Families can be complicated. Everyone can relate to that. That’s why Rosey Lee writes about them. Her upcoming novel, THE GARDINS OF EDIN, will be released in spring 2024. Rosey has a knack for writing contemporary stories inspired by well-known books and answering the question of what happened next. "Wind Chill", a short story that provides a modern day response to GONE WITH THE WIND, earned Rosey a nomination for the Best of the Net anthology. Read it FREE in BEAUTIFUL, COMPLICATED FAMILY: VOLUME 1 (prices may vary outside the US). Get the second volume of the collection FREE by signing up for Rosey’s newsletter at https://www.roseyleebooks.com.

If it's a protracted bout of writer’s block, that usually means I need a longer time out. Then I plan a weekend of relaxation (usually a staycation where I unplug and decompress). I've also found that online writing workshops help to get my creative juices flowing. (less)

Best of the Net nomination

Self-publishing my upcoming flash fiction collection (Beautiful, Complicated Family) has made things pretty busy. I’m learning a lot during this process, and I’m also having fun. I can hardly wait for November 5 to get here so I can share the collection with everyone. Despite being pulled in multiple directions, I received some wonderful news yesterday that forced me to slow down for a little bit. Read more of this blog post »
