I wrote this book based on what I learned when I managed a team of high performing people. At first I thought I knew how to hire the best people.

Over time, the company grew, I was promoted and my team was transferred to new managers. I watched as my high-performing team started to fall. That was when I realized that it wasn't who I hired that made a difference, it was what I did with them after I hired them that mattered.


I help the owners of privately-held businesses to sleep well at night knowing that their employees are doing what they are supposed to be doing even when no one is looking.

I help companies to identify their values and build them into their strategic plan


Aloha is an amazing word. It means both hello and goodbye. And it is the essence of my message today as I am saying goodbye to Jett Excellence and hello to Red Knight.

The journey through this change has been bittersweet. It saddens me to leave behind the Jett Excellence brand that I have created and grown over the last 10 years. And yet, there is much more joy than sadness.
