I have been writing poetry since I was probably 10 or even younger and this book has poems from when I was 18. Writing poetry had always been a deeply personal exercise until I entered my twenties, it was only then that I was open to sharing some of it on blogs or poetry platforms.

The idea to publish "Death & Darker Realms" occurred to me only in 2018, when I thought 'hey, maybe I should collect some of the darker poems and publish them in a book'. And a year later, I was able to realize that dream.

Although it was my mother who had sown the idea in my head to publish a poetry collection way back in 2014, when I had just quit my job as a TV journalist to travel a little. Back then, the mere idea seemed like blasphemy. "Sharing my poems with the world? No way!". But I slowly warmed up to the idea. And here we are, with my first book finally out. (less)

Graphic novels are a great way to refresh your mind and possibly get over that 'writer's block'. (less)

‘Love, Death + Robots’ Vol 2 – Quick Review

Netflix has released the second volume of ‘Love, Death + Robots’, an anthology of short animated films and well… they are not riveting. While the first edition with 18 films on the menu offered a wide range of stories – from super stunning to shitty stuff, the second volume with just 8 movies on offer is largely just slow, boring and repetitive.

The first one titled ‘Automated Customer Service’ is

What a muddle of a book. Wanted to stop reading it at several points. This is what one gets for picking out a novel just because it was available for very cheap at a book shop.

You might be better off with a good old Agatha Christie Mystery.

"I took this book up expecting a light read, based on the story, though the size (at ~450 pages) did surprise me. While the book had a decent story, it was just about an average read.

I want to be nice and give this book a 3 on 5, but I just did not enjoy reading it. It had a few fun moments, but too few for a 250+ pages book about a father obsessing over his son's need for an expensive phone. It would've made a great 50 page shor ...more
