The day you were born I laughed with joy. Finally I knew what I wanted to be when I grew up!

Ars Longa, Vita Brevis
Dear GoD,
We think that dogs are works of art. May we be so bold as to say, one of your finest masterpieces. Ars Longa, Lord. We are not so pleased with the Vita Brevis.

Rescue Me!
At the end of 2011 we brought Tiffin into our home as a foster.
We failed miserably and he was adopted in January, 2012.
Sleepy Tiffin
Also in January, we somehow aquired LOTS of finches. I always wanted Gouldians and I found a bunch who needed a home. Three Society Finches came with them.
Still mourning the loss of my Rudy Dachshund, a Wirehair Dachshund mix joined us a few months later. Audrey is from Fuzzy Faces Rescue of the Northern Neck.

Suckers that we are, when a mean ass Senegal parrot needed a home, STAT, we adopted her.

Shrek and Fiona.
Have we done enough? Oh no, my friends, so long as there are homeless, unwanted, overbred, unloved companion animals out there, we have not.
Heaven only knows what 2013 may bring!

2012 in review
The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 7,400 views in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 12 years to get that many views.
Click here to see the complete report.
Thanks for reading what I blog!
