book is available: click this link to sign up for my newsletter!
Info about Six Pack Ranch Timeline
Send to KindleI posted a note on Facebook the other day about the timeline within Six Pack Ranch and the Thompson & Sons series and wanted to post it here as well.
Hi all! Here’s an update for Six Pack Ranch. I made a timeline for the two series: SPR and Thompson & Sons so you can see where the books fit together chronologically.
~* Timeline for Six Pack Ranch books & the companion series Thompson & Sons *~
Book 1 – Rocky Mountain Heat – (Did you know it’s FREE??!!)
Book 2 – Rocky Mountain Haven
Book 3 – Rocky Mountain Desire
Book 4 – Rocky Mountain Angel
Book 5 – Rocky Mountain Rebel
Book 6 – Rocky Mountain Freedom
(Thompson & Sons 1) Rocky Ride
(Thompson & Sons 2) One Sexy Ride
Book 7 – Rocky Mountain Romance *Coming October 13
Rocky Retreat (A Six Pack Novella) *
(Thompson & Sons 3) * Let It Ride
(Thompson & Sons 4) * A Wild Ride
Book 8 – Rocky Mountain Shelter *
Book 9 – Rocky Mountain Rogue *
Book 10 – Rocky Mountain Home *
*coming soon
ONE: *hums innocently* Did you notice there’s a COMING SOON date in there? Yup– I think I’ve managed to make Steve behave, and he and his sweetie will be out in OCTOBER!
TWO: the question was asked: Should I read Rocky Ride and One Sexy Ride before the next SPR book, Rocky Mountain Romance? Answer: You don’t have to–Book 7 stands alone (like I try to with all the books) and if you’ve read Freedom (book 6) you WILL know all the major players. BUT, following a normal calendar year, Freedom finished in Sept, Rocky Ride and Baby Be Mine start that September and go until the following June/July. One Sexy Ride goes from June to August–and that’s also when Rocky Mountain Romance takes place. Over that same summer.
Ask any author and they’ll tell you writing books with overlapping timelines are a royal PITA, but I seem to like tormenting myself, and do it all the time!
Do you need to read them in the above order? No, but they will make sense if you do.
THREE: See another fun thing on the list? I’m writing a Six Pack Ranch novella! It should be out in January!
FOUR: Is Jesse getting a story? Answer: Yes. There are (right now) 5 more male Coleman cousins: Jesse (Six Pack), Steve, Trevor & Lee (Moonshine) and Raphael (Angel) I’m planning on finishing both the Thompson & Sons (Clay & Troy to go) and the SPR series over the rest of 2014 and 2015.
FIVE: Yes, but is Jesse getting a story SOON? Answer: Book 6 is Steve’s. Jesse is in the book, but he’s still got growing up to do.
Does that help? I hope!
There WILL be pre-order for Rocky Mountain Romance at B&N, Kobo and iBooks. There will NOT be pre-order at Amazon at this time. So if you want a heads up when it’s available, make sure you’re signed up for my newsletter!

New Covers!
Send to KindleWell, it appears that while sexy, our last covers weren’t “appropriate” for some sites. *COUGHManChestCOUGH*
So…we went looking for ideas and think this is perfect!! So, yes, the DreamMakers series got yet another cover makeover. I think this one will stick!
What do you think?
Flashback Friday – Whirlpool
Send to KindleToday we are flashing back to Whirlpool, the second book in the Forces of Nature series.
Title: Whirlpool
Heroine: Chelsea – Merfolk female stuck in her hometown when her college plans fall through. Despite her attraction to the human Jamie, she is head-over-heels for fellow merfolk Braden, and determine to make him hers.
Hero: Braden – Local merfolk sheriff who lusts after Chelsea, but is convinced he can’t have her. Getting to share her with Jamie is the icing on the cake.
Jamie – Human archaeologist who knows nothing of the merfolk, but finds himself instantly attracted to Chelsea, AND the town sheriff.
Tidbit: Ahhh, so many cool memories about this story. The two that really come to mind are that I remember contacting a friend writer who’d written books with archaeology in them, to check some details. Turns out she’s not just a great writer, but the head of an actual archaeological department at a big university. Having someone THAT knowledgeable help me out was so fabulous.
And the other cool thing about Whirlpool was it was the first book I wrote with boy touching in it. Yes, this is a mmf story, which is simply what the characters and settings called for. I loved writing it, and I’m very glad that I got to introduce readers to my sexy sexy merfolk.
