SOLD!

Coming 2010 It was too early in the morning for me to be able to squeal properly yesterday when I got the email.

Wolf Games, Bk 3 in the Granite Lake Wolves, has been contracted with Samhain Publishing. No release date yet, but it should be early 2010.

I'm very pleased with this sale, because Wolf Games turned out to be a good lesson in writing. After I got over trying all sort of new methods, I just wrote and let them tell their story. It's once again set in the Yukon, and the story traverses parts of...

Three weeks to go

It's three weeks now until Wolf Flight releases.

I'm working on a little contest, and hope to have some news for you soon. I loved the cowboys countdown, but since sexy pictures of wolves just don't have the same impact…

:)

Enjoy your day, and pssst… if you noticed, I've got just about to the 25% mark on Bk#2 in the cowboys. (The progress bar is off to the right) Hoping for 50% by the end of the weekend!

Yeha! Send me good wishes.

New Release from Lila Dubois

Hunting Passions - Click for large version

Have to share this book. I've been waiting for the release!!

Hunting Passions

Long ago, the Lord of Eahrington gave sanctuary to two clans of shapeshifters: were-wolves and were-falcons. In payment for this protection, each clan sent one of their young to the Lord as tribute, a tradition that continued through the generations to this day. But William, the newest Lord of Eahrington, a modern man living a medieval life, distrusts shapeshifters, and as far as he's concerned, his intended "Hunting ...

Monday, Monday

Wow, this is nice. **looks around at shiny bright website**

I don't know about you but I used to go through spurts as a teen where I would want to rearrange my room. I'd take everything off the floor and put it on the bed and then rearrange and organize and…okay, so OCD is a long running occurrence for me. But there is something special about  a new start.

That's what this feels like. A clean new start.

This past weekend I got out with a friend for a writer's retreat. I polished one manuscript s...

Snippet Saturday

We're back to dialogue. I picked a scene from Rocky Mountain Heat that while there's a little action, the main point of the story is definitely carried in the dialogue. I could totally see this scene while I wrote it, BTW. For anyone's who's ever hung out in the back of barn and listened to people fooling around. (I can't be the ONLY person!)

Jaxi and Travis were necking in the tack room and from the sounds of it, things were getting hot and heavy. He d...

Heat Wave Goes Live!

BIG NEWS!!

I promised, here it comes. :)

When I signed my first contract just over a year ago I flapped around for a while and then slowly started to figure this business out. Slowly. That's what happens when a piano falls on your head, it takes a while to shake off the shock and get rolling.

I started a blog. I set up a website. I joined the Samhain Cafe and started to chat with people. I deliberately didn't set up a yahoo group. Partly because I figured who in the world would want to hang out w...

Tuesday Tidbit

I've been busy writing wolves, so thought I'd just go back and do a little shot out of the first book in the series. Wolf Signs.

We're fast approaching the release of book two! I'm getting excited…

_________

Oh, lordy, she wanted to be naked with him.

That was really, really not her.

She'd reached twenty-six years old with limited sexual experience. Whether it was because Tad was overprotective or because her deafness made her too unattractive to warrant more exploration, she'd never worried...

Some awesome reviews

Time for a little more fun. A few reviews for Rocky Mountain Heat AND a really cool one for the cover. April Martinez did a fabulous job with the cover, getting in everything I asked for. The rest of the review can be reached by clicking the links.

Seductive Musings:
I just love the cover of Rocky Mountain Heat from Vivian Arend's Six Pack Ranch series. While some covers are just nice to look at like this one is, I think it also conveys what the book is about too. For me that is the ultimate...

Snippet Saturday- First Paragraph

First Impressions. First Paragraphs.

In a twist on the theme, I thought I'd show the progress from what WAS the first paragraph to what it ended up being. I'm an obsessive draft saver as I write. At the end of a story I will have dozens of the manuscript saved, and each time things get tweaked more and more.

From the Book 2 in the Granite Lake Wolves, coming October 27th. Wolf Flight.

Version #1- started two years before the real story...
