2013 Writing Schedule

I've set my writing schedule for the rest of the year and I intend to stick to it if it kills me. It might! It's hard for someone like me to stick to a schedule but damn it, I'm going to do it now. And I talked to my crit partner Ava March and she said she's going to make me stick to it.

So, basically here it is:

Needing Seth - my current WIP which should be done by the middle of February. This is already promised to Amber Quill and will release in April.

Irresistible - Half finished, I intend to have this finished some time in March and will send it off for publication when the time comes. Stay tuned.

The bulk of the remainder of the year will be spent on my trilogy, Gay Club 1, Gay Club 2, and Gay Club 3. No titles yet but they all have heroes planned and I have partially written number 1. I'll try to have them all finished this year but not sure if I can manage it, it will depend on how long each one is, and how long it takes me to write them.

And finally, due December 01, for Amber Qull, is Tempted to Taste , part of a Foodie pax. I don't think it has a title yet, the pax that is.

I don't think I can manage any more than that. And I already have a release in January, February, March and April (Needing Seth) so I think that's pretty good.

Updates

Loving the Boss is no longer featured and on sale at Evernight, so I hope you got yours when you could.

In other news, I've sold another Romance on the Go story to Evernight, Figuring it Out , which will be out the beginning of March. It's not related to the Loving series.

Next up for releases is Admiring Jesse , my Valentine's Day story with Amber Quill. I am currently writing a sort of related story to that called Needing Seth . Seth is a secondary character in Admiring Jesse and for some reason I decided Seth needed his own happy ending. If all goes well I'm thinking it will be out in April.

I am also still working on my Regency romance of a Lord and his butler called Irresistible . And also on the first of my trilogy of stories that I still have no title for. Busy, busy. So as soon as I have more news I'll let you know.

Gratefully His Contest

It has occured to me I have a short story coming out this weekend (January 06)  from Amber Allure

When Sebastian Walton was sixteen, he got his first kiss from a guy, and that guy was his best friend's older brother, Pablo Rivera. But after the scorching kiss in the Rivera's swimming pool, Pablo acted like nothing happened between them.

Six years later, Sebastian is close to graduating from college and poised to achieve his dream of going to medical school. During a semester break, he visits his old neighborhood and the Riveras, where openly gay Pablo, now a police officer, is sexier than ever and determined to win Sebastian for good...If you want to read the excerpt check it out here: Gratefully His  You know the drill, I am giving away ONE copy to ONE lucky winner. Leave a comment to be entered. PLEASE REMEMBER TO LEAVE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS OR I CANNOT CONTACT YOU. Contest ends Saturday January 05 at 6:00 PM Eastern time.

Reflecting on 2012

As we end 2012 it's time for me to reflect where the writing world has taken me this year.

This year I released the following stories:

Amber Quill

Eternally His
Finally His
Finding Forever
Maybe This Time
Waking the Prince

Loose ID

One More Time

Evernight Publishing

Getting Wade (part of the Manlove antho)
Loving the Boss
Loving the Assistant
Loving the Partner

MLR Press

There's No Place Like Home for the Holidays

I believe that brings the total for this year to 11 stories.

As for 2013, I currently have Gratefully His scheduled for January and Admiring Jesse scheduled for February. Both are are from Amber Quill. I am working on Irresistible and should have that off to a publisher sometime in January. Than I am working on an as yet untitled story that is the first of a trilogy. 2012 was a good year for me writing wise and I hope readers enjoyed my stories. Here's to an equally productive and fun 2013.

The Next Big Thing Blog Hop - Irresistible

I’ve been tagged by the marvelous Ava March to participate in the Next Big Thing blog hop (click HERE to check out her post). The idea is to answer 10 questions about your current WIP (work in process). There’s no giveaway or anything-it’s just a spot of fun to talk about what’s in process or coming soon. So here I go.
1. What is the working title of your book?
Irresistible
2. Where did the idea for the story come from for the book?
Just my head. I’ve been wanting to write a story about a love affair between a lord and his butler for a few years and it’s hard to write such a story as a contemporary so I went back to my first love of historicals. I’ve found my voice is generally more suited to contemporaries but I’m happy to be writing this story.
3. What is the genre of the book?
Regency-set M/M erotic romance
4. Which actors would you choose to play your characters for a movie rendition?
I honestly can’t think of a single actor who would be good for Lord Christian, but this picture above has inspired me and this is what he looks like in my head. As for James Harrington, my butler and MC, I picture a more ruggedly handsome type, Hugh Jackman from Kate and Leopold or Dylan McDermott.
5. What is the one sentence synopsis of your book?
I don’t really do these very well. So I think I will skip this question. Sorry!
6. Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency/publisher?
A publisher
7. How long did it take you to write the first draft of your book?
I am still working on it. I’ve probably been working on it about a month now but I often write on different stories at once.
8. What other books would you compare this to within your genre?
I try not to compare myself and my books with others.
9. Who or what inspired you to write this book?
I already answered this above for number 2
10. What else about the reader might pique the reader’s interest?
Oh heavens, I don’t know. Maybe knowing that during the day Harrington is the employee who must know his place but at night he can drive Lord Christian to nearly unbearable levels of ecstasy.
****
Not sure who else to tag. So, I will try to tag my old friend, Devon Rhodes, though I haven’t talked to her in ages!
