Eliza Lentzski: A Sapphic Fiction February Interview

Eliza ‘Ice Cream’ Lentzski – which is what I may accidentally call her forever now I’ve seen what she says in this interview – is a multi-talented and very accomplished author with more than twenty books (and lots of fanfiction) out in the world. I was delighted when she agreed to let me interview her, and I’m sure you’ll love reading what she’s got to say. So take it away, Eliza…

Tell us a little more about you! Who are you and what do you do?

I am an upper midwesterner living in New England. ...

Jay Wright Tompkins: A Sapphic Fiction February Interview

I am honoured to present to you Jay Wright Tompkins, whose debut novel ,Voyager was released just last month. With an intriguing premise and an absolutely stunning cover, I was immediately hooked, and everything that Jay told me in their interview below only served to amplify this! Make sure to go and boost their novel… after you’ve read the interview, of course!

Jay, tell us a little about yourself! Who are you and what do you do?

I am an indie sci-fi writer from West Virginia.

How did you be...

SD Simper: A Sapphic Fiction February Interview

Those of you who are die-hard SD Simper fans may notice that the book cover featured in this post is not one you recognise. That’s because it’s not released yet! Eve of Endless Night is coming soon and doesn’t it look exciting?

For now, however, check out the rest of SD’s books, and her interview below!

Hey SD - tell us a little more about yourself! Who are you and what do you do?

Hello! I'm SD Simper, and I write sapphic fantasy, horror, and romance, usually focused on monster (or at least n...

Miranda Mundt: A Sapphic Fiction February Interview

By now, if you’ve been following Sapphic Fiction February, you’ve probably noticed I like to ask about authors’ ideal ice cream sundaes. I have to say, Miranda Mundt’s astonished me. Clearly, where they’re from in Seattle, there’s far more variety than there is here in England…

Whoops. Got distracted talking about food. Anyway – here’s their interview, all about their writing and designing!

Hey Miranda - tell us a little more about yourself! Who are you and what do you do?

I am a queer artist ...

Merlina Garance: A Sapphic Fiction February Interview

It hasn’t been all that long since Merlina Garance actually appeared on Katherine’s Corner! Last November she wrote ,a wonderful article about why they include angst as part of their plots, which really spoke to me as I do the same, for similar reasons. I jumped at the chance to have her as part of Sapphic Fiction February, because she is a beautiful writer and an all-around amazing human being. So make sure to check out their books – you won’t regret it!

Merlina, tell us a little bit about you...

Nicole Pyland: A Sapphic Fiction February Interview

I was very excited when Nicole agreed to this interview, because she is an absolute powerhouse of an author. As you will see when you read her interview, she quite simply cannot be stopped, and writes novels in her spare time when she’s not completing degrees or working a full-time job. Anyone who writes AND works full-time has my undying admiration, but to write so many books? Over fifty in seven years? I was astounded, reading Nicole’s answers to my questions. Make sure to support her by check...

Carrie Byrd: A Sapphic Fiction February Interview

Like wife, like wife!

Those of you who followed last year’s Sapphic Fiction February will remember I ,interviewed Roslyn Sinclair . This year, I have interviewed her wife, the lovely Carrie Byrd! Carrie’s debut novel (Loser of the Year) is out this summer, and what better way to plug the hell out of it than with an interview?

So take it away, Carrie! Tell us more about yourself: who are you and what do you do?

Put “former theatre kid,” “recovering perfectionist,” “constantly restless,” and “fi...

Elizabeth James: A Sapphic Fiction February Interview

I have to say, I gave a wry smile when I saw the name of Elizabeth James’ ode to LGBTQ+ fertility and pregnancy. The title of ‘ ,The Turkey Baster Diaries ’ is a nod to the myth that female couples use turkey basters as a quick way to conceive, when in fact the opposite could not be more true! I really enjoyed interviewing Elizabeth for this event – thank you for joining me, Elizabeth!

So let's start with you telling us a little more about yourself. Who are you and what do you do?

I'm a researche...

J.S. Frankel: A Sapphic Fiction February Interview

J.S. Frankel made me laugh before I’d even gotten around to reading what he had to say in this interview. My first question on the Google Form with the questions on was ‘who are you?’ – a fair question, given that thirty-odd authors were going to be using it. J.S. replied, ‘a human being, hopefully’, which tickled me. Luckily, he also clarified who he really was, otherwise we may have had an issue, especially with how great his answers were. Read to the end to find out just how much he’s putting...

Kristen Zimmer: A Sapphic Fiction February Interview

You call her Kristen Zimmer, I call her my fiancée. Well, virtual fiancée. It’s a long-standing inside joke that she and I will be getting married at some stage (long story), despite living some 3,000 miles apart. And of course, who can forget that she is an incredibly talented writer as well as a very sweet human being? What better day to feature my virtual fiancée than Valentines Day?

Okay then Kristen - tell us a little bit about you! Who are you and what do you do?

I’m Kristen. I write book...
