Raised in a family of book lovers, Misha's mother first encouraged her to read by offering to pay her two cents per page of Hop on Pop, by Dr. Seuss. At first Misha was happy just to be raking in the cash, but before long she traded the pennies for the riches of the written word, and since that time she’s seldom been seen without a book in her hand.

Her first novel was published in 2008; in 2010 she was a finalist for the Bronte Prize for Romantic Fiction.
Misha is married and lives, works and writes in Northern Virginia.

Well, friends, I guess I should come clean about something: I have run away to Los Angeles. Okay, actually I drove. (By myself. Cross-country. I have never done anything like that before, and it was amazing.)

In brief, here’s what happened: about fifteen years ago, I made my first trip to L.A., and I immediately fell in love with the place. It’s not that I don’t love my home state of Virginia: b...
