Ilchi Lee Book Talk on Connect Says “Aloha!”

Five hundred people joined the Connect Book Talk and Workshop hosted by Body & Brain Yoga Tai Chi at the Hawaii Convention Center in Honolulu on Saturday, October 26, 2019. Close to another 3000 people watched the three-hour event live online on the Body & Brain Yoga YouTube channel. Ilchi Lee’s two-hour talk about his latest book, Connect: How to Find Clarity and Expand Your Consciousness with Pineal Gland Meditation, was the main feature. The hour preceding it, however, delighted the audience with taiko drumming performances, a special qigong performance, and Body & Brain Yoga exercises.

The main theme of the event in addition to “connect” was “Aloha,” a Hawaiian word meaning the presence of the breath of life. It is Aloha that unites us, said Mahealani Wong, who opened the event with a Hawaiian prayer. At the end of our journey, she said, Aloha is what is left.

Ilchi Lee expressed that Aloha is a word for connection, for love, peace, and compassion for all. During his talk, Ilchi Lee had the audience on their feet, dancing freely with the “Aloha spirit.” He asked everyone to move with this spirit in their everyday lives so that they can live connected to themselves, to each other, and to the creative element of life itself.

To feel this spirit, Ilchi Lee said we need to feel the life energy that flows through us and animates us. This is a kind of meditation, which quiets the mind and emotions and enables us to feel the essence of who we are. Being truly spiritual, he said, means being able to create what we want in our lives from this energy, from the spirit of Aloha.

It was evident that event was filled with Aloha spirit, with each manager of the three Body & Brain Yoga centers and the one Body & Brain Energy Healing Center in Hawaii participating. Jen Angeli of the Energy Healing Center in Manoa served as the emcee and Aiea center manager Chul Kyun Park led Body & Brain Yoga exercises such as BHP (Brain Education Healing Point) Energy Healing. Many active members contributed as well, highlighting the engaged and enthusiastic nature of the Hawaiian Body & Brain community. Members there run forty-four outreach activities and have helped organize many events in Body & Brain’s twenty-two-year history in the area.

In her presentation on this history, Kaimuki center manager Cat Sawai said that Body & Brain grows “kupunas,” honored elders with a lot of life experience who are leaders in the community. Through the practice, members heal their bodies and raise their consciousness. Then they naturally want to share what they’ve gained with other people in their community. In this way, the Body & Brain community in Hawaii is working on its goal to create a happy, healthy Hawaii.

Body & Brain plans to host a larger event featuring Ilchi Lee in 2020.

[Vlog] Climbing 1,048 Steps in Hawaii

On the Island of Oahu, Hawaii, there is a trail that was originally made to transport military supplies during World War II. Known as the Koko Crater Trail, or Koko Head, it has 1,048 steps to the top. These steps are necessary because the slope of the hill is steep. Last week, despite my busy schedule, I took on the challenge to climb to the summit and pray for the Earth and humanity.

I started at 6 AM with some of my students and my staff in hand. Although at times the going was difficult, I enjoyed the beautiful weather and scenery. All along the way, I thought of the path I had taken to get to this point in my life and all of the people who have been working hard with me along the way. As I got closer to the summit, I was reminded of the peaceful, harmonious world we have been striving to create, step by step.

Each of the steps we took was a choice. Although making any choice is hard, if you don’t make a choice, nothing can happen. Eventually any choice leads to joy and hope. But there is no hope for those who do not choose. That’s why, no matter how hard it is, I choose to go forward. I choose this not only for myself, but for the people who look to me for guidance and encouragement.

I renamed Koko Head as Gogo Head in my mind to encourage myself to keep going. When I reached the top, I was greeted by an amazing view and friendly people who wanted to take pictures with me. There, I played the flute to express how I felt at that moment and prayed for the completion of the growth of all of my students.

I’d like to encourage you, too, to keep going toward your own destination. I made this vlog to share this beautiful trail with you and to share the messages that came to my mind along the way. I hope you live a life of hope and joy.

Do You Know Who You Really Are?

Your true bright nature

You are nature, whole and complete, bright like the sun.

You are great love and great peace.

You are a creator, who can create anything, without being attached to any information.

Accept who you are with gratitude and affirm it strongly.

Infinite power and courage arise out of affirmation.

Affirm and believe in yourself.

Whatever happens, think of yourself as the only person you can believe in.

That trust is how you feed who you really are.

That is the basic mindset for letting your true nature shine through.

What Is the Condition of Your Brain?

one step at a time

Do you ever think about the condition of your brain, the command center for your life?

Why not check it now? Is it filled with confidence and hope or negativity and victimization?

Whatever state it’s in right now, that condition won’t continue forever. You can loose your confidence in the next moment or turn your day around by looking on the bright side.

The good news is that you’ve been given the power and authority to choose the state of your brain at any given moment, no matter how difficult or troubling your current situation may be.

Doing this, however, requires continuous choosing and practicing. They say that a baby usually toddles stably only after falling down and getting back up about 1,500 times. It’s only natural then that stably choosing a positive and powerful brain takes numerous attempts and trial and error.

As with all power, this comes with responsibility. No one else can choose the condition of your brain for you. A Power Brain is someone who has clearly realized: “I am responsible for my life and the condition of my brain!”

Pineal Gland Meditation is a shortcut that allows you to lift up the condition of your brain several levels instead of dragging it up step by step, so that you can more easily be a Power Brain. Learn Pineal Gland Meditation in my most recent book, Connect: How to Find Clarity and Expand Your Consciousness with Pineal Gland Meditation.

[Video] Dance with Me

Did you know you are an amazing dancer? You may not have realized it, but we all have the natural ability to move our body. Sometimes it’s hidden, though, because we are self-conscious and compare ourselves to others.

Dance can be as simple as getting up and moving your body as you want. It’s a great exercise. It not only keeps your body healthy, it also helps to liven up your life.

Stretch your legs, rotate your back, turn your neck and you’ll find that you are dancing.

Won’t you try it with the crowd at the talk I gave for my book, Connect: How to Find Clarity and Expand Your Consciousness with Pineal Gland Meditation in Mesa, Arizona? Watch the video and join in.

[Vlog] Visiting the Sacred Waters of Te Waikoropupū Springs

Do you enjoy spending time in nature? Whenever I immerse myself in nature’s beauty, I can’t help feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. I always get a sense of my true self—the the voice and energy inside that is constant, the essence of my highest state of being.

I have that feeling often in the pristine natural beauty of New Zealand. While I’ve spent most of my time in the wonders of the North Island of New Zealand, I was recently invited by a friend to the country’s South Island, to the Nelson area. As part of my visit, I visited Te Waikoropupū Springs, which is one of the world’s clearest springs and a sacred place to the native Maori people.

As the sound of the water washed away my thoughts and emotions and I felt the sacredness of the spring, I was reminded again of how truly beautiful and amazing Mother Nature is.

I was so impressed that I asked a companion to shoot this short vlog so that I could share this amazing place. I hope you enjoy this time with nature.

Don’t Underestimate Your Brain

Ilchi Lee four elements

Don’t underestimate your brain,

for it can draw on enormous power.

And your brain is already equipped with everything it needs.

It is ready to experience the full spectrum of consciousness,

from shame and guilt to the heights of enlightenment.

The human brain is capable of experiencing

a fall into the hell of victim consciousness in one moment,

feeling the hatred of everyone in the world,

only to rise in another moment

and experience lofty, pure love for all life.

Our consciousness is like a light shining moment by moment.

What mode of consciousness you choose and activate

is up to you as the master of your own brain.

Of course, if you’re just letting your brain be,

having given up on becoming its master,

it will not be able to operate at this level.

Just as you use and manage your smartphone every day,

shouldn’t you be able to use and handle your brain properly

if you are its master?

You likely take great care of your smartphone.

If you aren’t just as interested in the condition of your own brain,

it will be hard for you to manifest

its infinite power, potential, and creativity.

My Road to Enlightenment

When I was a child and a teenager, I wasn’t able to adapt to society’s expectations and as a result I experienced hardships. I lived without being in charge of my brain, and I couldn’t see my value. Have you ever felt that way?

There came a moment in my life when I decided to take back my brain and recover my self-esteem. I tell the story of how I did it in this video.

Years after recovering my self-esteem, I still had a lot of questions about my life and its purpose. I decided to go deeper and discover more about myself through meditation. I trained extremely hard; I didn’t eat, sleep, or lie down for 21 days. Do you want to know what I found after those 21 days? Hear the second part of my story, which actually is the beginning of my story.
