Hi, I live in Adelaide, Australia in a beachside suburb where I enjoy walks along the esplanade.

My novels, Lethal Legacy and Deadly Secrets, are standalone Australian political conspiracy mystery thriller novels with suspense and intrigue.

My short stories have appeared in the UK anthology 'When Stars Will Shine'; the Australian anthology 'Fledglings'; the UK Writers' and Readers' Magazine; and the Canadian Scarlet Leaf Review.

I have an overactive interest in politics and that, combined with my life experience, including a public service career spanning roles as diverse as Management trainer, Team Facilitator, Statistician, and Laboratory assistant, fuel my writing. I've scribbled story snippets and scenes all my life, but in 2011 I got se

Whenever I get a bit stuck I find I can go back over what I've written and that starts the creative juices flowing again. The other activity that helps is going for a walk along the beachfront near where I live.

It can be a consuming process, and I often lose track of time as I write.
I also love being part of such a great community. Writers are supportive of one another and I have had enormous help as I navigated my way through publication.
Of course, connecting with readers who have enjoyed my book, and reading their reviews is also great. (less)

Writing Believable Baddies - A Hornets Nest?

In my latest book, Lethal Legacy, I’m told by readers that the villain feels human. I’m not sure why, but male readers sometimes ‘like’ him while female readers usually don’t. I hadn’t written him to be likeable, just to be three-dimensional and real. I added his backstory and emotional issues to add perspective and to help understand some of his anger. But to me, that doesn’t make him likeable. J

I'm a fan of Scott Turow's writing. His storytelling, in this book, slowly reveals a deep plot, although it's easy to skim the surface without thinking too deeply about the plot.

The story is about two identical twins, one imprisoned for the murder of
