Bonn Turkington is the author and creator of Disparia books. With a love for literature, video games, movies, comics, and anything else with a good story and clever writing, Bonn draws inspiration from just about everything. While the heart of the question is about things specifically in my daily life that I can't answer, mysteries of the broader world are also part of my life. From the truth about aliens to the question about Bigfoot's existence, I love the grand folktales and fables that have become part of my culture and various cultures throughout the world.
While I don't exactly go out to see if Bigfoot is real and I have yet to go boating on Loch Ness, that doesn't mean they aren't part of my life in some way.
So to answer the question-I can't answer whether or not aliens are real, Bigfoot is real, the Loch Ness monster is real, and likely neither will you. But you and I can both think about those things and be affected by them personally.
While it might not be the plot for an entire book, I like to explore how people perceive and interact with the mysteries of nature on a personal level. Characters in my stories have and will to varying degrees be interested or obsessed with the mysteries around them, and that will shape future books and works.
A plot is shaped by the characters in a story, and those characters are shaped by thy mysteries around them. I love exploring what people believe and what their personal mysteries are and how it affects their behavior. So while it might not be a personal mystery as such, the mysteries of life I find interesting are subjects my characters explore, and those mysteries help shape plots of all my stories.(less)
