New Zealand – Auckland to Wellington, via Hamilton

It’s interesting to experience something that you think you know, intellectually, only to find the reality much more powerful than the abstract knowledge. I KNEW New Zealand was a very different country to Australia, but I didn’t realise how much until I got here.

First – it’s so green! I’m not sure I’ve seen such a plentitude of green since I was living in the tropics. Certainly hasn’t been this green around Canberra for a couple of decades now.

Au Contraire – a report

So, my first international convention turned out to be a lovely experience. The MC (Daphne) promised us at the beginning that they were going to deliver a different NZ Natcon. I can’t speak to whether they did, as I’ve not attended other NZ Natcons, but it seemed to go extremely smoothly, there was lots of intriguing things happening and it was all done with a con com of just five (which freaked me out – also inspired me, which is a worry…)

So I've got two conventions over the next couple of weeks and a whole lotta panels and workshops and so on that I'm involved with. So here (pending last minute changes) are my roles.
