Surfer Werewolves in Cornwall #TheRedcliffeNovels

He left with a brief nod to Danny and Simon. When the door closed behind him, I looked at the two wolves standing in my kitchen. Both looked like stereotypical surfer dudes. Danny was wearing khaki trousers with a bright yellow t-shirt that had a crazy abstract print on it. Simon was wearing black baggy shorts with a green t-shirt. His blonde hair fell in unruly waves around his face, and his sunglasses were hooked into the front of the t-shirt. I hadn’t even noticed the sun shining outside, although I did feel the unusual warmth of this early autumn day.

“Ok,” I said with a sigh, “Shall we go and watch TV like normal people?”

A Vampire Reunion in Cornwall, England

 “Marcus Scott,” Amelia said in her smooth, seductive voice, “It has been too long.” And she embraced him in a passionate kiss, right there in the crowded bar.

Jessica stared wide-eyed at Danny, both rigid with anger and agitation. Amelia broke abruptly away from Marcus, stared deep into his eyes, and whispered something in his ear. He smiled and nodded, and then his expression changed. He pushed Amelia away from him and stood straighter, glancing round at the curious faces nearby. One glare from Marcus was enough to turn people’s attention back to their own groups. Danny cleared his throat.
“You are Amelia Richmond.” he said in a flat tone.
She turned to stare at him, her smile showing an arrogant disdain. “Yes, I am,” she replied, looking Danny up and down, “And you are the allegedly immortal werewolf. Your reputation has grown widespread.”
Danny nodded, apparently unsurprised.
“Why are you here?” he asked.

My Vampire Boyfriend (A Redcliffe Anthology) by Catherine Green

After a while we lay cuddled together on the beach. The sand was cold, hardly a tropical oasis, but it was still beautiful. Jack went to fetch a picnic from the boat, and he returned with a cool box full of food, a bottle of red wine, and a blanket for us to sit on. We shared a very normal, very human lunch, although Jack only drank the wine. He watched me eat, and we chatted about mundane things. I finally began to relax, and I felt my shoulders loosen just a little. I snuggled against his strong body, inhaling his scent, stroking his bare arm with my fingertips as I lay on my side with one arm flung across his chest.

“Do you remember what it was like,” I asked, “To be human?”
