I grew up in America, but now I live in Wales with my husband, fellow writer Patrick Samphire, our sons, "Mr Darcy" and "Mr X", and our sweet (and extremely vocal) tabby cat, Pebbles. I write fun, funny MG fantasy novels (most recently The Princess who Flew with Dragons) and wildly romantic adult historical fantasy novels and novellas (most recently Moontangled).

Fierce Company, a Finished Quartet, and a Frothy Rom-Com Short Story

I have news! Fierce Company, the final novella in my Good Neighbors quartet of cozy-spooky fantasy rom-coms (following the same couple across all four stories towards their happily ever after, like a TV miniseries of their romance) is out now as an ebook for all of my $5/month patrons on Patreon. If you subscribe now, you can scoop up all four ebooks (comprising about 60,000 words of metal magic,

Yes! I'm reading it to my 8-year-old. We're only a few chapters in so far, but it's been a lovely read-together book for us!

Thank you! I've added them. I'm surprised it's taken me so long to read her, as I've heard so many good things about her writing for years. So much to read, so little time!

Oh, I'm so glad you enjoyed Kat, Incorrigible!

My personal favorite Heyer novels (each of them quite different from each other) are The Talisman Ring (my top favorite!), Devil's Cub, and Faro's Daughter. The nice thing is, there was so much variety in her writing, if you try different novels of hers, you're almost sure to find at least one that clicks!
