The Wrong Side of History
Attitudes towards things we thought...
Attitudes towards things we thought would never change suddenly did. I want guns to be next.
The great tragedy of our time is that somewhere along the way guns got associated with “freedom” and then more and more guns got associated with “more and more freedom”.
The “guns are just an inanimate object!” crowd are the very ones who refuse to treat it as such: an inanimate object that people can use to inflict great harm, the purchase of which ought to be much more well regulated.

Wait, are we arguing? Is your “argument” that I shouldn’t think it’s batshit insane for people to walk around with rifles because “cops”? I should feel safe around people with guns because “deal with it”?
Criminals don’t open carry, and if they did they would be pretty stupid. Law abiding citizens, you know, the ones that DON’T commit crimes, open carry. I didn’t think I would need to explain that, but people like yourself don’t understand logic, so it needs to be explained carefully enough.

A horrible thing has happened, and the same old tired arguments...
A horrible thing has happened, and the same old tired arguments about why we can’t do a thing about it are trotted right back out.
We’re the country that pours more and more unregulated military grade weaponry into the hands of our citizens, and then we’re the country that experiences bloodier and bloodier mass shootings, and then we’re the country that has the dopey debate about whether the two are correlated.
