You could write so much just based on the tweets!

There are also so many resources online for writing prompts. One I would recommend is: https://www.writersdigest.com/editor-...

If writing just isn't happening, step away from the computer. More importantly, get outside! I mean literally, go outdoors. Go for a walk, go for a hike, or volunteer to get outside of your own head and do some good in the world. When the time is right, an idea will come to you!(less)

For instance, why do leaves change color before they fall? What do my pets do all day while I'm at work? All that stuff is material for art. Go for it! (less)

“So I try to use old words, inherited from generation
after generation, and try to make them say new things
as if there was never love before us
on this earth, as if every day we’re not drinking
and breathing the molecules of long-dead lovers
who thought they, too, had invented love,
who felt these same tensions and betrayals
and tried to use old words to describe these hopes
and glories of the flesh and mind, and failed
as I have, to say the thing anew.

John Hi Shaindel,

You poem "Cicadas" is FANTASTIC! First of all, I loved the sound of the words...and because of your poem I was introduced to the wonderful sounding word: viburnum.

And when I read it again, I appreciated your take on the concept of time...

Thanks for sharing your writing!

Kirk Thanks for the add! Cool to see you were reading Dubus....

Jeremy I want to apologize for the all the recommendations from me today. I wanted to share the Stoker Award news, and I only pressed the send button once--I'm not sure what happened.

Argh...this is terrible...

Again, I'm very sorry.

Jeremy Hi Shaindel!

Here’s wishing you a nifty New Year filled with noiseless noses, neato nicknames, noble Nebraskans, gnarly narcoleptic nebulas, and novel novels about nut-eating narwhals and novercaphobic gnats.

-Jeremy :)

P.S.—I’m currently offering autographed/personally-inscribed copies of my novel, Vacation, with free shipping for those in the US. If there’s anything you could do to help me spread the word about this, I’d really appreciate it. Feel free to click here for details:
