That’s Not Who We Are
I was disappointed that Jon Ossoff wasn’t able to pull off an upset in Georgia last night. I would’ve very much liked to have seen a rebuke to Trumpism.
In terms of his campaigning, I think the Democratic party is still suffering from some denial that this Trump thing is actually happening. I think Dems need to drop the strategy of just counting on people being better than they are.
The strategy of, this can’t be happening, this can’t have happened, this can’t continue to happen, it just can’t.
This is happening, it will be happening for some time, it has happened throughout history. We need to forget “That’s Not Who We Are” and deal with what we am.

So many of us though, have had the experience of thinking for a moment we’ve got it all figured out, only to have the foundations completely shift beneath our feet.

Outside of what comics I read for the podcast, I’ve mainly been on a book-book bender for the past year or so. I’m about to start Book II of The Last Policeman Trilogy, which I expect I’ll have finished by the time Zack and I get to talking, so you’ll be able to hear what I think of that, and also about how much I enjoyed the Wonder Woman movie.
