Impossible! But I'll just list the last three things I liked, and maybe that will help.

-Jeff VanderMeer's Southern Reach trilogy. Only the first 2 books are out so far, but they're delightfully creepy.

-Kate Griffin's Matthew Swift series. Modern-day fantasy set in London, about an "urban sorcerer" and his existentialist adventures. Hilarious, marvelously-written, wonderfully imaginative.

-Kate Elliott's Spiritwalker series. Complete gonzo fantasy -- swashbuckling heroines punching sharks and chasing love through two worlds (one of which is an AU Earth in which Africans colonized Europe) with dragons, the Wild Hunt, and dinosaurs. (less)

That's a hefty hike, across GLASS-COVERED JAGGED GROUND THAT IS STILL HOT FROM AN ERUPTION DECADES AGO. I could've gotten really hurt. :) Don't do that. :)

But fortunately I was fine, and I even stopped to toast some spam sushi over a heat vent for a delicious geothermally-warmed lunch.(less)

Text of my Grand Master speech

I got an award for it at the Nebula Conference this past weekend, but I couldn’t fit it in my luggage so hopefully it will arrive soon. Here’s the draft version of my accetance speech. I made some handwritten edits while waiting for the banquet to start, so what I said
