Roxie Voorhees heard Rob Zombie's "Living Dead Girl" at 16-years-old and hasn't stopped striving to be an irresistible creature who has an insatiable love for the dead since. When she isn’t reading, she is writing, and when she isn’t writing she is creating something with her hands while binge watching Buffy.

Originally from Central California, she now resides with her twins and mastador, Bellatrix, in NE Indiana, where she is hella progressive, refuses to use the word pop, and dreams of a proper taco. She is currently working on her first novel and a graphic novel series with her daughter.

"I have not read this, just wanted to sort my thoughts out since a GR friend's review brought it to my attention.

By all accounts, this is a fascinating and powerful memoir of a unique life. I expect it is a very good book, with great early press. But" Read more of this review »

How to Be an Antiracist by Ibram X. Kendi
“To truly be antiracist is to be feminist. To truly be feminist is to be antiracist. [...] We cannot be antiracist if we are homophobic or transphobic. [...] All Black lives include those of poor transgender Black women, perhaps the most violated and oppressed of all the Black intersectional groups.”
