Ginevra Mancinelli was born in 1992 in Rome, Italy, to a Filipino mother and an Italian father. Growing up between France and Switzerland, she studied Literature, Foreign Languages and eventually graduated from Law school in Lausanne, Switzerland. Abandoning the idea of becoming a magistrate after witnessing the system's idleness in a case involving racial prejudice against a black student, Mancinelli spent two years rebuilding herself and chose to pursue her passion for writing.

Mancinelli writes from her perspective particularly when it comes to mixed races, age gap, stepfamilies, bisexuality, eating disorder, and depression. Her books are considered own voices.

I don't consider myself a stellar writer; there are many things that could always use improvement. While I draft, I try not to think to much about the wording. In the editing phase, I use tools like ProWritingAid to help me fix base issues such as passive voice, prepositions, etc. After that, I proofread out loud with the help of alpha/beta readers, editors, critique partners--whoever is available to contribute and polish the novel.

There is no secret behind writing, you improve the more you write and practice. Taking significant breaks also helps you refresh your vocabulary and avoid using the same expressions. Some say you need to read a lot to write well, and while I do advocate for reading, I think you shouldn't read while you write. Do it before or after a project, to avoid absorbing someone else's style.(less)

Thank you for your question. It's a broad one, and I could go on forever listing the tips I give myself when writing, but since you're in the brainstorming phase, I'll tell you this. Usually, what I do is grab a notebook and write down everything that comes to mind for that particular novel, and then I try to draft the first chapter. Around the time it's done, I ask a couple of readers to beta it. I like going through developmental ideas with them, and then I come up with a very loose outline of where I want the story to go. I rely heavily on the Five-Act Structure by Propp and Larivaille, if you want to know more about it, I have 5-6 videos about it on my TikTok page. Have fun writing my dear!(less)

No, Sephy isn't Lady, and Xion isn't the Tramp. Our protagonists seem to enjoy switching to the point you never know which role belongs to whom. On one side, you have a pretty little thing, Seph
