Lt. A.J. Duplantier, Jr. was a Forward Observer with the 372nd Field Artillery Batallion of the 99th Division. In 1944, his unit was spread thinly across the battlefront of the Ardennes Forest in Belgium. His war diary, first published decades ago, is once again in print.
