Born in Marshall, Minnesota,
October 30, 1953
Third of six sons of Ron and Jeri Ullrich.
Served in the USAF during the Vietnam War

My desire to become a writer was a direct result of my father’s influence, though he didn’t know it. He was a voracious reader, to say the least. When I approached him at the age of 8 or 9 for something to read, (wanting to be like dad, you know), He handed me Tarzan by Edgar Rice Burroughs. I read almost all of them in the next two years.
When I finished the Tarzan series, he handed me a Louis Lamour western, I believe it was titled the First Fast Draw. I consumed all his Lamour’s in less than a year. Next was Earl Stanley Gardner and Perry Mason. The seeds for crime fiction were well planted by Mr

Yes I do Scott. I've had some success with Facebook, though not up to my expectations as far as return on investment.
I have had excellent response through Goodreads, and decent response from Facebook and Twitter on Free Kindle version giveaways.
I've developed a list of readers for advance release copies, which gets me reviews prior to release.
I have had moderate success selling through my website. I offer autographed copies at same price as Amazon, and ship free to lower 48.
I've also tried local book stores and signings with few results - that may be due to my lack of promoting the event; relying on the bookstore.
Advertising - running a campaign through Amazon KDP is reasonable, as you set the daily budget.
All in all, I've gotten the best response from Facebook, but it hasn't been profitable. I get about 50% of my royalties through Kindle Unlimited with approx 3000 pages a month - the equivalent of about 30 books per month.

Hope that helps, and good luck. Send me a link to your work if you've published and I will put something on my to-review list.

I have heard from readers that cried, laughed, got mad at me, wanted to hug me, wanted to hit me, wanted to adopt me and one that wanted to "pound me into the ground like a tent peg." I know I have accomplished my goal through the reactions of the readers.(less)

I have written about it myself - they can bring out the best and the worst in us. Such is the legacy of the Dalton family of Killen, Georgia.
