Sapphire Eyes
Hey everyone, Happy Monday!
Sapphire Eyes release in three days and if you haven't added it to your self go out there now!
I have included some teasers below.
1st blurb of Sapphire Eyes
Trying to gather my nerves, I walk up to the door. It’s large, and it looks to be made out of steel. I try to turn the handle, but it’s locked. I knock twice, waiting for someone to answer the door. I take in the surroundings. If it wasn’t for the flashy cars in the front of the building, it would appear to be an abandoned building.
When the door swings open, a very large man with blond hair, and the most hypnotizing blue eyes stands in the doorway. I take a step back. To say he intimidates me is an understatement.
He’s wearing a cobalt-blue dress shirt, rolled up on his forearms. The color makes his sapphire eyes shine bright. I take in his body. The rippling muscles on his arms, the strong jawline he possesses, and the tattoos that crawl up under the sleeves of his shirt and peek out of his collar. The man screams badass.
He scans me from the toe of my shoes to the top of my head, and when his eyes come back to meet mine, he gives me a wicked grin. He has to be the most breathtaking man. I have had the pleasure of sharing the same space with.
I’m barely able to get the words out. “I’m here to see Liz Black.”
His tongue darts out, licking his lips, and then his teeth slowly pull in his bottom lip. I try my best not to seem effected by his good looks, but it appears the cocky bastard notices how much he has affected me. My attention is tuned in to how long and thick his tongue is. Holy Mother Teresa, my mind is in overdrive as to what he could do with that weapon.
“Blaze,” he says with a silky voice.
“Blaze?” I say with a wrinkle between my brows.
The god says, “My name is Blaze.”
2nd blurp of Sapphire Eyes.
When I park the car at Red, I look in the rearview mirror. Rose has her lips drawn tight, her face is red, and she has been staring out of the window since we left her apartment. I told her to grab the backseat so Lilly could sit in the front. Lilly has been talking nonstop. I’ve laughed at a few things, but to tell the truth, I haven’t been listening. The whole ride, my mind was on Rose. I stole glances back and forth between the road and Rose in the rearview mirror.
When we make our way into the club, Lilly looks around in utter shock. Rose is staring at her sister; I can see a battling expression on her face.
“Lilly, let’s grab a drink while Rose gets herself together for her shift.”
I try to help out the pain on Rose’s face. I imagine Rose hasn’t had a discussion with Lilly about what type of bar she works at.
Lilly and I are sitting at the bar. I order a whiskey and Lilly a Coke. When our drinks are placed in front of us, we hear a scream from the back room.
“Fuck!” I yell.
I bolt off my barstool, running at high speed across the floor to get to the locker room. I know Rose just went back there to put her things up. I’m stricken with worry. My chest hurts from the pounding my heart is giving it. I yank the ladies locker room door open, pulling the handle off, throwing it on the floor.
I mutter, “Piece of shit.”
When the door opens, Rose jumps into my arms. Her body is trembling. She’s crying, and I’m wondering what the hell is wrong. I pull her back to inspect her body to make sure she’s not harmed.
