New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Teresa Reasor was born in Southeastern Kentucky, but grew up a Marine Corps brat. The love of reading instilled in her in Kindergarten at Parris Island, South Carolina made books her friends during the many transfers her father's military career entailed. The transition from reading to writing came easily to her and she penned her first book in second grade. But it wasn’t until 2007 that her first published work was released.

After twenty-one years as an Art Teacher and ten years as a part time College Instructor, she’s now retired and living her dream as a full time Writer.

Her body of work includes both full-length novels and shorter pieces in many different genres, Military Romantic Suspense

It's a fantastic thing to wake up every morning eager to get to work. That's how I feel every day. I'm so blessed to be able to do what I've dreamed of doing since second grade. (less)

Both characters are very strong and the conflict between them ebbs, flows and crashes all through the book. The time frame is the Civil War and the period afterward. We have very few books set in that time frame published today... don't understand why because it is a period ripe with conflict.
My second couple is Dallas and Roark in Nora Roberts in Death Series. They've been a couple through 44 books, soon to be 45 and Roberts is allowing Dallas to evolve and grow the longer the couple are together, as she should. In the latest book I read, Echoes in Death, there's a burgeoning openness growing in Dallas's character. She's learned to trust and is building a closer and closer relationship with Roark certainly, but also the group of associates who are also friends-family. She's accepting the concept that needing comfort and support isn't a weakness. Her conflict with Summerset has turned into a game and she always asks where he's at if he isn't present and there's a deeper concern there. Though the romance in the In Death series is secondary to the mystery-suspense plot lines in the book, it is still and integral part of each story and it's been entertaining to watch the characters evolve, not just Roark and Dallas but the others as well. Writing Through

I thought I could write through anything. I used to turn to my writing to work through anger, frustration, and sadness. I wrote through disappointment, exhaustion, and loneliness. I wrote to remove myself from physical and emotional situations I couldn't escape. I had a very stressful job when I was first published, and my writing was my haven.

But I couldn't write through the grief, an

“I don’t really care if their parents are same sex, lesbian or gay, straight, married, cohabitating, divorced, bi-racial or what. If they love and take care of them, which is basically what all children need and want, I don’t think it matters.
-- Breaking Through (Military Romantic Suspense) (Book 2 of the SEAL TEAM Heartbreakers)”
Teresa Reasor

“We send you to awful places and ask you to do things, terrible, painful, necessary things, and then we ask you not to think about it, remember it, or internalize any of it. We ask the impossible.”
Teresa Reasor, Breaking Free

“You’ve done hard before. If it came easy, it wouldn’t mean as much.
-- reaking Free (Military Romantic Suspense) (Book 1 of the SEAL TEAM Heartbreakers)”
