Sarah was born in Hertfordshire, where she lived and worked for many years in the NHS. In 2012 she carried the Olympic Torch in St Albans on its last leg before moving on to Hemel Hempstead. 'Aside from my book being printed, carrying the torch was one of the most incredible days of my life. I was honoured to have been successful in my nomination and I shall be forever grateful for the opportunity.'

Sarah graduated from Oxford Brookes University in 2019 with a merit in Creative Writing. She now lives in rural Northamptonshire with her partner Keith and their dog and cats. She continues to write, paint and work as a survivorship coach. Merry Go Round is her first novel.

I think perhaps the recurring dream I had where the details were incredibly vivid. I dreamt about an hotel for months, if not years. It wasn't a place I had been to and yet it was real to me. I could feel the stone flags of the foyer under my feet. The pine staircase with its dark green fleur de lys patterned carpet and 1908's styled paint work; pale green above a dark pink and a pine dado rail. Nothing bad happened to me in the dream although I was given a choice as to which corridor I took to find my room. It was all very mysterious, as though there was a subliminal message there for me. Until that was, I found myself many years later in 'that' hotel. It was horrifying and profound all at the same time.

Thanks so much for asking :-D

The squeak of the rope as it twisted in the breeze echoed in the muted forest air. (less)
