The Marilu.com Family
Everywhere you turn this month you’ll hear a variation on the THANKFULNESS theme. Too much of a good thing can be a REALLY good thing! We’re all about positivity here at Marilu.com and we’re joining in.
We are thankful for our members and the way that people have followed Marilu’s lead to support one another in real life. Marilu has not only supplied carefully researched and tested information and maintained a forum for sharing but she is the first one to step up when someone has specific questions and needs.
Recently a few of our members got together in New Hope Pennsylvania to have lunch with Marilu and her family and attend a performance of The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife at the Buck’s County Playhouse.
Here’s a “family portrait” from that afternoon.
Be a part of our next get together. Stay in touch here at Marilu.com !!

Who doesn’t love an extra hour of time? What will you do with that hour? Join us in The Lounge (in the member’s area here at Marilu.com) and tell us how you make every minute count !

TRICK OR TREAT….advice from Marilu !
Tomorrow is Halloween and we want to remind everyone to stay safe. Check that your kids have good visibility and that they can be seen after dark. (Witches and bats need some reflective tape.) Know the neighborhood and supervise young children. Check out HEALTHY HOLIDAYS for great recipes and party ideas that can help you and your kids avoid facing Friday with a sugar hangover. Their teachers will thank you !
Read this advice from Marilu, written when her boys were at the perfect age to enjoy the trick or treat fun….and then relax and enjoy!
“When my sons and I get home, we sort through their trick-or-treat bags. You probably think I pat them down for hidden Snickers bars and Reese’s Pieces while playing the soundtrack of Midnight Express. But, no, I’m not that bad. I let them have some candy, but they swap most of it for little toys or healthy candy that I buy ahead of time. I know from my own kids’ experience that it’s spending time with other kids, showing off your costume, and seeing what people give you that makes it special, not the candy.”

LIST IT
With November right around the corner it’s not too soon to make a to-do list of all the things you want to get a jump on before the holidays hit! You don’t even have to act on anything yet. Just get it out there. Put reminders on your phone or go old school with paper and pen.
Organizing your thoughts, along with the physical action of making notes, will make you more likely to keep your schedule manageable. If you’ve just written out your gift list it will be in the forefront of your thoughts when you’re in the store and see exactly the right thing for someone special. Or you’ve just reminded yourself that you need a serving platter so you’ll have time to pick one up when you see the perfect size and color, or a good price, instead of having to run out at the last minute and having fewer options.
Add one final item to your list: Join Marilu.com and let Marilu and her coaches help you with your holiday planning this year !

FIX IT
It’s the weekend and for a lot of us that means a few cheats. For others it’s a full on party with a lot of Monday morning regrets.
Here’s a list from a recent airing of THE MARILU HENNER SHOW. This is Marilu’s fix-it list. Some of these sound counter-intuitive but trust us…they really work !!
If you’ve had:
too many carbs ——-> eat an apple
too much protein ——-> eat papaya
too much salt ————> eat watermelon
too much sugar ———–> eat grapes
You can hear more information like this every weekday from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) when Marilu discusses life through the prism of health.
Call during the live airing to be part of the conversation or listen on continuous loop throughout the day.
