Stole this from [info:] josephine_myles and various others on my friends list. Fed it the first chapter of The Cellmate and this is what it gave me:

I write like
James Joyce

I Write Like by Mémoires, Mac journal software. Analyze your writing!

Funny, I didn't know he wrote m/m prison porn. Guess I should have read Ulysses after all.

Meet the Author day

Hi all! This Saturday, July 3, I'll be doing the "Meet the Author" event on the Dreamspinner facebook page. I'll be there all afternoon (1 pm - 6 pm EST) chatting, answering questions, posting excerpts, and running contests for a free ebook or two. If you get a chance, I'd love it if you felt like stopping by to say hi!

Thank you! ♥

Everything Under the Sun review and more

First, some news: Reviews by Jesse Wave posted their review of Everything Under the Sun this week. This is one of the most popular review sites for m/m romance, so I was thrilled to hear that they had chosen to review my li'l book, and have been anxiously checking and re-checking the site all week. And now it's up, and I am absolutely jumping up and down over it. An excerpt:

First, some news: Reviews by Jesse Wave posted their review of Everything Under the Sun this week. This is one of the most popular review sites for m/m romance, so I was thrilled to hear that they had chosen to review my li'l book, and have been anxiously checking and re-checking the site all week. And now it's up, and I am absolutely jumping up and down over it. An excerpt:

I highly recommend this book. I couldn’t put it down and read late into the night because I wanted to see how it ended. Rachel West is a new author and I’m very impressed with this first offering from her. All that’s left to say is that if you like strong character based books, a bit of angst, a bit of humour and a story which has you scrambling to finish the book, then you can’t go wrong with Everything Under the Sun. I shall be looking out for other books by this author.

They gave it 4.75 out of 5 stars. You can read the full review right here. Is it wrong that I'm tickled by the phrase "a surprisingly great read?" Because I totally am. Hee. :)

Second! Dreamspinner is running a Summer Recommended Reads contest on Facebook, and Everything Under the Sun is one of the nominees. If you are on Facebook and are so inclined, please click here and vote!

And third. This is silly, but look! Seth!

Apparently he's become a discreet young gentleman. Who knew?
