Jamie Thomas began crafting stories in the fourth grade with a tale of a brother and sister who accidentally bring the birds on their hotel wallpaper to life. Even though she ended with the cliched “It was all a dream” gimmick, she still won a regional young writers competition that year, thus beginning a lifelong love affair with the written word.

I am possessed of a rather overactive imagination; I always have been. As a writer, I am able to bring the things I dream to life in prose, and there is nothing more thrilling for a lifelong lover of the written word. Unfortunately I fear I have far too many stories in my head to ever tell in a single lifetime, but I am having enormous fun trying! (less)

I attempted the Goodreads Challenge for 2019 and failed miserably, due in no small part to the fact that I could not could reading the book I was working on over and over again. Here's hoping I have grown as both a writer and a reader in 2020, because I am determined to read fifty books this year in addition to finishing my second novel.

My first book of the year is Daphne du Maurier's incomparabl Read more of this blog post »

“For such is the nature of love. You make choices, you do what you think is right, and you must allow others the same, even if the risk is great, even if they suffer regret. To do so is their choice, and theirs alone.”
